For weeks now (I'd actually say a couple of months), my Cpanel Error log has recorded hundreds of instances from an IP address 46.229.168.*, which tries to access all sorts of weird port numbers on my VPS: 49712, 7906, 39942, 5554, 29068, 12832, 14748....you get the idea. These requests are all done twice per second, so in a given second a different IP (the last part being different) will rapidfire two attempts to access a given port. Then a different iteration of 46.229.168.* will try another port and so forth. I've blocked this IP block from my server so no harm is being done. Sorry if this a silly question or if it has been answered before. I have been searching and haven't found an answer yet. Like in the example below the owner would like to create locked topics within one feature and have some topics open for discussion but avoid members creating topics within that feature. Anyone know how to remove two factor authentication from the Admin CP? I enabled it but find it a real pain (yes yes I know the protection it offers) as I use a different browser on my phone/ipad than I do on my desktop to access the site I dont' know how to remove this - anyone know? checking through the two factor authentication in admin CP it's not showing that it's activated either which is frustrating as there's no on/off options

Hi guys - I have a block that displays the latest posts of all members I follow. The most recent upgrade seems to have broken that block. Any ideas how to accomplish this again? It's a fairly simple block that displays the latest 5 posts of the members that I follow but doesn't seem to be possible now after upgrade. After the upgrade, my block simply displays the most recent posts of all members (no longer filtering by only Members I Follow). Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Chad

Hi, is there any way to limit the number of picked items from showing on the "Our Picks" page? It seems to be set to 24 items which can make the page a bit slow to load when using it as a home page (with photos on each item). I'd prefer to have it display 12 items and then break to the next page.

I'm testing out Litespeed and have noticed an issue in Pages ACP. When I create a new article and then add the image, the image is a broken link. When I look view image source it is correct, and when I ftp to my site the image is where it is supposed to be, but it just won't display. Any ideas?

When I create a new forum using the API, no one (including unrestricted admins), can see it. Even clearing the cache using the support, doesn't make the forum appear. The only 'fix' I found is to click edit forum and save, but that defeats the point of the API, doesn't it? I'm using redis for caching and IPB 4.3.5, if that matters in any way.

I have created a database containing records where the content field is a Vimeo URL which I would like to have appear automatically ready to play when the record is displayed. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work in databases, unless I have configured something wrong. If I paste the URL into the comments field for the record it shows up fine, but not on the main record. Any advice?

When IPS4 first came out, I commissioned a dev to write a plugin for me. "Keep a copy because I delete my PMs after a while", he told me. I'm usually pretty good at keeping copies of my plugins but this one appears to have slipped through the net. I'm not sure how because I have a copy on my original site plus another on my second site. I now need it on my new third site and can't track it down anywhere. I can see the relevant files in the plugins directly and copied them to the new site. I've got quite an old forum going back years (2002 ish I think?) It's quite a big site now in terms of posts, threads, images etc If I were to archive much of it what difference would it make to anything? Is it worth NOT archiving? What does archiving actually do/affect? Would it affect SEO or the number of pages indexed by search engines?

I’ve never used a local server app before and thought I’d try it. I installed MAMP Pro 5 yesterday on my Mac as I have other sites I’d also like to use it with. I can’t figure out how to use it... I’ve looked at MAMP’s documentation, but it seems mostly aimed at creating new sites and using it with Wordpress, and I don’t find it that explanatory. Could some kind person please tell me, step-by-baby-step, in idiot-proof language, how to import an existing forum (with its database, obviously) into MAMP Pro? I have a vBulletin 4 forum and a Wordpress site that I would like to combine into a single Invision Community. They both are on their own domains. I know you can convert vB4 to Invision but not sure about Wordpress. And if you can import both into a single community. I have an Invision license for Forums, Pages and Gallery.
