Let me just say that I had given up on this app until just now, when I saw that Adriano had taken it over.  Yay!  I can install and use it with confidence now. 🙂

Fantastic that this great app has been given a new breath of life by a fantastic developer; you must, eat, drink and sleep coding lol.
Well done mate and it's great to have this app back in action 🙂

As some of you may already know, I'm supporting  @TheJackal84's file since March, 19. We started to talk about this deal on Feb, 21. So in this regard, I would like to state publicity that I am not getting the expected return/attention from TheJackal84, which has not:
given me the list of purchasers of the resources in his website. So what it has to do you with you? I'm not able to add a purchase here on IPS so you can keep downloading updates, if you purchased it there. Why I can't? Because I can't simply trust in words from everyone that requests files. I need to make sure you purchased and when they will expire. Just checked his website and his community doesn't exists anymore: https://flashmodding.com/. If it was there yet you would just need to take a screenshot from the Manage Purchases page. So you can still prove your purchase by sending a PM with the PayPal purchase, etc. In sign of good faith, I will add a full year of support to the proven resources, without take the renewal date in consideration. provided the XML from the plugins, which we can't download from the new marketplace (4.5), so there's no way for me to support these resources now. I will try to get them with IPS (I will speak directly to Lindy). I would also like to inform you that there are other pending issues that are not relevant for this matter but they definitely exists.
    Thank you.

I would lose the fluid width if I were you - you've done that on the dark theme but not the other which is default.  The issue with fluid is that those with large screens 24" and up will find reading the topics difficult; this is why newspapers use columns to break up the width of the pages.  I'd go for a fixed width that's comfortable on the eye and this will be the width regardless of screen size (resolution may come into play somewhat).
A lot of what you see on my homepage is just CSS and the blocks that come with IPS and the Movies app by @Adriano Faria
CSS and HTML are pretty easy to learn, you just need to understand the structures - once you've got that under your hat you can create custom blocks and tune them up any way you want them to appear.  An example would be the new Page Builder Text block that comes with Pages. I used this to create the 'Welcome to...' banner.  The block does most of the heavy lifting, all I had to do was add some CSS to pretty it up, like so:
    background: rgb(9,94,121); background: linear-gradient(90deg, rgba(9,94,121,1) 0%, rgba(9,26,121,1) 49%, rgba(9,94,121,1) 100%); padding-top:30px; padding-bottom:30px; font-size:48px; The gradient can be created using a CSS gradient online editor such as >> https://cssgradient.io/
The world's your oyster to coin a phrase when you can put the little building blocks together.
Apart from the width the only thing I would add is another block to even up your posts at the bottom of the home page - that gap at the end looks like an oversight lol.  That's me being picky BTW 🙂
Love the site, love the music (my era along with the late 60's and 70's) - keep it rockin'

He hasn't been and so is on the process of transferring his apps and plugins to @Adriano Faria, who certainly is supportive. Funnily enough, this particular app appears to have been transferred to Adriano's care on the few minutes since you posted this. 🙂

@Greek76 Are you using the Pages app?  It would also be useful if you provided a link to your site so we can see what you've done so far.  There are loads of apps in the marketplace that can help you spruce up your homepage.  Here's mine using the Pages app to create a page and then added in some blocks.  https://moviebuffs.org

Interesting points! But what's stopping an anonymous troll / banned member from creating a new Twitter/Gmail account just to join? 😇  The skeptic in me fears that bots and spammers will find new ways to abuse the system regardless 🤦🏼‍♂️

I might agree for those that do not have or the need for solid directional content may accept the what ever it takes attitude to get by to make google happy. Brownie points were never my cup of tea. Good solid content that can be backed up as solid evidence should be the focus of  a forum and leave the loose noise of social media like Facebook.

