When I login to IPS now I'm given two fields; Email address and Password - not mention of username? Wouldn't it be better to have "Username/Email address" since it seems to accept both? Cheers, Shaun :D

I wasn't aware of this functionality until I got a question from one member. I my opinion this is very bad, what could possibly be a reason for an admin to read private chats logs? Private chats should not be logged, neither should moderators/admins have access to private chats in realtime. (Don't know if this is possible)

I wouldn't be surprised if someone else has suggested this. And I mentioned it in another thread but I'm not sure if the staff saw it. Me and my forum members REALLY would like to continue having BOTH a profile pic, AND an avatar. That's the way it is in 3.1.x and I really don't see how taking that away is an improvement. Both serve different functions and this is really the only thing I dislike about the new software. Thanks for listening!

I didn't know where else to place this topic and I figured this was the best place for it. What I don't understand is that when IPB 3.1 was released, IPS took the stand to eliminate redundancy in the IPB forum software. Yet, here we are, and IPB 3.2 has built in redundancy in the forum software and I don't understand why this was necessary. In 3.1, we saw the elimination of the "top of page" icon removed from the individual posted topics and moved to a global position in the footer area of the forum code. In 3.2 we saw the removal of "avatars" from the forum because IPS saw no need for photos and avatars. Now, we're confronted with deliberate redundancy. Take a look …

I have a suggestion for CKEditor. Suggested this on the preview board but it never got much response and I'd like to bring it up again. I think it would be nice if CKEditor used <p> instead of <br/> for spacing between paragraphs. For those of you who don't code, this basically means that instead of hitting RETURN twice between paragraphs, you'd just hit it once. And instead of there being a blank line the size of the font, there would be a slightly smaller space—about 70% of a regular line's height—between paragraphs. To allow for people to still space "normally" (as it is currently), you could use SHIFT+ENTER, so no functionality is lost. Implementing…

In 3.2, can we have a button on the reply editor that allows us to switch between the rich text editor and the plain text editor? Screen shot of what you might see on most other softwares:

I have no idea where I'm supposed to post these questions.. and I have never really got a straight answer about things. I can't find the client area link anymore. I have no idea where and how to submit a ticket about problems. I can't access any of the free areas of the Marketplace and I DO have a license. I bought it on June 1st 2011. I went into my AP today to find a notice saying.. "Your license is invalid or expired please contact the support forum" but I've paid for a full month. Can someone please please help me with the problems I have been facing? I am getting so frustrated.. Thanks. Liz

Why doesn't the Preview Post button show the formatted post in an AJAX popup? This post form just doesn't feel finished. If an AJAX call is incapable of submit everything needed from the post form, then the skin should at least format the preview exactly the way it will show up in the actual topic (complete with the left side member avatar column and the post text formatted to the right).

I've been wondering about this for quite some time, and it is a feature I would love to see. Running an RPG based bored, there are often times where I find myself needing to delete multiple forums at once, dumping all of their posts into a mutual recycling bin. Currently, there is no way to "Mass Delete" forums. Is it possible? Is it viable? I'd like to see this feature, but I'm not sure how many people would actually use it.... -Nowe

Since we all known IPB will not under any circumstances add the features asked by a small group of customers back to IPB 3.2 I've come up with a solution that seems to be quiet fair for both parties. I think IPB should have a skilled member(s) who is/are willing to continue/make the hooks/apps that will add features to IPB such as the ones that where removed in 3.2. Perhaps making a new group for these members would be ideal. This way we know we can rely on these hooks because they will be kept up-to-date, will not have security issues, and that its creator will not just "disappear". In the case one of the members decide to leave you can always add new volunteers that …

I am not talking about forum guests but rsvp guests. I guess the simplest way would be to make people post in the event that they would bring guests...what do you guys think? John doe is a member he wants to rsvp for an event and invite two of his friends as guests who are not forums members. How would you go about adding +guests counter next to the rsvp when someone is rsvp'ed? I guess you would first need to rsvp then you would see a "add guests" button or link. I would like to know if you guys thought about adding that functionality and if not what would be the best method to add this functionality?

