is there a way to limit paid files only to a certain category? i want to restrict members to ul paid files only in one specific category.

Nope. You can do it with a plugin.

Nope, I think that 10$ without any further renewal fees is a reasonable price

Can this plugin limit paid files categories by member group?

IE : group 1 can upload to category 1 and group 3 can upload to category 2?

also what happens to existing paid files in categories if this is enabled

1) No not with the current version
2) I think they'll become "free" but not sure.. This plugin is really meant to be used for new categories and not existing ones. I've changed the description 🙂
