b0x
I just installed IP.Chat and I can log in to the chatroom, but the message 'Please wait while we load the chatroom...' doesn't disappear. Whenever I'm typing a message it just doesn't show. On the main forum page I can see that I'm in the chatroom. I also tried using IP.Chat with IE but I get the same issue. In IE I noticed some script errors:Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0) Timestamp: Wed, 6 Jan 2010 05:18:51 UTC Message: 'ipb.chat.templates' is null or not an object Line: 4067 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://xxxx/index.php?app=ipchat Message: Unterminated string constant Line: 4741 Char: 57 Code: 0 URI: http://xxxx/index.php?app=ipchat Message: Unterminated string constant Line: 4744 Char: 57 Code: 0 URI: http://xxxx/index.php?app=ipchat I just wanted to know if anyone has seen this before (before I open a ticket). b0x
Typical case of user error. Using cp with the '-u' switch doesn't really help. One of the files it doesn't update is [...]/public/js/ips.chat.js. I'll give it another go a bit later. Can I just uninstall IP.Chat, copy all of the files over and the click the install link again?
