HI, We use status updates a lot. A member has asked how they can pin a status update to the top of their profile so that when someone visits their profile the status is what is seen first. Is this out of the box functionality? Is it possible? Thank you 🙂

This is a guide for organize header widgets into 3 column, this concept could be extended to 4-5 column with automated configuration (A idea for custom theme). Is it possible to rerun the marketplace setup? I thought that one of my apps was purchased outside of the marketplace on the developer website and marked it accordingly, turned out that wasn't the case and I do have a valid purchase here. So I want to re-run the initial marketplace setup wizard and mark this application correctly, is that possible or it is one shot only?

Is it possible out of the box, with no plugins, to set up a page in Pages that would pull content from the feeds of multiple Invision Community sites? Say for example you ran a sport focused network of communities that didn't make sense to run as individual clubs on a single install (and you want each on their own domain with own theme and own install), but you wanted to show popular posts from "across the network" to cross promote other communities in that network of sites. Hi guys, Have just updated to 4.5.3 and noticed that even using default theme, the navbar shows all the sublinks in the line below. It didn't do this before, and doesn't appear to in this invision community forum either? Is there an issue with my forums template? Is the same whether in grid view or normal. Also noticed that the forums display the subforums too, which makes it look very messy. Anyway to fix these two issues? Thanks Dave

Hi, is it possible to backup applications and plugins so you can get a copy of the tar/xml file like before? Use cases: Depending on the changelog, I might decide not to upgrade a certain plugin or app and want to reinstall it. I might need to install it in my test enviroment, which is not connected to the internet. I think I found the *.tar files in /tmp however, I'm not sure where to find the xml files.

How can I freeze the renewal purchases from counting down? In other words, how can I automatically extend the length of select purchaes? I'm a developer so I don't mind REST APIs or developer oriented solutions as an answer -- I just can't see how this would be done efficiently given what I see within the REST API. Thanks!

Is there a setting to prevent a member from manually ending a subscription in Commerce? I've looked and can't seem to find such a setting. This is not for me, but a client of mine who wants subscribers to write him when they want to cancel - he's writing something into his T&C's that requires notice of cancellation - so that he can manually cancel and then remove the member from the members list as it is a requirement that members must be subscribers; the site is for Union members. Guests can browse, but benefits and services are for members only. The problem of members cancelling themselves has revolved around people joining for a specific purpose and then …

Is there some way a standard member can get a membership list with a sort by a custom profile field or similar? For instance. If members are all part of regional physical clubs not associated with the website, can another member sort by physical club as answered in profile or would I need to use another method? If so, what?

Hi there! I'm looking to sell accounts on my website through the Commerce->Products functionality. Essentially, when a user buys the product, they get account info (email address and password to a given service). It looks like revealing dynamic content to purchasers of products is not possible outside of the built in license functionality which isn't going to suffice here from what I can tell. I tried using custom fields on the products but it doesn't look like it can differ for each purchase on the product. Any ideas how to do this?

My new content search for the site displays unread items. If I change the Read Status to everything, it lists the first page ok However if I select load more content, I get told "There's no more activity to display" If I change the time period to "all time" I get the rest of the content that's missing. What can I do to clear this? Server time, date etc is fine.

Hello, I operate a large forum for my gaming organization, I currently have Wordpress as my main landing page, and IPB as my forums. I wish to somehow accomplish everything I'm doing between 2 websites via IPB. I just don't understand how to not have my forums look just like.. forums. Does anyone know how similar content from tags side bar box works? Is there a trick to getting it to work on my forum? I just set tags up forum wide and starting adding some but the box still doesn't populate. Also, is there any side bar tag clouds for IPB 4.5? Thanks!

Hi guys, I'm trying to create some sort of automation to Facebook via Zapier in order to include certain topics tagged with a certain keyword so they would be picked up by a custom RSS stream and thus delivered to Zapier and from it to the FB page. Now I see the usual way would be to use this - But sad thing is that there is no option to include TAGS. It has everything except for that... However I thought of this workaround - create a new ACTIVITY STREAM where you CAN set a tag. And by extension all Activity streams have RSS streams. So it kind of does what I want. When I ran the support function today I was notified that there was an optional patch to fix a Facebook login issue, as well as other issues, including a fix for an exploit where bots can spam using the email share feature. This actually horrified me. Why would this patch not be pushed through as an immediate update security patch, instead of optional? For weeks now I've been seeing strange unexplained bounces that didn't make sense. How much spam did this exploit allow? I'm really shocked as how you handled the roll out of this fix. Email exploits are the oldest hacking activity there is...why would you have such an exploit in your software?

How are you all doing? Hope you're well! So I have this 'custom' Pages block on my board that basically resembles the old IPB 2.3.x 'newslink' (pic below). I am looking to try and have the latest thread link automatically be placed within the newslink topic as so: So for example: "domain.com/forums/topic/" but I want the latest thread in the News & Announcements forum in this newslink automatically. Is there any way we can integrate local payment gateway other than few listed at the backend? Appreciate any documentation, files, codes, plugin or app who can do this integration, please.
