I'm hoping to go live with my site tomorrow and I've just noticed a pretty big problem: people won't be able to log in. The root of my site is a Pages page, just like IPS has here. It has a customWrapper rather than the default template because, like with IPS's front page, I want to have coloured sections spanning side to side. My customWrapper is identical to the globalTemplate, except that I have removed the div ipsLayout_mainArea. That's the container within which everything else on the page sits. Hello ! I've installed Link addon from CKEditor website because I would like to use anchor but I have two issue. First, I can't disable the default popin when i double click on a link Second, if i create an anchor with the new addon when I submit the post, the ID is removed from the <a>. Someone tried to install this addon ? Any idea ?

Just updated to 4.1.19.3 yesterday. One of my users was having issues posting in a forum so I thought it would help. Didn't. In fact, I'm getting a 403 error (others are seeing the same issue, others are not): Forbidden You don't have permission to access /forums/index.php on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Ideas?

I have the following scenario: Hosting two v4.1.19.4 boards on the same VM (I additionally control the host): Board 1: 2,119,338 posts, 22,029 members, but average online members would only be 50-100. Converted from vBulletin ~2 years ago. Running Nexus/Commerce. Board 2: 186,565 posts, 254 members, average online members 10. Converted from phpBB2 ~3-4 years ago. Not running Nexus/Commerce. I'm hoping someone can help me. I can't log in to my AdminCP to approve new members etc without being on my MacBook Pro. Normally this isn't a problem but my concern is that if something happened to my device then I'm in trouble when it comes to accessing the forum. Also, when travelling I always have to take this with me when all I really want to take is my iPad. I've tried logging in from my phone and also my wife's computer and still no luck. I just keep getting the log in screen whenever I input my username and password correctly. Is there a way I can fix this?

Unsure how to specifically word this, but is there a specific permission somewhere that I need to toggle to make it so my moderators cannot modify the widgets in the sidebar? I cannot find anything relating to it in the Admin CP, but my moderators can view the little arrow on the left to add new blocks and modify existing ones, and I would like to prevent this. Edit: Solved. Of course right after I post this I find the setting, looked right over it. For anyone else: Admin CP --> Members --> Staff --> Moderators --> Edit --> "Can Manage Sidebar Blocks"

In a few posts on this community I have ready about renaming robotstxt.txt to use as a robots.txt template file however I am not able to find robotstxt.txt on my installation. Is this not used anymore? Is it advised to create a robots.txt file? Thanks

I think some of my users are experiencing issues with cookies after IPB 4.x upgrade as some of them reported that their login is not getting saved and keeps getting logged out. Is there a way to reset the cookie using the forum link. I remember that a link was there in an older version of IPB which is used to reset or clear the user's cookie. Is there something similar now or is the only way to clear all cookies through the browser settings?

Hi, I have many videos hosted on Wistia ready to be included in my private forum, and would like to embed them for my members. I've tried copying/pasting all the embed codes provided by Wistia, the direct link, etc. but nothing seems to work. I found this topic but the file to be downloaded is no longer there. Hey so I've got a few questions about IPB plugins/hooks; 1) I'm running IPB 3.4.8 and I don't want to upgrade to 4+ because I'm comfortable with how this works, and my community is established, no need for me to retstart. With that being said, will plugins developed for 4.0, 4.1 etc work on my version (3.4.8)? 2) If not, where can I get 3.4.x plugins/hooks? I know IPB has discontinued development for 3.4.x but I still need some and I figured there have got to be places around that still offer older material thanks

How can I create a link that will generate the forum rules popup? To be clear, I have the automatically generated link that is displayed on each forum when you've selected "Show link to rules" in the display settings of the forum. What I want to do is manually create an inline link to the same popup, specifically in the description for the forum. Is that possible?

We're looking to use a multi select box on our one submission forms (in this case, facilities at a business). This is then naturally stored in the database as an array. I can print the array with the standard call to the field within the pages template. But was wondering if there's an easy way to perform queries on that array. Such looking for value X in the array and if true, then showing something. In practice, we're wanting to see if a facility array contains the value Swimming Pool and then show a tick next to the text Swimming Pool, and if there is a value in the array called Camping, then show a tick next to the text "Camping'.
