An AI scanner that can decipher text dialect would be more useful.

It would really be appreciated if IPS stopped the cloud hard-sell. Self-hosting is a requirement for many people. You should sell a value-added service (monthly) to cover things that are services as an optional add-on for self hosted users at a bare minimum.

Some of the features which are cloud only, such as live threads, should be simply given to self-hosted users with a "this only works if you can configure your server / use at your own risk" disclaimer. I will not be switching to cloud, and many customers feel this way. Please listen to us. You will lose customers if you keep on this path, I guarantee it. If there's much more strongarm tactics to force people onto cloud services, I will not be here long.
    Then please, ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT it.

I mean even 20 clients on business beats 500+ self host customers in terms of price. Which is why they're pushing cloud so they make more money providing the same service. They have 27,450 active clients (anyone who's renewed within the last 6 months) which is a increase of 194 from last year.
However, the last 4 months there's only been an increase of 22 active clients, about the same time they started pushing cloud exclusives. Don't think their methods are really paying off unless they're converting a bunch of people to cloud which may be the case since they're intentionally gating useful features behind cloud

Are there number how many clients these these plans have? Like are there more then 20 clients on business plan that get these new features?

It's not big ask - from AlexWebsites, Adriano and many others to clearly indicate in blog title - Cloud only feature.

i have around 15 licences and pay a small fortune and now being restricted? I am also been using invision for 17 odd years or more and now feel like Invision do not appreciate loyal customers.

It's not easy making money from communities and I would imagine some really do struggle and having a cloud solution really doesn't work for them.

    Slight sour taste now.

I've been a client of IPS for about 17 years, and I am disappointed of the direction they are going in now. They are creating new features for their cloud clients even though they have several bugs that have gone unfixed for months. I haven't renewed my license because I feel like an idiot for paying for something that, after 17 years, I might not be allowed to use.

I understand the need to  make a profit via overpriced first party cloud hosting, but given the direction this feature exclusivity is heading, please consider adding opt-in features to self-hosted plans, at a recurring cost. We already have to pay renewals for applications, so why not create an additional set of premium features that also have a renewal fee, should people want them?
Personally I don't care for these current extra offerings about live statuses, but perhaps one day you'll make something exclusive that will be of more interest.

Why don't you use a pre-fix with the title like: [Cloud Only] New Live Community Features!
Save all us self-hosters some time in our day...

From what I understand only for communities with a someone paid plan. So this not be available for self-hosted instances.
By the way, they should mark these types of articles with the information that the features are only available to CLOUD users.

So I just recaived a badge here, and in my profle I can see this: "47 points until your next rank" and I will be not able to know how many points do I have in total and how i earned it? It is confusing (I am talking about my opinion as user of this forum). I am thinking (as a user) that there should be place wher I can click to check my history, my "future" ranks etc.

    @Matt et al.
Regarding both an 'all badges' page and, especially, a 'how many {xyz} until the next badge/rank', it's not so much a 'game' issue as it is a motivation issue and don't take it from me, take it from a successful website: TripAdvisor. I'm a Level 6 at TA and, frankly, what got me there was their: "3 more reviews until Level X". They also do this for the 'sub-badges' for instance restaurant or hotel or monument reviews. "Two more restaurant reviews until you become a Gold Reviewer".
Hope this helps to show how a real-world motivational strategy fuels engagement 😇
**edit** I CAN'T WAIT! Great addition!

I love it. The new point system ties nicely into a vision I have for one or both of my communities.  I have been using Discuz! (2002) and FluxBB (2008); since the founding of their conception. Both of them have become dated in many ways, and while I have developed them both beyond their functionality, I feel we have reached an impasse. They most certainly work and function, but the development for one of them (FluxBB) has all but nearly stopped, and the other has become more 'hackish' (Discuz! 3.5) as the development has progressed (when it moves).
Our current business model mimics Reddit, both in the way of ad placement, monthly subscription, and the ability to reward others. Members naturally already receive achievements and points, which I see Invision will have in the upcoming v4.6; this is a beautiful way to encourage engagement while giving the member base a sense of involved reward and recognition.  Additionally, you already have a reaction system in place. What is lacking, and I presume we may need to build out in third-party development, is a method to purchase the reactions to reward others ("x" value allows to "y" number of reactions you can reward others).
Nevertheless, I am excited and looking forward to the pending release of 4.6

I agree with what many people here are asking for. I would really appreciate a way to surface what badges exist, how they are earned, and some explanation of the ranks and points system. I totally understand the sentiment of not wanting to surface this info but I think it needs to be an option.

My only comment is I would strongly urge someone to look at Discourse to see what a typical "basic" set of badges looks like and make it very easy for Invision users to implement such a "basic" set to very easily have a great user onboarding experience.
This is the only area I think Discourse has been crushing us, and they really have pretty much nailed user onboarding through badges and gamification. I've joined two discourse communities recently related to some smart home stuff I'm doing (Hubitat being one of them) and the user onboarding with badges to reward participation and elevating to higher and higher trust levels the more things a person does to engage is just *chef's kiss*.
Sort of like the below (although I dobn't think this is the default set):
