I have a Invision Community v4.6.9 it can not be upgraded any longer. I do the latest upgrade and the forum goes down due to errors. It is an arcade gaming community with 30,000 games and 250 members Have gone over and over the database a few times, and found left over data from another forum, and left over data from a couple of left over mod.'s. Made changes and still can not do the upgrade. I also have a brand new Invision Community v4.6.10 arcade test site. Which I have been adding to make it look like the original arcade forum. My Developers confirm that this is an IPS bug (probably specific to the latest update (v4.6.10): Browser: Firefox v97.0 (64-bit). Does not appear to affect the latest versions of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browsers. Hello, I wonder if it's possible to hide the suggestions sent in every email. Below the content received, you will read... (see below) How can I control that? Can I disable that block of information? Like, no suggestions, number of them or even to whom it's being sent? Why am I asking this? On my community, those articles can only be read by "members who have paid". Hello Guys, I just noticed that my "Top Downloads" box on my Downloads page is not posting the numbers correcly. The box currently shows the same files and same number of downloads across the board (week, month, year, all time). The highest shows only ~800 downloads, whereas I have files that have multi-thousands of downloads. Something seems to have gotten reset on that box, but the files have the correct download numbers on them. How do I ge the "Top Downloads" to populate with the correct files and downloads?

I would like to restrict certain user groups from sending Private Messages on my forum. Is this possible natively, or is there an add-on that does this? Scenario: We frequently deal with a problem wherein someone will join my community and start spamming members privately. I would like to set up a promotions schema where "New Members" can't send private messages. After a few days and/or a few pubic postings made to show that they aren't a spam-bot, they would be automatically promoted to "Full Member" status. Full Member status would allow use of private messages. Thanks in advance for any help or recommendations. 🙂

Hi community, I am Using Auth0 as auth provider with Invision Community. I setup the normal SSO process and it seems to work quite nicely. Unfortunately the Logout part still does not work. I expect the logout button to logout from my auth0 session as well as from invision. Is there anybody with experience regarding this issue? If I define the auth0 logout URL as external logout URL in invision I get logged out from auth0 correctly, but invision still thinks I am logged in. Cheers and kind regards, Ben

Hi, I'm supposed to change my site address from x to y. The files will stay in the same place, but the address is simply changed. The old address will also work, but redirect to the new URL. The instructions kind of make sense, but is the only option to temporarily shut down the site, so that the current URL doesn't work, and then the Invision system will allow me to point to the new location?

Hi. I just found the above description in Advanced Configuration/ Page Output setting. I'm trying to get my head around what it actually means. Does it mean that when people visit the forums and browse through different topics the content is dynamically generated so Google only registers one page view?

Hello, I am trying to locate the place in ACP where I can edit the footer for the emails sent. I could find the footer area for the invoice emails. There is a nice WYSIWYG editor for the invoices. I added the footer and the header. All good. What about all the other emails that are not Commerce related? Where can I edit the footer for the welcome email, confirmation email, etc? Thanks

I noticed that after updating to 4.6.10, the "Can edit profile information?" option stopped working. After turning it off, I can still edit my profile picture and other information from the front view.

We use zapier to share records from a database to fb. The trigger we setup is "visible only" but even though the record posted as hidden zapier catches it and share it on fb. In a different database when we post a hidden record adsense can "see it" and returns us error "Crawler: Page not found" . Of course guests in both cases can`t see the hidden records. Is that behavior proper ?? Thanks

I am having trouble with email logo and resolution. Is there a way to control the size of the logo so it doesnt get to big? When I upload a really smaill logo, resolution decreases. And it wont take .svg files to ensure resolution. Help appreciated.

Hi, When I access to the RSS through the website, I see there is a parameter "key" with a guid. That guid is updated each some days. I'm trying to do a webrequest from my code to get the RSS XML without passing that "key" parameter. I'm getting a Forbidden (403) error. I'm setting the admin credentials in the code. Hi - 1) I have a self-hosted IP Board license that I use for my Wordpress site 2) I will have two membership levels, one of which provides access to the entire IP Board Forums, and another that provides access to only one Forum 3) Am I able to restrict access to the forums based on membership levels assigned in Memberpress--which is the membership plugin I use within Wordpress? I did a search here and was only able to find this post from a few years ago and was curious if there were any recommendations on how I could solve for the issue above. Hello. I've recently noticed that the ranks don't change the graphics. I have set let's say 10 posts = Sliver 1. A person with 150 posts still has Sliver 1 Everything was working fine until all of a sudden the ranks are not counting for posts and topics. Sorry for my broken English. We have a self-hosted solution. Until we upgraded to the latest patch it was possible to paste a YouTube URL into the editor and it would be converted into an embedded placeholder with thumbnail. This still appears to happen while editing the post, but when submitting, the new post does not show and the URL changes to include "&failedReply=1" at the end. Hello Invision Community, I apologize in advance if this is something that shouldn't be conversed here but I will elaborate as to why I have. I am looking to reset my password on my account but the "forgot password" link does not send the necessary email to me. I don't remember the password I used when signing up, (foolish I know), so I can't use the change password forum because I don't have the original password. I have sent several support requests but to no avail they have not been answered. So I am here using essentially, my last option.
