Just had an idea since a few of my members are sometimes complaining about site being slow and sluggish. This turns out to be due to our backups on our server. A global recurring message could be a block or have other designated places to show, but to be able to set time and day/date when this message shows would be nice. Could be used for weekly reminders of meetings or monthly reminders of something else. Just an idea for you guys who make plugins...

It would be nice to have categories be hidden on the front end so that if I'm getting stuff read but don't want to show stuff in that category that is stays hidden till I'm ready to show it. Currently, I make a category it shows up but I can hide the products to it. I think I should be able to show the items but hide the category if at all possible as well.

Quality of Life Improvement - QoLI It would be nice to allow users to change pages and folders by a drop and drag like many other things in the IPB system. Current this can't be done and make things a little harder.

If you give one of the the following authentication into your ips forum it would be nice to have an option for users who are authenticated to be automatically created accounts when they sign in. You don't have to enabled open registrations just click the check box to allow SSO registrations.

Well i've been with you almost a year i believe. I used to run a few sites on mybb forums and i closed them because they just....well it was time to close that chapter. But one of those sites i continued. And i brought it to ips on the suggestion from a friend who has modded a few forums that run the 3.x version of ips. I did not see the point of getting that version because 4.0 had just came out so i went with it. And understood things were going to be buggy as ****! Hi, at the moment we can only search for PM text but not for usernames. For example: I have hundreds of PMs and I know I got a PM from a specific person and I want to search for it now. NO CHANCE! I have to go through all PMs one by one to (maybe) find the right PM. Could you please add also an user filter in PM search? I would really appreciate.

I honestly don't know how hard this would be to implement but it would be nice to have a more refined set of search criteria for the activity streams. I will make a list of the possible changes to the activity stream that I think would be helpful (specifically for staff members but I think members could use this too). Ability to search specific types of content items. By this I mean not just Content items or Everything I think that Content Items (which I believe are like topics, graphics, articles, database items etc) comments (which I assume are posts, and comments) and reviews (which is just the reviews tab) should be individualized. At the moment, the IP is shown on forum posts, but nowhere else. It can be really useful to have IPs on PMs if a member is spamming other members with PMs (but no forum posts), and also to verify that a request from a member is really from them and not someone who has accessed their account (yes, it's not perfect, but it's better than nothing). I'm hoping that this is just an oversight and not an intentional change.

I experienced that my dev area suddenly died. No matter what I did there was no chance I could get PHP to print any error messages. So after one hour I had an idea that led me to finding out what it was caused by. I started to comment out entries in plugins/hooks.php as I saw it had been modified at the time I started having problems. Eventually I got my dev setup to respond again, at least on certain pages. There is no option to mark the product as Fos sale Not for sale Reserved Sold So, if the product is for sale, the price is shown near the image. Otherwise - not. Add to card should be available only in case the product is "For sale".

Please, add ability to hidden sidebar in homepage (pages) articles, but maintain in single article views! - I've fix with "hide" via jquery. Now is display: none in home, appear again in single article (but setting is best than jquery fix). Thanks to this my homepage contain only article list and, imho, is best. Also, in single article isn't present "how many time article is read". I can show this only inside category list view :/ kind regards, S.N.

Hello, Since yesterday, the Gfycat lauched a new oEmbed Endpoint that resolves the 2 major issues the old one was having. Not support https and it was downloading both webm and gif. Just a quick suggestion to add a "More" functionality (similar to the way the primary and secondary navs work) in the account Settings tabs. I find a lot of apps have taken to putting tabs into the account settings (mostly login integration) and the tabs are starting to overlap. If I get one more then It won't be pretty (already a little squishy).

User leaves conversation (possibly by mistake), wants to rejoin, there is currently no way to. Especially useful for large group messages. Also useful if message starter removes a user and then wants to add back. Can even happen by mistake, wrong user, etc. This should do it but it doesn't once they've left:

Hello Community, With all due respect to the developers, I am not finding the Location field on the profile very useful. It's not a real location field. it's just a basic text field with a label that says "location" As a result input is highly inconsistent. For example I live in California but I could input "CA", "Cali", "Calif", "California", "nor cal", "San Francisco" or even "Lindy for president" Due to the highly inconsistent nature of the field, any use of this field is deeply compromised. I really appreciate the hard work that IPS are doing to transition through the gears with frequent releases. However, the changes to the navigation structure have not been very well thought through and like a lot of the IPS updates, the UX and design is very much a desktop first approach as opposed to mobile. It's beginning to look very dated already. With over 50% of traffic on mobile, it really needs to be the other way round. Nowadays, it's all about simplification rather than adding every bell and whistle under the sun and making the system so complicated that it turns off our community - that is real feedback from our live forum. Hi all I have just connected our community (v 4.1.3.2) with facebook. Now I'm able to register a new user using my facebook account. But why do I have do enter my e-mail address when I register by facebook. Isn't it possible to use the e-mail address deposited in my facebook profile? Thx Marc
