Following a long illness I find I cant access my membership site forum. It is linked to my wordpress site via an SSO link which was installed back in 2017 by a developer who I am no longer in touch with. I don't have the details of the link. Can you advise what can be done? I need to access my forum as it is the main teaching hub of my site. I manage to get onto my wordpress site OK but when asked to put in my login details to the forum , it is refused.

Ok, we had in the older 4.5 (I think) a system set up where a new member was a NEWBIE and they couldn't post links and various other stuff, We upgraded to 4.6.8 and now 4.6.9 and we were getting a lot more first post spammers with links so the upgrade broke this rule (group promotion) setting. Looking at Group promotions - Our promotion is still there but because of the new badges system all areas were blank so a new member joins as a newbie and automatically as there is nothing to say different in group promotions becomes a member with privileges I have now added a 2 post badge and put this as a group promotion into the system which is now working again Y…

Hello everyone, I just accessed my forum this morning and noticed the following message at the top of the screen: [[Template core/admin/global/globalTemplate is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] Nothing has changed on my site in the last month and it has been several weeks since the last Invision update, so I'm not sure why all of a sudden this is coming up when nothing has been changed that may have caused it. Hi - I am still setting up my board as an Admin and was able to get all of my profile fields working, etc. I was always able to update my profile as I was testing it. Now, whenever I go to update the profile and change something, when I go to save-- I get the dreaded circle that keeps spinning (see attached). I have tried this on 4 separate computers in different locations, so I know it is not a hardware and connection issue. Any ideas on what may be causing this to happen? I seemed to have coincided when I added a profile section where people could select multiple checkboxes to show which industries they had experience in. Thank you! Brian

Self hosting setup here. After the last 2 updates went smoothly, this update is acting up as before. The update experience should be flawless. Already by experience I know how I can restart a stuck update. Had to do it twice, each time the update routine said I had to upload manually ( where ? ). Each time restarting the browser (Safari), because Invision has incorrect cache management. Then the third time it actually worked WITHOUT changing anything on my setup. Not really rock solid. If the same code acts up twice and then works the 3th time, I have questions… Then I get the 501 errors in the middle of the update. I know now - also from experience - I have to …

Hi there, I received a notification that an invoice would soon be due. Owing to the price increases and the fact that I still hadn't got around after several years to making use of the Forums application on that license, I decided to ask for it to be removed. Upgrading from v4.4.10 to v.4.6.9 w/ MySQL 8 for DB. All tables are InnoDB w/ utf8mb4_unicode_ci engine. Stuck with the error shown in the attached screenshots. How can I resolve and complete the upgrade? Also included MySQL table status and status output for reference. NOTE: I would open a support ticket, but the Client Area says Email support expired 5 days ago, but our license is through June 2022. I am pretty sure this did worked before, but now, on a mobile, when I open the menu, the menu is completely to the right out of screen, and you need to scroll to see it. This is when I clicked the hamburger menu, it opens right of the screen and is very annoying. And you need to scroll right to see it: Can I do something about this issue?

Hello. I would appreciate if someone can help me fix this. Some of my members mentioned that on mobile interface sometimes they see image urls instead of the actual images being embedded within the post. When having ACP in dark mode, the editor background is displayed in dark mode too, that makes editing nearly impossible, as black text, etc is barely visible.

Hello, I've noticed something strange when creating new Clubs. I have a test site and a production site, both of which are running IPB 4.6.9. When I create a Club on my test site there's an option to automatically create Club features as per the menu below: However, this is missing from the Club creation menu on my production site. As I mentioned, both are running the same version of IPB, and disabling all customisations on my production site doesn't resolve this. Is there some setting I'm missing? Thanks!

Hello, I just recently renewed my subscription to the forums, and I'm unable to create a support ticket. This is what it says: As for my support issue, what are my options for this issue: I have my website CMS which relies on PHP 7.1 and cannot be upgraded to PHP 7.2 or higher, which means I can't use Invision Power Board. Is there a version I can download that has support for PHP 7.1? Thanks!

Hi, We've had a number of users report that they are not receiving automated badges based on their activity. For example, users are set to receive a badge when they gain their first follower and for whatever reason, that automated rule is not being triggered. Nothing has been changed in our admin backend and everything about the rule and badge looks completely fine. Is this a known issue? Liam
