I have attempted to upgrade a COPY of my site since last October on each build and for the past several builds the upgrade process fails, every time. I have posted several times in the forums and tickets at the request of site staff to review the issue, providing credentials to the test sites so they can see for themselves what is the cause of the issues - I have zero confirmation that anyone actually looked at the site. I realize support is not available for beta but I am not trying to upgrade the site for use - its my attempt to make sure things work before a future public release is viable; and so that i can invite my volunteer moderators to kick the tires of the softw…

Hi, I've discovered on IPS 4 that members have to manually enable their status feed on their profile page. Is there a way to automatically activate it for all of them? Even after a new registration? Thanks,

Hi, I'm running Wampserver 2.4 on a Windows 7 PC. I am trying to set up a dev environment for myself, but it has been difficult. My current problem is the following: I managed to make a fresh install of beta 6 on Wampserver. Now the site displays a great red message right at the top that says "Your license key is missing. Please provide your license key". I can then go to the Admin CP and type in my license key, but it does not save. If I type it in and press 'Save', the browser seems to load for a short while, and then I get a brief confirmation popup that says 'Saved'. But then everything stays the same. If I refresh I still have the red message saying 'Your license key…

Quoted a user just now and discovered his quote took up the entire reply box on mobile skin. Very fiddly to get cursor to go below his quote so I could actually reply. Most days I tend to find a few issues with mobile (which I do post about, such as rich text editor not appearing in certain situations). I assume that thorough mobile testing is coming once the desktop bugs are squashed or is it done in parallel? Is the one where you insert an attachment (via + button) and then can't move cursor to type below still happening?

I am running IPB 3.4.7 on utf8_unicode_ci collation. During fresh Install I have realised that another collation named utf8mb4 was used unless we uncheck the option. What happens during an upgrade on a 3.4.7 having a collation of utf8_unicode_ci ? Is a conversion done ?

This is what I see in my background task after upgrading to 4.0 "Projectdaza" seems to be a spammer who registered on my site last month and who got banned (and probably removed). I can't find them in member search so how come their data is still in the database?

I have a forum which integrates with Minecraft a little bit meaning gathering info from databases and checking if its current or not like usernames and UUID's and if different the username will change. In 3.4.7 I am able to add a custom task (php file) and add it to the list to run at a specific rate. I am looking at the task area and have yet to find where I can add a task for this script to run. I would like to know if this is possible with 4.0 . Thanks

Which web hosts would you recommend for hosting Invision? Ideally I'd like one based in the UK. Am currently with Surpass and using Vbulletin but am looking to move over to IPS and would be very happy to leave Surpass behind in the process!

Hi, I would like some improvements to the profile fields. 1. In v3 we had more controls over the fields and who could edit it, I would like to have these options back. IPB 3 IPS4 I would like to have: Field can be edited by the member and private fields separated as I want the users to be able to see their values but not edit them. Also, I would like to change show publicly to something like, Groups that have access to this field, where you should be able to choose what groups can see what. 2. The options for a field should be translatable, In this case, Gender could be Male or Female, but in Swedish, it's "Man" or "Kvinna". This is really required for mul…
