Round of applause for adding this to the web hooks. 👏
But let's now talk about a way to configure what is in the payload.
It seems that the new DataLayer feature can toggle elements off we need this sort of thing in the web-hooks so as not not to send PII data to a third party.

A colleague of mine says he has the same behavior as you report, that once inactive they are removed the next day, so this does appear to be working as intended. (It's likely my site needs until tomorrow some time to run the task which removes the one I previously showed in my screenshots.)
I've retitled the topic and left it as a suggestion for a future version; that either they do not automatically get removed, or it be a choice for the site admin.

Nope.  It's still known who sent it even if it's anonymous.  You may be anonymous to the public, but the software knows...  the software always knows!  🙂

In addition I get copies of invoice / renewal emails,
The presentation is terrible for site owner because you are receiving email addressed TO someone else.
I would prefer to get a notification that X party was sent their invoice/renewal email click here if you want to see what it looks like I shouldn't ever have email in my INBOX sent TO someone else.

For a novel of text posted in a forum I would rather opt for something like this, where reader could click and choose to speed read the text.
    https://spritz.com or https://swiftread.com
Alternatively would be cool if you could invoke quickly based on OS the text to speech for it to just read you the post.
Most of these options obviously are not ideal for every post especially with code snippets.

IPS when designing and planning out new feature please consider making such new features more complete by allowing bulk changes in the ACP that users may wish to change to one or more areas.
All too often new features are stored in a bitwise and there is no interface to effectuate a change en mass.
At least for areas like Forums a new feature should include automatic inherence of a setting to all children making the change to a category that will set/reset to all sub forums is by far more ideal making a change to half dozen categories then making one one at a time in over a hundred forums.
Or even if I am deep in to the settings of a forum a set of buttons  > save and go to next forum where it will save the setting and keep me on the same setting page but for the next forum in sequence.
Id also hope for some kind of discovery tool to see at a glance how a setting is set across the site.

Correct and this has been a long time suggestion and find it sad that its still not native since this functionality already exists in the blogs and in the pages CMS. - I have never wanted to create a post and have it "locked" and then "unlock" at a given time - however I have always wanted a way for people to post things that perhaps embargoed for a certain go live date. I hate having to get up at 6am because something has to publish at 9AM Eastern time.

Sometimes an upgrade stops here. Other times I am taken to a page that take me to the suite or to the ACP. What is the reasoning and logic to either approach?

More control over ads, ability to show adverts after post numbers, currently we can only select after the first post.
Instead of relying on mods like this that are now incompatible when it should be in the software already.

Ocean West got a reaction from OptimusBain in Random thoughts about a concept.
In my development with clients (database development - totally different then here ) we have a concept of a Development server and Production server, and we also have a Staging server. With feature requests and bug fixes I work on the Dev server it may have a sample set of data contains all the new schema and logic. Then I can migrate a clone of the Dev version merge it with data from live in to the staging and then have client test, once approved I can move Logic and Schema from the Development to the Production server preserving production data.
So for the past many release cycles things have been pretty solid yet the latest beta and release had some hiccups based on the postings at the time.
I post this in suggestions as I wonder what is "DATA" in our database. There is Structure that we as admins have defined and modified as how our site looks and behaves, we have Content which is uploaded content and data from users. And we have Schema that is part of the core operations.
Would sites be more performant if there were separate databases, for various bits of the site? (it's a different database realm so I am not certain here)
    Would backups be more efficient?
    Test / Production
I would love to see at least Test / Production process on IPS if you announce a new beta or version we could snapshot our current live site over to Test run the updater on Test and if things go belly up it doesn't affect Production. Once we iron out all the kinks or wait for more stability or consume copious amounts coffee, we're confident things are working, we migrate Production site.
The other thing here is we may wish to push out many changes at once vs as you get to them by navigating the ACP.
    Examples:
Create new category or forums move things around add new plugins / applications configure new products configure new payment processors probably more but but you get the idea If there were a way to batch all these changes in to a post update process once complete the live site re-opens.
I only have a small glimpse of how this all works I imagine its like swan on a lake its all pretty above the water line but so pretty below. 🦢 😄
Food for thought and welcome discussions.
