In the APC we have the option to change a users reputation and can view reputations received and given. I would like the option to remove reps when viewing reputations received / given. add: maybe also add and option of how many times a user can vote. Think might help stop users trying to abuse the system.

in the admin cp Tools & Settings > System Settings > System > Security and Privacy Under security [Managing Members] Change "Get notified when a new user registers via email?" to "Get notified via email when a new user registers? Because a new user will not be registering by email. (I know, no biggie, but still)

Here are just a few suggestions to consider that would be beneficial. 1. Report Center Suggestion: Add a 'Take Action' button on each report so it's easier to lock threads, delete posts, and warn members. I always have to click the report, then click the thread title, find the offending post, add warning to the member's status, then delete the post. If a button is added next to 'current status' that would bring a drop-down menu with these options, it would save a lot of time. Here's a poorly made example on microsoft paint. 2. I would love to have a way for members to easily be able to browse their various galleries while in the new post or new topic page and be able to select galleries they wish to include in the post. Once you pick your galleries a thumbnail from each gallery is included in the post with a link to the complete gallery. This is much needed for photography oriented sites.

I have been browsing the skins available for ip board, and I must say they are terrible. Huge headers that will only be replaced, unnecessary stylizing details, and bad color schemes. I'm not artist, but I know these don't look good. I like ip board a lot, but I honestly can't find anything good to say about the community skins, paid or free. I'd like to see a few subdued professional-looking skins offered by Invision Power Services themselves.

If the user is in "Invision Power Services > Invision Power Services, Inc. > IPS Company Feedback > IP.Board" then when they enter a search term in the search box in the header, the scope of the search should be limited to the directory they are in. I'm very surprised this isn't the default behavior.

I was just tinkering with subscription mod and noticed there is no link in user cp, so if a user wants to subscribe the only way is tab in navbar, which I would rather not have on the navbar, the only other way is upon registration and a user might want to wait and subscribe at a later date, so my question is....is there a way to put a link in the users cp and take the tab off the navbar?? the navbar gets pretty cluttered up with a lot of mods and this would help eliminate 1 on the navbar. Thanks for any advice.

Alright so phpBB has this feature where once an admin makes a group, they can give it one or more group leaders. Once the group has a leader, these leaders can add/remove members from the member group, which is very useful when you have groups of staff with their own individual leaders as it means they don't need Admin CP access. Is there anything I'm missing like this for IPB? I know it can be done by giving the leader restricted ACP access but that lets them edit any users and put them in any group (except Admins which can be restricted). Cheers, Peter

I just went to validate some users (I have email and admin validation enabled) and saw something I've never seen before. One of the users awaiting admin validation is showing up as "Deleted Member" where the display name is normally located. I upgraded to 3.0.5 from 3.0.4 yesterday. Here's a screenshot showing the Validating page in the ACP: Ignore all the extra links, those are to help me research and tag spammers. In planning the IP.Classifieds app I've been putting some thought towards search and using the current search integration features. It would be great however if it was also possible to also extend advanced search in this way. So say you click "advanced search" when in the classifieds app, you are then presented with an advanced form with pricing, custom field etc. search options. Also the bar that currently displays the result sorting could be extended to include some advanced search options. Hi, I think most translators encountered the problem with ipb that the administration is only partly translatable. Since version 1 and 2, it has been continuously requested that the adminpanel should also be translatable. For me it was a shock when I found out that v3 is only partly translatable. It looks quite unprofessional when some part of it is translated and other parts remain in english. It only double shocked me when recently translating the download addon and found out that the phrases of general setting part is again stored in an xml file, and cannot be translated via the language manager. Hello, I'm a former vBulletin user who has just converted over to IPB. I have a few suggestions to make. With vBulletin, upon registreation, members have to enter their birthdate as part of the sign up process. This birth date is then stored in their membership profile. Members then have the ability to either make this date public, or to make it private within their profile settings. I really like this system for a few reasons... 1-I think it's a better way to comply with COPPA as you always have the registered date in a members profile area. 2-It is a really good piece of information to have on file, as it allows an admin a reference point for identifing memb…

Can you please optimize some of the database queries in the calendar. If you have an active calendar, those select * queries can really cause the month view to load very slowly. We don't really need all the event content for calendarShowMonth or calendarShowWeek and neither do the mini calendars. Cutting out the event content on my calendar cut load times down down to just 1.5 seconds to render the monthview from 10 seconds it took before optimizing. Thanks.

We have Parachat installed, and I was told we can install IP Chat alongside of it, for comparison. I just installed IP.Chat and I can log in to the chatroom, but the message 'Please wait while we load the chatroom...' doesn't disappear. Whenever I'm typing a message it just doesn't show. On the main forum page I can see that I'm in the chatroom. I also tried using IP.Chat with IE but I get the same issue. Made this in the other thread but at Marks request. However my suggestion was. If you have a member behaving inappropriately maybe we should be able to set a ban length of say for instance (or in hours) 1 day 3 days 7 days 30 days etc So that you can quickly ban a member without having to remember that you will need to access the ACP to unban the member in Chat in X number of days etc. What would you like to see added/improved?
