I have it set up right in Admin CP: But everytime I click on it in the forum, it's always set to 365 days somehow If I change it on that screen it's just temporary, it goes right back to 365 days on a refresh What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I run my own web server and as of a few updates ago, the updater no longer functions. Before, it was able to download and extract the files onto the filesystem all on its own but now it no longer does that and asks me for FTP information to perform an upgrade. On 4.3 and 4.4, it would try downloading onto the filesystem and just tell me that something went wrong (without telling me what went wrong) and it asked me to do it manually but now it straight up prompts me for ftp information. I don't have FTP set up on this webserver and I don't want to create an SFTP account just for that. Am I perhaps missing some PHP modules or filesystem permissions? There a…

In the last few months I've noticed a sharp uptick in my spam reports from Comcast and other large email providers. When I view the spam reports, 90%+ of them contain this auto-response: The number of these reports has been steadily increasing over time, so the risk is that my site/domain/server will be blocked from sending email to many large providers like Comcast. What is clearly happening here is that bots are trying to post, and are inserting either random email addresses from a spam list, or simply generating fake email addresses. I had the Post Before Registering turned on and have just looked at my data and found my site is saturated with spam posts. In one forum every single thread has a spam post at the end of it...over a couple of thousand spam posts. I have now turned off the Post Before Registering but can anyone tell me what happens to the spam posts now...luckily they don't show in the site for users to see but how can I get rid of the ones that have already been made now that I have turned this "non-feature" off...thanks

Hi folks, I have two different oAuth2 identity providers connected to my invision forum. Both of them working great. Now, I have the order to link their sign ins vice versa on their sign in pages. But I have no idea how to trigger sign on for oauth2 login with http/javascript. I already tried to start some HTTP POST to url/index.php?/login/ with the correct processLogin ID, but I just get a 403 forbidden. AdminCP > Commerce > Subscriptions > Subscribers The info seems to break the response layout, you can't see the expiry dates when using an Safari iPad, the table goes off the page without scroll bars or wrapping. Happens in landscape and portrait modes.

I have a simple IPB site that's broken and unusable after a supposedly simple migration involving an account-account transfer on the same host (no DNS changes). There were no errors during transfer of files and databases, and conf has been updated accordingly. However, the new site after changing the addon domain settings in cPanel displays without any formatting whatsoever. I'm at the very end of my wits trying to figure this out and obviously any sort of reinstall is not possible on an active site. ... if allow remote images is set to false. We would like no remote images, yet with the special supported embedded links (things like facebook, twitter, youtube, gfycat, etc.) I'd like those to continue to work as they did in 4.4. Is this a bug? In 4.4, we had remote images disabled, yet still saw these embedded links.

The search results in the personal messenger still seem to be limited in scope, either by time or maybe the number of results. I'm running 4.4.x at the moment, and looking to update soon to 4.5. Has this been addressed in 4.5? I could have sworn this was addressed in an earlier release, but apparently not? And if this limitation is still in place, what's the easiest way for me to allow for more search results? This is really hindering my ability to find relevant content in older messages (my forum has been online since about 2001!) Thanks in advance for any insight.

Just upgraded from v4.5.3 to 4.5.4 and can't log out of the ACP...no drop down happens when clicking your admin avatar or drop down arrow top right of ACP...plus ACP search doesn't work...since going to v4.5 my site has always been stuffed with one issue after another and fixes just cause other issues. Can't even log a support request within the ACP No one can post or start a thread...site is now stuffed IPS is rapidly becoming a dog of a product...I am furious, I am frustrated, should have stayed with Xenforo 🥵

Hey guys, Facebook sent me this alert, and I'm not sure what to make of it. Do I need to do anything? I use FB integration on my forum for users to sign in. I've struggled trying many different format permutations and nothing works to specify the secondaryGroups parameter in the Edit Member API call: https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/rest-api?endpoint=core/members/POSTitem Specifying [n,n] does NOT work. Hey guys, I thought I'd put this here since the 'contact us' area works for me but the client area is locked (gotta find me password again) and any help is good help. So, tonight I got told by the folks who use my forums that this error kept popping up for them: [[Template core/front/global/favico is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date.
