Have there been any updates regarding IPS Connect for 4.0? I haven't seen anything posted about it since this article back in January of 2014: http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/396671-40-ips-connect/#comment-2455958 Is it included in the Beta? Thanks, Griffin

If my memory does not mistake me, I remember that before the release of the first beta there was a discussion about a new feature of IPS 4 that was requested by users that was related to similar content block. Most users wanted similar content based on title, not on tags, as long as many users do not use tags or if they do, do it wrong. But now, testing beta 5, I have realized that similar content is based on tags only. Am I missing something?

I have alot of sub menus on my community and I want to remove the dropdown arrow from the menu I want to remove it from. It would be nice if this was an option in the menu creation

I suspect I'm being super stupid ... but I can't work out how to allow comments to be left on my blogs. I can't see any option under Community > Blogs > Settings and editing Community > Blogs > Blogs isn't helping. I thought it might be visible as permissions under Members > Groups but Blogs isn't one of the tabbed apps. So my blogs don't allow comments. I must have changed some setting somewhere. Can anybody shed any light on the mystery? Thanks!

I am using SSL with CloudFlare and it has started making only my IPB v4 websites CSS to not load. I have decided I want to disable SSL on this particular domain and wanted to know how to fix all of the links. I changed the site domain in the config file but when clicking on links and such it still tries to load the https url. Is there a way to disable SSL from IPB?

I bought a second license and I am currently setting up a new 4.0 site. While doing this over the last weeks I have been filing dozens of bug reports for IPS 4.0. Most of them have been marked “fixed”. However, when I install the newest update, I find, that quite a few persist on my site and it is getting more and more frustrating. My suspicion is: “fixed” is meant for a new IPS installations, but it doesn’t always mean that the upgrade routine is actually fixing the issues on my beta installation. Am I right or am I wrong? I don’t know how to go on with this. Reporting the issues again either gets ignored or will end up with “can’t reproduce/closed”. Sure, if the proble…

So this is primarily because I have been SPAMMED with follow alerts for people I follow because I occasionally like their content and want to check it out since I turned on the "Notify me of things I follow" setting. Thing is, people aren't like normal followed content as there isn't just one thing to follow. That being said (and I understand that this may have to wait for a future point version of IPB4) I would like to propose a feature/change to the people following procedure/workings. I think it would be more prudent if, when you follow someone there is either a list of "notify me when" instead of an all or nothing. Like with some people like @Michael I'd love to follo…

I've IPS4 Beta 5b. Every asked question appears in block "Questions with no best answer" and in "XX questions in this forum". This block is limited to 15 questions with no answer/no best answer and I can't even disable this Please, add the feature to disable this annoying and useless block because we have already an option to filter that unaswered questions. I have activated for the first time "Who's Browsing" widget on my forum v4. As i see, it's different then v3. Because it don't show how many guests read this topic, right? Maybe for you, this isn't important but i would like if we can change and see how many guests (and/or search engine bots also) read the topics, this will be possible?

So there seems to be many (myself included) having issues upgrading a test copy of their sites the - and the only instructions is to "fix your paths" which I have done several times but still the system fails to upgrade. Is it possible to have an advanced option in the UPGRADE system that will display all the paths from the source and target and allow you to modify it during the upgrade - so it can do whatever cache rebuilding that needs to happen so that the upgrade can actually proceed?

It could be pilot error, but I had some problems with templates after upgrading to Beta 6. I was in "Designers Mode" before the upgrade. After the upgrade, templates I had added where missing. They still existed in the Themes folder, but I had to copy then to the application's dev folder to fix the site. After the upgrade, the Admin CP said that Designer's Mode was off and if I try enable it now, it goes through the process, but the mode is still off (not enabled) after it finishes. I'm not sure how to get things back in sync. Edit: I see that someone else has mentioned this problem in the comments to a Bug Tracker report ([Beta 6] Designer Mode does not work). -- Roger

When I set Forums as default app it behaves as excepted: whether I type in my domain name, click the logo or the forum tab in the main menu, I always end up in the forums and the URL in the browser will show mydomain.com. This is not the case however when I set the suite to use pages as default app. Then I get two different results: The domain and the logo get me to mydomain.com and show my Pages page. When I click the menu link however, I get to mydomain.com/my-page-name. So I have two different urls with identical content. Not so good for search engines and the users. Is there a way around this?

Hello all, I've just installed the beta 6, and I can't login to my community. I've no error, but i'm redirected to the index with being logged. If i type a wrong password, I got an error (normal). I tried the "ajax" login and the login page too. I can login myself on the admin board. This is strange because I can't login to the invisionpower community, but if go to the client area, log me in and go back to the community, i'm now logged. Regards
