I must have the ability to create an album. I've requested this feature before, and now I have a good case where this function NEEDS to be put back in. I have images already uploaded in a wrong category, so I'd like to create an album in the right category as a placeholder. The current move function doesn't allow me to create an album before moving, so I'm stuck.

We are getting a lot of negative feedback regarding the gallery section of IP4 and it being exceptionally difficult to use. Here is the feedback from our users since we upgraded a week ago 'Images' should be a primary nav item within the profile - it's currently tucked away in 'my activity' and absolutely no one can find it. Would be good if this was also clearly marked when you click 'gallery' in the forum nav. This is feedback on my experience upgrading to 4.0. After upgrading, my apache is dying at least 5 times a day, causing all sites on the server to be unreachable. I never had this even once in the last 5 years. Forum has 2 million posts with 30,000 page views per day, which is not that much for a very powerful dedicated server with only a few other less active sites on it.

So my site is now running on IPB 4.0. The biggest flaw is that we are partially a market and there is no customer feedback system plugin available that is compatible with 4.x. Does anyone have any idea if anybody is developing one?

In 4.x there doesn't seem to be a current version number displayed to admins anywhere obvious (that I can see), when logging in to the AdminCP dashboard I'd like to see current version information right on the main page. With more frequent releases (which are great!) it's hard to keep track of what version I've already upgraded to.

currently this is how things look when you are in a topic and you might want to reply to it. click it and add your reply, sure no problem if it opens fully for you. this should be open by default like the fast reply used to be. now sometimes the box does not fully open at all this happens. this is so annoying, I want to reply to the topic and now can't because there is no place to enter any text and you cant see anything you might type, if the box was just open by default then this issue would go away. now I have another part related to this as well, in 3.4.x you could reply to the topic all you wanted and the page would stay on the last page that loaded, n…

As admins we can set where content is pulled from. Unless it's already there and I haven't found it yet, I'd like a way for users to define which content they would like to pull from custom blocks we create. For example, I create a custom sideblock which pulls content from the forums, and allow users to customize which forums they want content from. Is that a possibility now or in a future release?

For Admins and Members currently posting and spending time trying to compose forum articles using IPS4 via an iPad, the user experience is sadly often, well, often agonising. Reading content works well enough, but when you come to try an compose content, the wheel well and truly comes off. I understand that issues with the text editor such as capitalisation or rather the lack of it when starting a new line of text have been put firmly down as waiting to be fixed by CKEditor, but something really needs to be done about it! After updating to version 4.0 in some forums I do not see the last posted topics as guest (as logged is ok) but as clicking a forum it shows the permissions are ok.

The error message is misleading when attempting to view a database entry when viewing permissions are disabled for guest user group (I did not try with a user group that is logged in without viewing permissions). It also generates an error code depsite the fact that the item exists when the user should be notified with an access denied message. This results in an email being sent and an error being stored in the logs. The title of the page displays: The content of the body displays: The error message should say “access denied” or similar rather than saying the content does not exist as this is misleading and does not prompt the user to log-in or register.

This is a copy suggestion! When I get this kind of notification, I get confused. "MemberX liked a post in a topic" I think it should be: "MemberX liked your post in a topic" Otherwise it seems that the member just liked something that has nothing to do with me.

Problem with high dpi. For normal display raster emoticons, needed to upload their large size and reduce it by using css. But no style in code after adding emoticons in editor. It's based on this bug report: https://community.invisionpower.com/4bugtrack/409-customcss-does-not-affect-the-admincp-anymore-r6779/ Apparently since 4.0.9, the custom.css file doesn't affect the AdminCP anymore, thus the only way to change something in the AdminCP, such as the background-color of the header, is to modify the default template/CSS files or make a new theme. This makes it so much more complicated than it had to be. Besides, I am not wanting to touch any files besides custom.css to avoid having to update modified files in the future. Please let us target the AdminCP through the custom.css file agai…

I remember lots of talk about the Best Answer / Questions forum. I'm thinking of setting up a sub forum with the Questions/stackoverflow style. I can't remember if the old release plan said that this feature was likely to stay? I don't want to implement it and then be in a bad place in a few months if its changed drastically. I understand that it's not possible to switch to a different editor at the moment, but I have to bring up the biggest (in my opinion) advantage of Redactor over Ckeditor. When you post a link to a photo or video in Redactor, it embeds immediately, so fast that you don't even see the link. In Ckeditor, however, you need to hit Enter for the link to turn into embedded content, and even if you do, it doesn't work half of the time and users are confused as to whether they need to wait for another minutre, or hit Enter until it finally embeds, or reload the page. 1) I'd like to see a setting to disable birthdays globally please. Maybe I missed a setting but if I didn't, I'm surprised there isn't a setting for it already. 2) Make it so that users have to type their birthdays/years themselves. No dropdown boxes.

I notice that the permission settings only allow you to choose whether the group can see all records or none at all. There really should be an option for "View other's records" as sometimes users might have to share information that others shouldn't see. Am I missing something here?

Hi guys, There is a quirk when using the mobile breakpoints on at the very least iOS devices, possibly others too. When you touch the editor to begin writing, the web browser will zoom in to more closely surround the editor. When the user has finished or abandons their post, the view doesn't go back to normal when they exit the editing area — the web browser is still zoomed in. The user then has to zoom back out manually, which is a bit of a pain. This is actually a very easy fix via CSS in most cases.
