    !!! This is great news.
My anxiety is kicking in anyway 😆 . Perhaps @kRSB can take a look and possibly update the file page to reflect that it's compatible with 4.6? 🙏

    Hello,
I was asked to post this in the feedback section in response to my support ticket...
Please could you update the Redis configuration settings in Advanced Configuration, to include a USERNAME field for compatibility with the latest stable release of Redis (currently v6.2.5).
    https://redis.io/download
IPS needs to be able to pass the username as part of the configuration, whereas previous it was just an optional password (due to changes that came about with the improved security and ACL feature).
    https://redis.io/topics/acl

    Many thanks.

We decided to create our own solution to overwrite badges, add some progress bar to next badge and to show users how many and what badge is next.
Like how many post he have and how many days on site.
I have working on addon to do it.

Percival reacted to Square Wheels in Badges look dated
I didn't like the badges from when I first saw them.  Now that they've been in place for a while, they look even worse.  Plus, I have no idea what their purpose is.
I have not updated my sites yet, probably in a few weeks.
I will definitely not be using the new badge system.

    Use at your own risk
The following will place the member's achievement points total below their group title
Edit forums > front -> topics -> postContainer
    After:
    {{if $comment->author()->member_id}} <li data-role='stats' class='ipsMargin_top'> <ul class="ipsList_reset ipsType_light ipsFlex ipsFlex-ai:center ipsFlex-jc:center ipsGap_row:2 cAuthorPane_stats">
    Add:
    {{if isset( $comment->author()->achievements_points )}} <li> <a href="{url="app=core&module=members&controller=profile&id={$comment->author()->member_id}&do=badges" seoTemplate="profile_badges" seoTitle="$comment->author()->members_seo_name"}" title="{lang="achievements_awards_points" pluralize="$comment->author()->achievements_points"}" data-ipsTooltip class="ipsType_blendLinks"> <i class="fa fa-bathtub"></i> {number="$comment->author()->achievements_points" format="short"} </a> </li> {{endif}} Result:

Percival reacted to DesertIslandFruits in Badge Order
When adding new badges that users can earn, they are not in order when displayed in the profile.  For example if you created a badge for:
    1 Week Member
    2 Week Member
    1 Year Member
You then wanted to add a badge for 4 Week Member, when processed and showing on the profile they would show this way:
    1 Week Member
    2 Week Member
    1 Year Member
    4 Week Member
You should be able to change the order of badtges on the Achievements / Badges tab so they are processed in the order they are shown.  Looks neater on the profile and fixes OCD for members.

Percival reacted to LiamH in Different post highlight colours for different groups
At the moment, it's configured to just 1 colour for all user groups that have their posts highlighted. This can get a little messy and hard to distinguish in communities where multiple different groups have this enabled.

Just thinking more about this. This might actually make Badges/Achievements catch up faster. Lets say you have 20,000 members, if the badges run backwards to check if they have been acquired, they only need to hit the highest achievement and then the system would know to give all the lower acheivements as well.
So if right now the system goes like this....
Member 1, Does he have 1 post? If so give achievement 1 post Member 1, Does he have 10 posts, If so give achievement 10 posts ..... Member 1, Does he have 100,000 posts, if so give achievement 100,000 posts
Well that means Member 1 has to be run thru each level to see if he has met the condition. However if the badges are grouped, You could work backwards from 100,000 and lets say he only has 55,000 posts, then the check only has to do the following....
Member 1, Does he have 100,000 posts, if so give him achievement 100,000 posts Member 1, Does he have 50,000 posts, if so give him achievement 50,000 posts Condition met, Automatically skip/give 1-25,000
If so, this could possibly speed up rebuilds against large communities with large amounts of badges/achievements.

So I love the new achievement, badges, ranks system. I plan to create the following badges
    Created 1 Topic, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000, etc... Replied to 1 Topic, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000, etc... Uploaded 1 Image, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000, etc... Gave 1 Reaction, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000, etc... Submitted 1 File, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10,000, etc... Signed in for 1 day, 7 days, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 months, 12 Months, 24 Months concurrently
Anyhow, this is obviously going to lead to a TON of badges, My community has been running IPB since 2005. I want to give credit for past items created. So I would say let us create groups, put similar rules into those groups, and then choose to ONLY show the highest badge earned. So a user with 500 topics would only show the 500 Topics badge, and not the 6 previous badges. It's a given that if you have the 500 topics badge, that you would also have the 250, 100, 50....etc.

    Hi,
It will be nice to have option to replace badge. I mean we have badge for 1 month, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years and 15 years on forum, but it will be nice when highest one will replace lower badges. The same with 1k, 5k, 10k, 20k, 30k posts on forum. It is nice to have more then 3 levels, but not showing it all on badges. It can show it all, but after clicking on that badge (then show previous one levels for example).
This option have Trophies and Medals, but we prefer to use build-in IPS option.

Percival reacted to CheersnGears in Auto Clear Caches after Upgrade
    Hi IPS,
I'd like to make a suggestion to add a check box whenever upgrading an app to offer to automatically clear the system cache after an update.  I've notice that 98% of the time when I do an app update my site will slow to an absolute crawl until I manually clear the system cache.  It doesn't seem to matter if it is an Invision app or a marketplace app.  It would be nice when doing the upgrade to just check a box so that the script will auto clear cache when its done.  If this option is already available, maybe make it in a more obvious spot because I don't see it.

    Thanks,
    Drew

Why submitted apps and plugins are taking very long for 4.6 review.
I see some plugins and apps get reviewed and added to the 4.6 market place quicker than others.
I wait now almost 2 weeks for you to review plugin and you have not.
Can you tell why is this?
    Is there a queue?
Dose some resource jump the queue?
My question is for IPS support to respond and not From Know it alls who knows nothing.

Percival reacted to opentype in WebP and reprocessing images
I wouldn’t be so eager to convert everything. First of all, there are still users who cannot see WebP images at all and switching over to WebP without keeping all previous images as fall-back would mean they don’t see any images at all.
Second, the format itself doesn’t guarantee better images, especially if the WebP version is generated from an already compressed or optimized source image.

I apprichate the need for progression, but I have had some feedback that members don't like some of the new features.
Two things that I need to fix are:
    1. Putting the Member Title Back in the PostBit.
    2. Showing the rep points in the PostBit.
Can anyone advise how to do this please, I've searched through the reputation stuff and I simply can't find a way to turn it back on.  I only updated to remain secure with the lastest security patches.
    Thank you.

Just fyi this is finally, really done. Ran into some hitches with name spacing (don't ask...) and caught a few things on testing I figured I should just deal with now rather than post-release. That and the usual other work, other problems thing.
Approved when it is approved. There will be a new support topic as well. This topic remains for a brief time as support for the old plugin, which, yes, does work with 4.5, so it will remain "supported" but I will not be flagging it as officially compatible with 4.5. In fact, I had IPS go ahead and disable new purchases on the plugin itself as there was at least one purchase AFTER I stuck a bunch of text at the top of the MP listing saying don't do that as you would just be throwing money away.
Init release pretty much as stated in the previous post. The GDPR stuff will be "soon" but I'll probably push gallery and blogs support out first. The app is GDPR "safe" as nothing is saved when a member is deleted from your community, all the viewer information this app stored gets wiped when the member gets wiped, but full compliance - the ability for a member to grab a download of their stored views, that's yet to be done.
New application name is just "Viewers" btw.
