I've been playing around with IPS4 since the second or third beta was released, it is an awesome product. It may still have some minor bugs but the overall experience compensate everything I've upgraded my live community 10hours ago, there were no issue in the process of upgrading or setting everything up. I didn't get any negative feedback from my members yet, everyone loves the upgrade, so do I I'm sure that you'll even top that with the next releases, no doubt. Right, i'm a little bit pissy at the IPS licensing system at the moment So here's the situation, if at any time you lose connectivity to the IPS Licensing server and your key goes awry it brings your whole website to its knees. The IPS Suite tries for 5 seconds (or precisely 5001 milliseconds) to connect to remoteservices.invisionpower.com, if it can't connect it then continues to processes the page. So you would think worst case scenario it creates a 5 second page delay, no. What actually happens from what I have observed is that once it decides you need to verify your license key it attempts to verify it on every page load. The busier your website, the more clicks…

I had no time to update regarding job priority ... my licence expired its ok but now i cannot download the software anymore what I have paid for! during my active licence period ips 3.48 & 4.061 was available- but now invisionpower give me not the bought software .. I have written client area tickets but 0% resolved ... Only the answer i must renew and pay again for something what i have already paid ! I do not request something for free ... just that what i have paid ... I just want to make the update to 3.48 for my live system and 4.061 for test system that is not ok !

Dear IPS developers and community, despite the quality of the IPS script no provided payment gateway allows cheap direct bank debit. In order to charge recurring subscriptions the direct bank debit is the easiest payment method, the most common one in Europe, the cheapest and the safest one too (european standard is "SEPA Direct Debit", "SDD"). The best SDD provider today seems to be Gocardless, but there are also SlimPay and Payzen. So, would it be possible for you to add the Gocardless gateway in IP_Nexus in a very near future IPS release? On the 'mobile' view of the new responsive design, you can't navigate to a specific page within a thread. This makes navigating large threads very difficult. If you happen to enter the thread at page 1 - which I'm commonly doing now that the topic link takes you to that page rather than the most recently read page* - you can only navigate to pages 2 and 3. There is no way for you to skip to the end of the thread. Similarly, if I wanted to get to e.g. page 10 of a 30 page thread, there is no way for me to get there other than to navigate through a page at a time. I setup a demo account last night for the first time to play with the IP.Board 4.0 Admin Control Panel. My initial impressions are that it's much cleaner and easier to navigate than before. Certainly there are fewer options, but I haven't gone through to take the time to figure out what's been removed, or changed. I did see several new options I like, though, and it looks to have great potential. I know I have been critical of IP.Board (including in the recent past), but I'm hopeful with this rewrite we'll see some great things down the road. I´m running a digital download site with lots of images. When a customer wants to buy one or few of the files Is It very small amount they have to pay. And when customer buy one file and paying with paypal. Paypal take all the money as fee, so my images are free with this solution. Paypal is the in one who getting paid. My suggestion is a setting to force download user to pay with credit in checkout.

Currently, it is pretty cumbersome at times to type on it. Some things go off the side of the screen and when text goes below the typepad area it does not consistently follow it. This means you'll be typing without actually seeing the words you are typing. This is actually happening right now as I type this. It it seems to be because the message box expands. The height should be fixed for mobile with scrolling. That should fix that issue.

Very welcome would be a RECIPROCAL IGNORE function - thus if you place someone on ignore, not only can you no longer see anything from them, BUT THEY CAN NO LONGER SEE ANYTHING FROM YOU - this would include any threads you start, and thus effectively would prevent them from posting in any of your threads, in the future. This also means NOT displaying the "here's something you ignored" message in threads. Granted, a comparative thread about the ignore feature is over 5 years old, and nothing even close to what was requested was ever implemented, so I'm not holding my breath on it coming from Invision. How about if someone developed a plugin that would implement that?

If someone has a test installation without any reference to the original website, okay. "With abdominal pain all right", even if it's just from 4.x to 4.x. But if someone uses a one to one copy for testing the upgrade from 3.x to IPS 4 before doing it with the original website there should be support in my opinion. I'm having to reedit a lot of files each upgrade. Custom.css is a great way to prevent this for general css styling but there are other edits that are commonly required. Just did a test warning for a few minutes so the warning will start and end on the same date but the user has no idea when on the date it would expire. I'm guessing this will mean more emails to the admin. Adding the time to the warning roadblock would be good IMO.

I have a home page which is simply called "Home" on the menu and I want to appear first, however, I want the other pages made with IP.Pages to appear further to the right, after Forums and Calendar. It doesn't seem like this is possible at the moment. Are there any plans to improve the customisation of the menu?

At the moment the Pages blocks can only be sorted by title, publish date, comments, last post, et cetera. I would like to be able to sort a block based on one of the custom fields in its database. Is there a way to do this now? It doesn't look like there's an option around the default settings. Is it possible to add this, if there's no way around doing it now?

When viewing the Downloads page, there are Highest Rated and Most Downloaded sliders/carousels. Please could you improve them by adding touch swipe support for mobile devices and tablets, and it's counter tuitive to look for the arrow left and right buttons. I think it would be a nice improvement if you could quickly swipe to view the next or previous downloads, featured content etc.

I think that it would be perfect if we could add custom fields by category of pictures, in the gallery section. For example, as my site is related to birds,I would like to add a custom field "Specie" that allow people to indicate the specie of the bird of the picture that they are uploading; the same could happen with many other things.

I created an administrator group. I set the administrator restrictions in "Staff". I added a member into the administrator group I just created. In "Security" the member shows as an Administrator. So how is it that on the forums this member cannot see the ModCP and doesn't have the moderator tools? In IPB4, is it now required that even members in Administrator groups have to have a secondary group as Moderators in order to moderate? Or maybe it's simple and I'm missing a setting?