I noticed this on a site today and thought it would be really nice for gallery comments and extra comments for articles / pages (not so much forums) You can eiter vist the link or look at the attached image. http://www.buzzfeed....zelda-chess-set This is a plug in that allows you to use facebook as your commenting system. I believe implementing something like this would be every helpful to every community. Allowing friends of users to see your site and content from yourself and maybe in-turn, become a new member. Here is the FB page about it: http://developers.fa...lugins/comments

"Clean Cut" SKin is GREAT!!! Should be the DEFAULT skin for IPB 3.x! Everyone can check it out in the lower left of the board (can select it from the drop down). It is very clean and nice. It fits MUCH closer to the previous IPB 2.x and yet seamlessly integrates the new IPB features into it. I will wait until it is released to upgrade my IPB 2.3.6 boards. I was having a hell of a time making the new skin work and look anything like my old board. This new skin will do the job and require less tweaking to accomplish this. I hate having to make radical changes as it complicates future upgrades. This will solve this issue. I also want to point out than from a "user…

Messages such as "You Are Now Signed In" take waaaaaay too long to fade out. Just recommending shortening the delay!

Hi, I am posting this here as it relates to all the products. The one disappointment with 3.2 and associated products is the lack of 'local' RSS feed icons. The current system of one long pop-up (placed in the footer) does not work efficiently for the benefit of either the users or the admin. Here the list is taller than most screens and does not include many forums. If all the forums were added the list would be very long (200+ links on some sites once all apps and third party products are added together). I would like to see RSS feeds as follows... 1) A single page to replace the pop-up - this could then show all RSS feeds together 2) RSS feeds show against…

I have had some problems with this feature Tools & Settings > System Settings > Forums > Topics, Posts and Polls Automatically parse media URLs? If enabled, and a link is submitted without bbcode tags that matches your configured media tag URLs, the link will be treated as media instead of a regular hyperlink. When you have disabled it and you enable this, links won't be parsed to live media. After this you have to rebuild posts (it takes long time) or dropping the posts cache in your ACP: "System TAB > Tool & Settings > Cache Management > Cached Posts > Remove All" as teraßyte said. But this is missing in that setting. Lot …

I don't know if this has been said, but Kudo's IPS. I really like the new way in which Topics are removed from the board index. I use to use the Trash Can feature in 2.3.x and 3.x. With this update, that feature is removed, and I'm loving the new Moderator CP's way of keeping track of deleted topics. Way to go. I must, however, nitpick at a few certain things within the moderator CP and its settings though. 1) Default view is deleted Posts, so when you go into the Moderator CP and click on Deleted Content, the first thing that pops up is posts. That's all well and good, but could this be defaulted to show deleted Topics? If it's not an option in the ACP, is there a way …

I hate the Font, Size, and Font-Color dropdowns in the post editor. If users use them, they often result in very ugly posts (especially if your site has several skins that use different colors, etc.). What I'd suggest is that you add some pre-defined stylesheets like Word has (for 'Heading 1', 'Heading 2', 'Normal Paragraph', etc.). You could get inspiration as to good names for the stylesheets from looking at Word or other word processing app. Then, the skin designer could implement classes for each of these stylesheets (including a class to show the name of the stylesheet with) and the editor could replace the Font, Size, and Font-Color dropdowns with a single dro…

I sincerely enjoy the IPS products, but the documentation is nearly useless. I tend to upon way too many support tickets for simply questions that could easily be addressed in product documentation. Please consider taking your documentation seriously and make it more useful.

I'm getting annoyed at some of the bugs in the Tracker. It makes me almost want to not bother to post a bug when I find one in the beta. Please consider putting someone on fixing up the Tracker even if that slips out 3.2 by a day or two. I assume most of these quirks can be fixed quickly. Customers shouldn't really have to deal with a buggy Tracker. I realize that most of these bugs are just skin problems, but they are starting to get me a bit pissed when having to report an issue.

Hi, It would be useful to have a Signature option per usergroup that overides the global "NoFollow" option - to allow certain user groups to have their signatures "DoFollow" Is that possible?
