I'm hoping to assign badges to specific posts. I've set up a few with custom icons. These two badges are to be manually assigned to posts by admin only and will indicate if we endorse the post. For example: "Supported by research" or "Endorsed by LTA". Assigning badges works well, but for some reason the icons related to the badges don't display with the post. Here's an example of what is displayed. The icon assigned to the 'Endorsed by LTA' badge looks like this, but is nowhere to be seen on the post. Anyone know if there's a way to ensure this icon is displayed with the post the badge is awarded to?

Updates all done. Prior to that I could just go on and make and event and it would pop up on the home page of our group. This time is the first time I have tried it in some months and now it isn't working. Any ideas?

When trying to view a certain forum on my community in "expanded view", the result is an empty white page with an HTTP 500 response code. Hello, in the last couple of days we deleted a lot of old and hidden posts/topics. The list of deleted content in modcp is 200 pages long. 😉 We set the permanent deletion period to 1 day. Due to the fact that the "delete content" task runs only once a day and everytime it deletes only approximately 1 page of deleted posts it would theoretically need 200 days to delete all 200 pages. 😉 Is it possible to run the deletion task more often a day automatically? (I know that I can start it manually as often as I want) Another solution would be to use modcp to permanently delete the content, but this would also take a very long time, since only a few page…

Hi, We have activated the management of connected devices and in some cases the location of the IP that shows the user is wrong. This information causes discomfort because it is not a close location of the user. For example: IP- 88.5.20.198 The IPBoard IP Tool show "Barcelona, Catalunya" and the right location is Zaragoza (another autonomous community) The user don't connect via VPN. I check this IP in other IP tool https://www.cual-es-mi-ip.net/geolocalizar-ip-mapa and show the right location Is there any solution? Can the IP lookup tool be changed? Thanks, Toni

Hi, We've had issues with Authy SMS 2FA not working on our community. I reached out to Authy and they have advised that it has been discontinued and they have changed the product for SMS 2FA to 'Verify'. They shared an article on how to migrate. I had a ticket to remove the Classifieds addon as after I upgraded to the 4.7.8 version of IPS IPS prevented me from uninstalling the addon. @Daniel Fatkic removed the Classifieds addon from my site to which he sent me an email saying so. We recently underwent pen testing and our forums got flagged because EXIF geolocation data is not getting stripped from uploaded images. Is there a way to mitigate this? Steps to Reproduce: Visit any topic and click the reply. Upload an image with EXIF Geolocation data, such as the attached sample image, in the reply box Now download the image. Use windows properties tool or any EXIF viewer such as exifdata.com, and check the metadata. Whatever was there when uploaded should be there when downloaded. All topics are read yet the icon says there are unread topics. I have noticed this previously but didn't give it much thought until it began happening again of late. It is the only sub that does this on this site so I don't believe it to be a browser issue. Just musing here but, could be hidden threads causing the issue?

Updated to iOS 16.4. Enabled push notifications in Invision Community web app. Received a notification about a new topic in a forum I follow. Tapped on the iOS notification on the lock screen on my iPhone. This opened the PWA but didn’t redirect to the new topic like tapping on the notification in the notifications list. The last page I had viewed before was still being shown. Is this a bug?

Strange issue… self-hosted v4.7.9. Small forum and had (have) a strange issue. When mods or users edit the first post in a topic, when they save it, that first post gets moved to the bottom of the thread, almost as if it were a new post in the thread. I updated from 4.7 to 4.7.9 yesterday and in testing, it hasn’t happened again so maybe the upgrade fixed something. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Secondly, assuming my issue is resolved (I hope), how could I “fix” the existing ones? How could I correct these topics and restore the original first post to its proper place as the actual first post? Thanks for reading.

We are currently running IC 4.7.0 and PHP 7.4. We've been trying to update to PHP 8.0 and the latest IC version for a while, but we always run into the same problem. As soon as we enable PHP 8.0 with our hosting provider, the forum and more crucially the Admin CP are no longer visible, so we can't update the forum software. How do we solve this "chicken & egg" conundrum?

We have a locked task (updaterecords) apparently due to an issue with the Pages application. We stopped using Pages quite some time ago, it shows as version 4.1.15 under the list of installed applications. Unfortunately, it shows as locked and will not let me uninstall it: Selecting Uninstall from the dropdown menu causes the admin panel to render a blank screen. Perhaps it's safe to leave the old version partially installed (I don't see a directory for pages under /applications) and this task locked, but I'd rather clear up the error if possible. Has anyone else encountered this and know of a remedy?

In Pages, if one adds a WYSIWYG block with a picture, right or left alignment is used, and the picture is taller than the text, the picture breaks out of its block into the block below. Using picture alignment also breaks the formatting of other blocks blow it if the picture is too large. In the picture below, "My Articles" and the first article should be aligned directly under my picture. Reducing the size of the picture to the same height as the text fixes things.

I recently closed a member's account who had sadly passed a number of years ago retaining the users content. He was a prolific poster with lots of information. I realise this was actually not the best plan as now no one can search for the content using his name as the name is now Guest preceding the old user name. I take this action is now irreversible. I have installed a plugin which allows me to manually change the user posts and have created an account to attribute to him, but there are thousands of posts and this would be a never ending process. Any solutions I am missing would be appreciated.

Hello, @Your Synergy has a problem with one of my apps. The app does not seem to have installed itself correctly. The problem is that there is no way to uninstall it (error 500). Since I don't have access to the DB / Files even if I wanted to, I really wouldn't know how to help him. Something must have gone wrong with the update process that the customer did in January. Can I add an ips boy in the private message I have with synergy?
