We are looking in the Help Guides for any guidance and / or good practices on handling links and tags. The ability for Members to exploit these to benefit their external websites is something we like to avoid unless this practice, by itself, would be a turn-off to our Members.

There I said it! I’ve disliked this widget for a long time. Before a bunch of folks pile on with “well that’s just your opinion”, yeah I get that but let me explain my opinion It doesn’t have a DISTINCT in the count query. Meaning instead of counting 1 download per person it actually encourages folks to cheat and download there stuff multiple times to get into the top list. “But can’t you just moderate for that?” It takes tons of work to check everything all the time. Hi there, can't find - how can I limit cover photo size for user blogs, it's looks m... strange, when cover photo is 5 mb or so, and also in blog list mode FULL SIZE PHOTO loaded as thumbnail! WOW!... 3-4-5 mb loaded (x 25 blogs in a list view) to show a little thumbnail size image!

I am setting up a site, and up till now, i have used blogs as the front page. It has a nice grid system, where the latest post is shown with a large image, and the next get listed in smaller and smaller boxes. Now, i want to make a proper front page, where i can add custom boxes, to certain areas of the site, but i also wanted to include a a section with a blog post feed. There is a blok under Blogs that is called a blog post feed, but that only lists the posts with no featured image, and it is not even a grid - just a pretty boring list that is imo a waste of space for the front page. Hey guys, I have decided to upgrade to 4.4 and I'm thinking about throwing out the old cms I was using in favor of Pages app to be the homepage and I have this question. Is it possible to incorporate the content which is individual to each logged in member when he clicks on Unread content as a block on the homepage among other blocks. It would be like a personalized block for each member. And if a member is not logged then just newest topics/posts are shown and that's that. No personalization in the case. Is it possible?

Hello, currently when I use the "Search by tags" feature, the search request returns all results having either one of the tags specified. For example if I search for the tags "tutorial" and "youtube" it shows all the results that have the tags "tutorial" OR "youtube", however I only want all the results that are tagged with both "tutorial" AND "youtube". Is this possible with the current version of Invision Community or is there some kind of plugin i could use?

Hello, I would like to know if this is possible to add an action button so authors of a topic (and moderators) can click and mark the topic as "solved". I think there is something like that with the "Questions" type of forums, but is this possible with "Discussions" too ?

Hey. I would ask some help. I managed to make a new application for my gameservers which update the user stuffs ( admin/vip etc) So i have a Member Sync extension everytime when user update the profile which is update data from custome field into the gameserver DB. I have custome row when the user update the custome field that custome row is change to 1 and i created a task which is reset the custome row to 0 every day. Is there some query code for check the custome row? if its 1 then i want to show an error message instead of execute my code. public function onProfileUpdate( $member, $changes ) { thereismycustomecode. }

Good afternoon everyone, Just curious as to whether it is possible to set the system to lock an account after a period of inactivity, with conditions of course. For example, if a member was no longer a subscriber and hadn't been active within 90 days of their subscription running out, is there a way to set a rule to do this? Obviously admin accounts would be exempt from this. Not looking to do this maliciously, but it would help us re-group members during our quarterly shuffle. All suggestions are welcome. Can you let us know if the acronyms that we insert into the Acronym Expansion panel get crawled by search engine spiders? How is this function supposed to work / why was it created? Is there a best practice that would allow us to take acronyms that are only related to competitors and insert them into another section or panel which would prevent search engine crawling or prevent competitors from using our IPS platform to boost their own SEO rankings? I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of this text editor that is making it overly complicated to create longer form forum posts (e.g. guides including images), right now people are forced to click and drag images to move them, rather than using a simple function on other forums like {img} or {spoiler}{/spoiler} (using brackets the first time works fine, but once you go to edit it, there's no way to get the bracketed format back and you're stuck dealing with clunky click and drags). How would I revert the text editor to using that more basic format or allow others to choose which text editor they'd like.

How can I translate the e-mails like the verification e-mail? Or is there a way to send them in another language then English by default? I coulnd't find it in the templates or language file. Odd thing... the welcome e-mail is send translated. The activation e-mail is not.

I would like to tag whole group sometimes - so i can alert few peeps in special groups rather then tagging them individually. Is their any way to do it? Plus i would like to keep it limited based on group so no one can tag @-users - has it would send notification to 8000 registered users. Ex - Only Group A, B, C and D can use group mention feature and Only groups X Y and Z can be mentioned/tagged.

I'm an admin of my own form. In the admin member group I activated "Bypass flood control" and in the staff directory Administrators are unrestricted. Still when posting a message, and posting one right after, they are merged together. Am I missing something?

All images that have .JPG, .GIF are opened with a separate page, and if you rename the same image to .jpg or .gif there are no problems, they open in the message itself and have the ability to scroll. Ie the photo opens in a new window, if with a small jpg, then scrolling works .... Resizing and rebuilding all images on the forum does not resolve the issue. This problem arose and after updating to the new version 4.4.0, I also had it in ipb 4.4.1 How to fix this problem?
