With our version 4.0.8 we could manage blocks via the slide right arrow option per page. After our version step up we are now getting an "error" when we drag a block over to insert into a page. When I attempt to drop a block in, the "error" pops in where the block should reside. Has anyone else experience this issue with v 4.0.9?

Has the different themes based on browser agent been removed in 4.0? I'm guessing it probably was since the default theme is now responsive, but just want to make sure, as I suddenly had another use for that feature but cant find it.

I was a major user of Ip.Content in the past. I did perform the upgrade to V.4 this weekend and though there are some things to get used to, I am beginning to see the possibilities for the future. Here are a few things I did in the past with Ip.content and the use of hooks and blocks that I would love to get back into a functioning state. I thought somewhere there was a post about what should be in the documentation, well, I think these functions explained would be a great way to get people that are less familiar with "code use" back into a productive role with this new software. It's been brought up a few times in my community, the quoted posts that include photos and videos, is there a way to not include them or maybe we need an option at the quote time like (quote without media?) sometimes a thread can be over powered by seeing a lot of the same image over and over.

I'm currently converting as much of IP.Board 3.4.7 to my own custom forum software as possible. However, IP.Board stores its passwords as MD5, which are stored in another layer of MD5 (according to the docs). My software stores passwords as SHA-256. Both use salt with the same hashing method as they hash their passwords. Is there a way to convert IP.Board passwords to SHA-256 passwords? I tried doing so through MySQL, but that command doesn't work (requires a library, I'm afraid of modifying such important services on a production server). And why did this get deleted? Some kind of propaganda?

Hi I have just converted an existing board to IPB4 Now i have to set the forum permissions in order to make them visibles to guests/ members etc How can i set permissions to one forum and then copy those permissions to all other forums ? As we have +200 subforums i would'nt like to set the permissions for every one of them I found how to copy the forum settings to all other forums, but how to copy the permissions ? How can you connect to external database using Mysqli or PDO with current application setup? I've tried a lot of things and with both I get errors respectively "mysqli_connect(): Headers and client library minor version mismatch. Headers:50541 Library:50624" for mysqli and namespace errors for PDO. I couldn't find anything which would help me in the code itself. Your documentation is kind of lacking in case of writing applications.

So when nexus (commerce) tries to send an email it affixes a comma at the end. like 'john.doe@example.com, ' ; so i get an error saying its not a real email. but test send works fine.

If i upload 980x120banner, its shows only desktop. There are option to upload smaller versions for tablets and mobile. What are max-width size for those banners? Btw, why we dont use img {max-width:100%} for these banners, so you could use same banner for every device?

I having an urgent problem that cause inconveniences for my forum users. When I share the topic URL on facebook, it changes from http://www.momozaza.com/index.php?/topic/19-first-aeon-mall-in-east-malaysia/ to http://www.momozaza.com/index.php?%2Ftopic%2F19-first-aeon-mall-in-east-malaysia%2F. The problem is, whenever a guest click the link, it redirect to my forum homepage instead of the targeted topic.Another issues is that my forum is not showing up in google searches!

I would need to convert blogs from vb 4.2 to 4.0.8.1. I get this answer from support: "To clarify you can still convert your blogs yourself the same as you converted your board before for free. Just make sure you have vB set as your parent conversion. You may want to try it on a test installation on your server. " How i can do that? Should i first convert to 3.4 and then to 4.0.8? And then move database shells.

So I still have old links ( previous forums url ) stored in old posts the every so often people will complain the link doesn't work. Is there any way to use the friendly URL to redirect these to new post - using the convert tables? and not have to maintain the old php scripts showpost.php Ideally - (probably too late for me ) but it would be nice to have a way to convert old urls stored internally in the post table to the converted path.

Two issues: 1. I have a forum with 2 subforums. I am trying to edit the permissions for the whole forum and am getting an error saying that only categories can have no parent under Parent Forum. I have tried ticking and unticking the No Parent choice. It is the parent forum so I am confused as to why it's even saying No Parent is not an option. 2, In the subforums, for some reason only an Admin can post. Moderators, even one specific to this forum and subforum and members do not have a reply box to the existing thread. Thanks for any help!! I need the moderator to be able to post in an existing thread as well as members.
