It’s possible for canceled withdrawal request to not return funds to account. The routine should NOT even mark itself complete until the funds are returned to customer. Canceled $34 but only have $14 in account? Fail! 😢

I'm very new to Invision Community. (I have a cloud community.) I come from a WordPress background (8+ years) and I'd been doing things online for many years before that, so I'm not unfamiliar with updates and such. However, for some reason I'm a little hesitant to update my Invision Community now that I've launched my site and I have members. I think part of it is that I feel out of control of everything -- on a WP site, I make my own backups (of files and the database) and know exactly what to do if I need to restore an old backup or rollback a plugin. Is there a raw editor, namely in my case for records? I want to insert responsive html elements with css (and javascript such as ads) into the records (in my case are articles). The WYSIWIG editor doesn't work for this at all. I have to manually paste code directly into the MySQL database... not ideal. A raw mode to privileged user would solve this (able to post raw html).

I inherited a site on a host that has been problematic, and want to move the board to a different host I have had better experiences with for other sites. Is there a migration guide available showing the best way to do this? I have a full backup from the old site and can let it stay up while getting things moved. I can probably figure this out eventually, but if anyone has written up a cookbook of what I need to consider I would appreciate being pointed in that direction. Thanks Bill

Hello, I'm thinking about expanding available usergroups on my forum since group promotion possibilities have been vastly improved since 3.4. To this day I had only these groups: newbie group for newly registered members user group with more access to various functions when they reach 50 posts a VIP group that is given to very deserving members or donators even more permissions Now that I look at it I think there are more possibilities to make things more interesting but before I close myself in a dark room to do some creative thinking about it all can any of you share what have you implemented in your forums to engage users and keep them wantin…

I'm trying to figure out how to stop IPB from sending out emails to users who are following specific forums. Unfortunately out of the few people that actually use the function, most of them are either not active or their emails don't exist anymore so they're just bouncing. Any way to completely deactivate this feature?

Hi I've created my membership site using IP board , wordpress SSO , memberpress and memberoni. The problem I'm facing is : Members with incomplete payments have access to forums (IP board) . I tried limiting access to the page through memberpress but that didn't work. When a user does not complete payment they shouldn't be able to access forums So my question is : Is there a solution to this ? , does IP board handle this ? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

I've only recently updated and I really like the idea of the Fluid view, I really want to make it my default view. However I have a couple of problems. My forum has enough different sections and subsections with their own pinned messages that the entire first and second page of the Fluid view are just showing pinned posts. Is there any way to make specific pinned posts not appear as pinned in the Fluid view?

I am considering moving my community from self-hosted environment to the Invision Cloud, so I have a couple of questions about this process. 1. If you opt for the Amazon storage configuration, does this apply to all data stored in your community, or can you set it up to only store archived data and then use your Invision storage for the most recent files stored? 2. When it comes to the software upgrades, are these automatically done or does one still have to manually do the upgrades? Hi I noticed that when creating a downloads block for a file feed sorted randomly that it massively favors older files and doesn't at all look random. Hello everybody, my goal is to convert my XF2 board to IPB. After buying and installation on a testserver all works fine, but the conversation failed with the message: The path entered appears to be invalid The entered path is the following: /var/www/virtual/domain.de/htdocs/forum/internal_data/attachments (i.e. for the attachments) Can someone tell me where is my issue? I tried many possibilities with ending slash, without ending slash, path as http://www.domain.de........ Nothing helps and a conversion is impossible. Someone a hint for me?

I'm looking to migrate our clubs site from vBulletin and using a test site it's went great so far. However the only thing I'm struggling with is migrating our Premium Subscribers. How exactly is this done? Can't even see a way to manually add a subscription to members.

Hi, I've made a group blog, with a member group as contributors. So far so good, but now I want our moderators to be able to approve blog posts before they're published, but I can't find any options for this in ACP or anywhere else. Have I missed something here? Any workarounds?

Is there a way to choose which image will appear when I share links to my website pages on Facebook? When I share a product it will show the product image on Facebook automatically but some other links to pages or forums etc just show the default website logo. Can I set custom images for certain pages?

Is there a way for members to browse a list of all the members that have an account on our site? My site is a music platform so essentially they would be browsing all the Artists. It would be great if I could choose which groups appear in this list too so I could only show members that are actually Artists with releases in the Downloads app instead of showing all members

Something odd happened to me. I was reading a new topic on my forums. No problems. After that I started reading new posts of another topic. Strangely enough, without me having selected anything, I got that odd little statusbar on the bottom in which you can choose what to do with 1 selected post. I checked all posts in the complete thread and not a single post was selected. Since I could not get rid of that status bar, I choose to just put that unknown selected post as hidden and afterwards unhid it again. The hiding worked and the statusbar was gone.
