Setting up on a live domain / server create a new database call it whatever you wish via PhpMyAdmin. Then via ftp go to the domain where you want to install your test board and create a test directory example testboard. Upload all the content of your IPS 4 beta into this new directory.... When this has completed go to the install http://example.com/testboard/install/ using your domain and subdomain.

Then follow the install instructions...

Good Luck!

1. Download and unzip IPB software
2. Assuming you use cpanel and know how to create a database - Click the MySQL Database icon and create a empty database with username and password. Save those 3 pieces of information, you will need them when going through the live installer. You can also use the MySQL Database wizard in some cpanels.
3. FTP your files into your server with a ftp client like filezilla
4. Go to the installer at
http://www.example.com/forumorwhateverfolderthisnameis/install
and walk through the process. It will ask you for your database username, database username password and your actual database name. After you've entered all the needed information the automatic installer will proceed and set your site up for you. Good luck
