Any estimation on when will this version be available to everyone, stable and ready to use? Maybe comparing this to when 4.5 released?

You can download it right now from the client area. You can also try doing it through ACP and use the check for updates/something is wrong and see if it picks up the update.

  2. @Matt @Jordan Invision
Just to add, is there still a bug on rebuilding achievement? It's just cycling between:

    Processing RebuildAchievements - core_Reaction -  60742 / 60742
    Processing RebuildAchievements - core_Comment -  55078 / 55078

The % is going up - it's at 158.82%? I'll let it continue just in case it still trying to complete.

Update - It finally finished, but not before showing my a 503 error and restarting the manual process again.

Running it now on my upcoming site and it seems to be behaving OK with just few niggles - I added one to bug buster list today 🙂

The one big issue I have (and not sure it someone else has added to the bug buster) is if I sign out I can't sign back in until I've cleared the browser cache. The browser just sits there with it's little circular thing in the top left going around and around lol.

No such issue on my sites with Firefox.

  4. Have you got commerce? If so, why not create a new Dept, add the link to the menu. And then people can create a request to delete the account.

I wouldn’t want people to be able to delete accounts without it being checked first (for example). I don’t delete accounts usually (unless they have no posts). I therefore delete personal info, and anonymise their posts. As I don’t like posts being deleted as they can ruin the flow of posts/topics.

Profile fields can be made visible on the author pane, that's one of the primary reasons we opted to convert them instead of remove them completely.

I've seen, and it displays under the group user icon and other info, but it just looks messy. Whereas the title under the username was neat. I can see what you guys have done and thankful for keeping it during the upgrade.

Member titles are moved to a custom profile field regardless of the option you choose. They will continue to exist in a profile field unless you delete them.

Would you offer a way to still have it appear below the username, so we can still have the choice?

Whatever.  I don't need to know the technicalities, and I would rather remove my testicles with a rusty spoon than learn about CSS.  The point is modern websites should have responsive buttons, images ; this isn't even a debate.

Here's an example of a website I own with large buttons.

I’d get that bloody spoon ready mate… 🤨

Upgraded our test site. Only got a handful of users on it, but alas the achievements seems to be rather greedy.

The  Rebuild achievements rule nexus_Subscription is just running and running.

I currently have a ticket in for this for another site. I believe it's a bug as it froze while manually running the task. Double check with IPS so they can look into this, in case you have the same issue.

Yes running now on my upcoming site and it really is smooth - experimenting with the badges and ranks, but svg is new for me in the creation process so I'm in the trial and error phase lol.  Great work and loving it 🙂

This is probably not what people would recommend, but I can't get along with Illustrator... So, I've changed all mine to .PNG. I've used Photoshop for many, many years, and it's just my preferred choice. And at such a smile size, I doubt most will be able to notice.

  10. Great, I think that’s all my moaning out the way! Makes sense doing a few different installs to actually see it and mess about with the settings.

Are you going to allow us to make custom rules at some stage? I didn’t notice a rule that can be given to someone when they join the community. Instead I had to use the ‘signed in’ rule and set it to 1 minute for a user to be awarded a new member badge.

I don’t think the rules are complicated per say. But, a few could be redone to make it clearer.

  11. So I decided to have a go at upgrading the main site on my MAMP install and I thought I would choose to NOT run the new achievements. Upgrade literally took 2 minutes and was very smooth (as it should be on a local install).

Now in ACP I can see that the rank system is still the same as if the achievements was enabled. The only difference being that the points and badges are not shown on the front end. But, I can still customise all the points and badges and the rules? If I'm using the old ranking system, why is it still displayed as points in ACP?

    Quote

    Achievements required

    Use new default ranks
Install the new ranks and use the default rules to generate points by posting, following and more.

    Keep my current ranks
Retain current ranks and continue increasing ranks just by posting

I cannot see a way to enable the full experience so I guess you must be sure on what you choose before upgrading?

And where have the pips gone if I'm using ranks? 🙄

I'm a little confused, and I'm finding it that I am getting confused a lot this week. 🙁
