Weirdly, this error cropped up today 'Your IP address does not match this session'. I have deleted my browsers files, cache, cookies - the lot. No difference, I have tried alternative browsers on my laptop and I have the same issue. So I tried logging in via my mobile and I managed to get in (this is on the same internet connection as my laptop). I've restarted my machine and I'm still unable to bypass the annoying message. In the end I enabled 'Trust IP addresses provided by proxies?' via my mobile and I was able to proceed, however I am a little unsure if this is actually safe to do. Hello, I've changed the category names and URLs for a lot of articles, and now have lots of internal links pointed to the wrong URL. I've done a 301 Redirect, but would like to change all of the URLs in the forum_post table of the database. My forums are down as I am trying to upgrade from 4.1.15 to 4.1.18.1 and it asks for my license key. I copy it from the client area and paste it in and it says invalid license key. Any ideas?

Hello all, after adding some custom profile fields I received a database error and now the title of my "about me" field is "core_pfieldgroups_0". I tried to create another field with the name but it does not work. So I moved to phpmyadmin and searched for "core_pfieldgroups_0" and found 4 positions. I did not delete them because I don't want to make things worse. Do you have any idead how I can fix that? I tried to search the forum and asked uncle google but could not find any solutions. Thanks! Currently I have google adsense on my board, I disabled for my profile (for the life of me, can't remember where that setting is at), but I want to enable that setting to a group if they donate to my site. Is this possible with stock board or is that only possible with a donation mod? My goal is trying to reward members that donate to our site, I don't mind manually moving a member that donates, but would love to find a setting to automatically move a user (and move back after "x" amount of time). I am looking at this mod: However the price is a little steep for my little board.

Since upgrading to 4.17.1 (and enabling the Pinterest share) I am now seeing Guests show up as new members. Note that I have only the Sign In With Facebook activated (no others) and it was working fine earlier. Now, since upgrading I have seen at least three of these Guest members show up. I deleted the first one, but here's two more that just popped up. I think they're coming from Facebook where I shared a couple things earlier today, but I'm not sure... Any ideas on how to prevent this?

I added a similar content block and it finds similar Pages articles but I'm not sure how it decides what is similar. It doesn't include articles which share the same tags so it must use something else to determine the similarity?

This seems to be the strangest thing. If I go to Edit Profile on my own account, I can only fill in an About Me section. No Signature area even shows up. If I go to Edit Profile on another forum member, I can edit their About Me and also their Signature. Anyone have any idea about this??

Greetings. I'd like to hide the date of the 1st post of the topic from a few forums if possible. If it needs to be for all forums, then it's ok. The point is to hide how old a topic is, specially when there are no answers. This doesn't mean there is not date, only that it is not visible. I wonder if there is a way to do that, even if I have to modify manually the template somehow. Thanks

I have Steam, Twitch and Facebook login handlers active. All three were working for me before the latest update. Now when you try to login or sign up you get returned to a "The page you requested does not exist" that is with any of the three, all return the same error. Site: https://www.swgaming.com Any incite/help will be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what to do now. I made sure all CHMOD perms were correct and even re-uploaded the files for Twitch and Steam to no avail.

Hi am starting to offer downloads for sale. The content is rather large video files and it's quickly chewing through the space on my web server. Is there a way to MOVE just the downloads data files? (separate from forum attachments) Can I move them after people are already using it? Can I move it back? Can I setup a NAS and have only the downloads load from the NAS I don't care if the downloads file transfers are slow because it's rarely used compared to the rest of the site. Also I need to have the large storage capacity a NAS can provide. Suggestions.. ideas?

For some reason, when new members sign up to my website and buy access to a recurring membership the membership automatically expires after only one day (renewals of the memberships are set to occur every day). why is that? When I go to each member though the administration panel there is a check box under 'purchase settings' that says 'does not expire'. It is currently un checked for each member. How do I activate that option automatically? thanks for your help

The pricing on IPB cloud is tied to the number of simultaneous users online. I'm on a very tight budget for what is essentially a vanity project. So I would like to cap the number of users at my maximum so I don't ever get charged for having too many simultaneous users. Is there a code to block new users and guests for accessing site when you reach a certain number? Thanks

I am running 4.1.17 and I can see RSS feed creation feature in IPB Admin Panel. I tried to create a new RSS feed for the topics of my forum. 1) The problem is it displays the RSS feed sorted by Topic Posted Date, but I need it to display based on latest reply date. 2) Max number of RSS items possible is 100. But I need 150 items. Can you please tell me where to edit and get these done ? I am open to editing of source code files. Thank You !

I've been following this thread In order to set up our homepage to show a stream of activity. It defaults to 'All Activity' which in the stream settings has 4 or 5 options to refine. However, we'd like to select the default homepage "All Activity" stream to show a customized stream instead. Inside the Streams options you can finely tweak and dial your own custom streams. Does anyone know if it's possible to use one of those custom streams in place of the "All Activity" default that one gets when select 'content discovery' as your default application module?

Hallo, while uploading a pdf-file in a post I got an error message There was a problem processing the uploaded file. Please contact us for assistance. It make no difference if i save to database or filesystem. The pdf is small. 557kb I enlarged the attachment size to 50mb and every thing was fine. But after the update IPS and php we can attach no more attachments. Need help. Thanks Olaf