Sadly that's what attracts people, rather than posting something worthwhile.  But, if that gains traction for a site then it will be seen as a positive in a world where positive has been devolved.  Whatever, the fact is that this is the kind of thing that people want (hell, even desire) and it will be an attraction for those who value quantity over quality.  It would be interesting to have some feedback from site owners when this is added to an upcoming upgrade as what kind of an effect it has on posting levels and the quality of those posts 🙂

That's up to you. I am working on a 'rebuild' method. On upgrade you could choose to run it or not. I'm also seeing if it's viable to add in a time to start awarding from, so you could go back 6 or 12 months and apply awards from then, instead of reaching right back to the start of the site.

Oh yes, definitely. You guys keep revolutionizing your product and make it more and more awesome. 4.5. is already much more superior than any other forum platform out there imo, but 4.6. will leave the competition so far in the dust, that they won''t be visible in the rear view at all 😄
All I can say is thank you to all the Team members for their hard work and keep it up. You guys are amazing. :)

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as it will cause SEO issues. (and when you say site title I'm assuming what appears when you google search)
If you mean just the text that shows up as the name of your site that's some magic CSS voodoo that can be done pretty easily though may be more simply fixed by using a logo.

I like where your head is at!
We actually are embarking on a lot of projects like this, including video content where we explain the emotion of "why" a community leader would do XYZ, and also show an example. The first video will be out very, very soon. They will get better as we move forward and get feedback. 🙂

One of the things I find so frustrating is when I'm not sure how to achieve something I look to the help documents and they are anything but helpful - a great lack of real world examples are missing.  It's good to explain how things work, but it's something else to actually 'show' how they work; I guess it's one of those 'lead by example' situations.
I understand that creating help documents is the not easiest of tasks, but they should begin with the least experienced in mind rather than an assumption that everyone knows how.  Maybe this is something that @Jordan Invision can feed back to whoever is responsible for creating the help documents 🙂

That is music to my ears @Matt so thank you for letting us know that this is on your radar and something that will be coming to the suite 🙂

I use this and it works for the vast majority of the time - sometimes, depending on the website, it just leaves the link in text format, but that's a rare occurrence.  Well worth the asking price and the author is excellent for support 🙂

Davyc got a reaction from Greek76 in Notification of new member
I've looked but can't seem to find anything that resembles a notification when a new member joins.  If there is can someone point me to where it is.  If there isn't, can we have this added to the notification list?  It would be really useful to know when someone new has joined so they can be welcomed and made to feel valued.  It's not always feasible to keep track of new members when you are starting out and it's easy to miss someone.  When members are scarce on the ground for many of us, it would be useful to know when someone joins and have someone reach out to them.
I know there is a widget about members, but it only shows the latest member - if two, three or four join there's no way of knowing unless viewed via the ACP and that's not always practical. I'd like a notification on site and perhaps an email so I know if I'm away from the site for a day or so that someone has joined.
    With thanks 🙂

Thanks you so much for your understanding of this Mayority users needs... Because IPS say us... Hey focus on how to create content that will the key to build your community... So why hundres of us (or just me) have to spend time to search and ask for solution to resolve something so so so little UI issues (someones may say, just do this or that will resolve it, is so easy just search en the community and learn how to do, then you find your own way....), same situation with 3party apps, we have to spend a lot time to explain and elaborate to report bugs or sometimes just a minimum css issue (from coder view)....
As IPS forum follower we can say FB is bad because that and others, bu why mayority people love it (maybe other mayority people don't like it) and FB continue growing?... Out of the box, people just manage it to create content and focus their business, they don't want spend time to say to you... Hey, why so much white space, hey there a bug, hey some UI os ugly or tricky... I have to spend so much time to visit to marketplace to see if some new to make my forum better look or better skills..we already have a company with so good developers and coders of community to help so much.. But then I have to spend so much time to collaborate reporting bugs and suggestions or request.... Finally I learned, try to use what you have now (whatever with so many issues that you don't like it) and spend time on your business, spend a little time to check if there borned some better solutions or platforms...
    So thank so much @Davyc
