    No Permissions after Manual Background Tasks

    I've attempted to rebuild my URL posts to not require a link to open in a new page. When the rebuild begins, it takes place in the background. Not wanting to wait for a long rebuild process, I click the link to rebuild manually. It proceeds for 5-10 seconds and then I get and error message saying I do not have permission for the task. I hope the process will still finish in the background but has anyone else had this issue? I'm on 4.6.8. The last image has some System Log entries which could give some feedback.

    We are 2 different administators with exactly the same permissions. Suddenly the one account cannot see anything else than the global template at original and at custom themes. Tested with 3 different browsers in 2 pc version 4.5.4.2 any opinions ? Thanks

    Does it matter how frequently the cronjob/task runs?

    Hey there! I'm looking for information regarding the frequency of the cronjob/task. For context, we're moving our site from AWS Elastic Beanstalk where I was able to force the cronjob to only run on 1 server in the auto-scaling group. However, we're moving to a Docker Swarm infrastructure where this isn't quite as easy. So the question is, if I have, let's say, 6 instances of IPS running in the swarm, is it bad if they are all hitting the cron every minute? Should the cron only be called once a minute, or is once a minute the maximum recommended time? In this setup, we would be hitting the cronjob 6 times/minute (or really however many instances/replicas of the…

    With the latest update of the IPB there comes an audio player. I want my mp3 files to be available in my community for download only for premium members. I prefered to previous solution for that. Can the audio player be deactivated ? Thanks for the help in forward.

    Hi, I'm using the blog section for our community. Since (a week or so) the blog entry categories has been changed. It seems Invision is using the chosen tags for blog entries. Because it I can only choose most of my used tags which I used in my blog. Example: In the beginning this did not occure. Are you familiar with this? Is this a bug?

    Storage Settings wiped out - site crashed

    This has happened twice now, two weeks apart first time was saving an article and then the second time was saving a forum post both times the save failed and the site was unusable directly afterwards on looking both times the 'storage settings' all had resorted to the first directory and my invision license number had also been wiped as my theme files was in a different directory than the first directory this crashed my site to recover I had to re-enter all my 'Storage Settings' to their past settings and then delete the 'datastore' directory contents this got then got site back to an useable state have read 2 or 3 members on here having…

    Possible bug with moving albums out of Clubs

    So I am cleaning out a Club so I can delete it. I just moved an album (which I created in this Club) to a private Gallery category. However, the album and its entries still appear in the Activity feed (in the Overview tab), and when I click on it there I'm taken to the album in its new location. I'd assume this should disappear from the Activity feed altogether?

    Several years ago, a portion of our thriving community was separated into a separate IPS community on its own. It's an experiment that may not be working, so staff is starting to discuss options. Is it possible to import all posts and members from the one community into the first community? Both are running the current IPS version, etc. Totally updated. I've been reading through posts here and doing a Google search, but no results are showing for import options since before 2020. Thanks.

    I was browsing guest users reading my articles. I came across a guest who has 1 registration ... Following the link I see an account with a real ID for this user, no name and no email address ... There is no such user in the ACP members list. Through PHP myadmin table core_members finds this user, last registration - but no name, no email address, only IP address and is in the validation group ... I tested my registration form - without a name and email address I can't register ... Is this an bug in version 4.6.8?     Hi, Does anybody else has issues? I just tried to send a PM and it got stuck on "Saving" forever. Tried twice and no luck. My message included a link to a topic from this forum. When I removed the link my message was instantly published but it contains also the previous failed message. Trying to edit the message results again in "Saving" being stuck. Also now while typing this message I noticed the same issue with a link and I also can't open the Code window (spinning circle and that's it). EDIT: It must be some temporary quirk. Now all good. Just delete this topic.

    I installed the coinbase commerce plugin just now and now no one is able to login anymore, I cannot even go into my adminCP....... Please help!!!! 😞 I don't know what to do The website works but you're unable to log in and you get http 500 errors every now and then I do get email notification of login on new device but I do not get past this mysql server has gone away error I have not changed any login details of mysql.

    Firefox cannot upload attachments

    We updated to 4.6.8 yesterday and we noticed that when Firefox is used, the user cannot upload attachments. The user gets an Error code: -200. When the same user user changes to using Chrome on the same device, they can upload without issue. Any advice to correct this would be greatly appreciated.

    Upgrade to 4.6.8 - ".github" Folder

    Hi Just downloaded the patched files to go from 4.6.5.1 to 4.6.8 using the admincp and I opened the zip to find a folder called .github with a file called changelog-4.6.md inside that mentions 4.6.9 Is this folder normal as I normally do it via a full download (as server doesnt use ftp) via the customer area but it seemed strange to have a stub of .github inside the zip and a file mentioning 4.6.9.     Is it possible to edit the Forum Update Page so that one can add the forum logo rather than show a simple black and white text message whilst the forum updates are running please? If so, a pointer to the file to tweak would be a bonus. Many thanks
