I am in the process of converting from 3.4.5 to 4.1.X and I have to rebuild my content and blocks because things don't look right. I have a custom block that displays a random fact (quote if you will) that uses a line of PHP. I tried all of my options when creating the block and paid attention to any notations about using php. I can't get it to display the random fact. For some reason, the word filter appears to be case-sensitive, which means I'd need to add every permutation of capitalizations for each of the phrases I want to flag for mod review. Is this something I can change somewhere in the core code?

So I did a ticket because I got a call from one my Admins saying the site (Tennesseeanglers.com) was down and showing as a threat. Members are frustrated. So it seemed I needed to go SSL. I did that and have it set up now. But it's still not working right and showing as a threat. I did a ticket (#975167) and they said I need to upgrade. Wonderful. I have a nice theme an some great modifications. The images are messed up. Is there anybody here with a good rep that can help me out? If so, send me a PM and a number. I know it's possible to embed the content of a block externally. How about the content of a download feed? My reason for asking is that we have several very, very small local versions of ourselves. They're too small to justify our paying for several licenses, often having just one member. I know I could build them specific pages within my site but the challenge is that some of these have existed for over 100 years and will want to have their own address rather than be accessible as a sub-directory of our main site. I haven't setup a 4.0 testing site yet and wanted to find out if site-wide SSL was going to be an option 4.0. Right now, using 3.4.6, I have a redirect in my .htaccess file to make sure that everyone is redirected to https when they come to my forum. There was a thread on the forum which outlined how to setup full SSL using the .htaccess file. I know there is an option to use SSL when signing up, etc. in 3.4.x Does anyone know if full SSL is an option in 4.0? If not, I hope IPS adds this feature.

I have a few PHP pages that were working fine in 3.4.x. They were very simple and just gave me a quick way to find records in my IP Content Databases that were missing data. Now in 4.1.x they throw this error.... Hello, we wanted to upgrade from 3.4 to 4.X but we noticed yet, the old developer API got dismissed totally atleast from the docs. Is the old developer api still around / a thing in 4.X or do we need to rewrite all of our custom plugins? Best Regards

Hello, Now that I check Google Analytics for my site more than in the past, and because Google hasn't given keyword information on their basic GA setup for years now, I was wondering if someone out there might be able to give me some help as to how to get that information? I do have GA enabled in my site files, but I've looked online at site after site and the information is either outdated or incomprehensible. Apparently there are ways to get this information, but every time I follow the directions I run into an impasse and can't configure service X in order to continue. Hi, how can I sell a non physical item? I have graphics etc. that have watermarks but once a User buys them, he should be able to download them in full size without a watermark. Where would I upload the file he can then download so I don't have to manually do these things? Thanks

A bunch of the docs seem to 404 or some are randomly outdated; how difficult would it be to create two user profile fields that need to be validated against a third-party server, and approve/decline/add to usergroup based on the response? Or should I just use the REST API and have users use my own signup page instead of the native one?

I enabled security questions for Admins and Mods… and I'm having trouble seeing the point. All of us have set three questions/answers, but we keep getting the same question each nd every time we log in. It's not even random. And the answer isn't obscured at all. So how much is this really doing? Why doesn't the question alternate randomly?

I am doing test migrations from 3.4 to 4.x and for some reason search is not working. By not working I mean not working at all, showing 0 results for keywords that should bring hundreds. Can someone point me to some steps to troubleshoot the issue? Maybe try to replicate the search query directly in the database? I guess part of the problem is that I am using cyrillic and my 3.4 database was converted form latin1 to utf8. Not sure if this is a contributing factor. But any advice will be appreciated. During the migration from 3.4 to 4.1 I switched from mysql to mariadb if that is of any significance.
