So looking to do a bit of customized HTML/CSS to the basic theme for now & I'm a little rusty. Plus I'm totally new to the hierarchy of IP software directories, so I may be searching for a while for a particular file to edit. How would I add an image as the headers background? And where should I create the image folder inside of my directory? Or is there already one I should/could be using thats part of the IP software file? Thanks for the help.

If you register via FB, IPB automaticly imports users cover image and profile image. How do i remove that automation? I get lots of "OMG, i dont wanna use my fb-images" messages.

After updating to 4.0.8, the little block with an arrow that appears on the left hand side of the page has disappeared, is it just me or did it disappear for anyone else? If you're not following, it's that little block that when clicked slides out a side menu that allows sidebars etc. to be added to the page. Yes I'm logged in as the Administrator.

Just a quick question, maybe one of you guys know how or what they're using. But my question is how does IPB have the + in front of their user group clients? Are they using a primary and secondary group feature? If soo which one would be the primary and which one would be the secondary? Or ?

I have a converted field with many images of a record from a database of Pages. The field is "Uploads" type and contains the location to many images. In the default record display (no formatting), only the location is displayed. Is there a custom code to display the images using a "image carousel" built in IPS 4?

On Pages, the database field type Upload allow us to choose multiple uploads. On Custom Profile Fields, the type Upload does not load the ajax options to choose multiple uploads and upload any files. Can I set this options that are not loaded directly in the database?

Hi Just seeing if anyone has had the same issue. Since we upgraded to IP4 (which we really like except for this bug) we have run into a really strange issue, where members are struggling to login. It appears that if they try and use their email address, it doesn't work, but with their 'display name', it does work. When they use their email address, it always says that the password is incorrect. We are also then getting a lot of users who are getting automatically locked out of their account. Has this happened to anyone else? Many thanks, Si

Hi, Within the topic page, I want to show the number of views a topic has had. In v3 I used this code " ({parse format_number="$topic['views']"} views)". Is there something similar I can use in 4.0 to show the topic views?

I have a working test install of v4.0.7. However, after following the instructions here and restarting apache: However, from looking at the Plugins screen it appears the application is not in developer mode. (It just says Install new plugin) There are no errors in the logs. More detail: I have constants.php under admin/install with: define ('IN_DEV', TRUE); And I installed the files from the zip over the existing install in applications and dev respectively in the IPS folder: http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/7185-developer-tools/

Hello, I've experienced similiar bug to plenty of 3.4->4.0 upgraders - missing css. After checking the browser console, turned out my css were loading up with double urls: http://forum.minecraft.pl/http://forum.minecraft.pl/uploads/javascript_global/root_framework.js.84f5b337dssad4dd828ed8bd72556cae.js?v=91acb12471 Any way to remove that additional url, even through mod_rewrite / .htaccess? I really need it working till tommorow, and since my bug was in the beginning not critical (it was like that while using constats.php, removing this file fixed the issue), after contacting support and following the steps my forum broke down completely.

4.0.8.1 I've got some old photos and in some cases I'd like to have the image of the back side included in the description field. So I open the image (Manage → Edit details) and add the second image as an attachment, and insert it into the description field. Excellent! Move on to next image, any image. Edit that image and there's the attachment from the previous image. Delete the attachment, save the image, and there it is, still in the description! Reopen the image, delete it again, save again, and it's back again. I'm afraid to edit any more images because I don't want an irrelevant extra image in every single description. Bug or am I trying to do something …

Hi, When logged out and wanting to test facebook log in, sometimes I get this page, other times I don't and can sign in with facebook. My customer getting this error when trying withdrawal their account credit: 1X200/1 We're sorry, but your PayPal account isn't currently eligible to send mass payments. Please contact either PayPal Customer Service or your account manager. All API info from paypal is ok in right fields.

I wonder why Donwloads changes the size from my screenshot. Example 1080x600 pixels original size Downloads change the size to 1222x675 all images looks blur and not sharp in big screens. I want the original image size in screenshot sharp as they are!!!

I upgraded to IPB 4.0. Previously I had imported from vbulletin to IPB 3.0, so I was using the showthread.php gateway script. After the upgrade if you go to the old showthread.php urls it gives this message: Invalid IPB path Anyway to fix it so it will continue forwarding the old URLs to the new URLs?

My site is set for me to manually approve new member registrations. I have several required profile fields that need to be completed, a security question and reCaptcha. When someone registers I am notified and I as admin I go to Validating members and approve the registration. Several times, however, I am notified that there is a member awaiting approval but I find that they are not in the Validation queue but rather they are already approved. Additionally, several of the required profile fields are blank. Does anyone have a clue how the normal registration process is being de-railed?

Today we had a guest posting on site and I received an email advising me of such. However when logging on and visiting the site there was nothing showing under New Content and nothing indicating a post required approval. The only way of finding the post to approve it was to use the link in the email. If there any way to give greater visibility to posts which require moderation? The other question is who are such emails sent to? Is it only myself as site Administrator or does it include the other staff members?

Hello. I've been using IP.Board 4.0.8 for almost 3 days now and everything works fine, but I cannot seem to modify, delete or add any usergroup. The database is an upgraded 3.4.8 but I suspect this should not be an issue. Anything else still works; I can modify users, they can register..
