opentype Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 After upgrading to 4.4.2 you might notice that you see less entries or missing parts of entries (like images) in certain areas like Pages feed blocks. This affects stock blocks, but also third-party products. In my case for example SuperBlocks, SuperTopics, SuperList … The change here is that certain queries are now limited to one year, so older content that was shown before might be missing now. IPS made these changes to reduce problems on larger boards. The issue was reported and there might be improvements in the future. But there is not much the providers of third-party templates can do about that. It’s not a bug of these products. If you need certain items to reappear, you could try changing their publishing date.

EmpireKicking Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Doesn't make any difference since I tired it with lazy loading disable

AlexWebsites Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I have a downloads block that is now missing entries. Must be related. Why would IPS do something this major in a maintenance release without warning?

This set for day limit, does not work. I'm waiting for 5 hours to find the IPS solution for my ticket. Too bad execution in this version 4.4.2

Back being serious, all those issues are the reason why I don't upgrade to a new major release too early. There is no loss of articles. But those retroactively more than a year can not be depicted in the widget. For example, I use specific databases in which I only post. I use them to advertise my business ... And it's been created and stacked for 5 years. Now there is almost nothing ... in the widget ... I tried with 1800 days - it does not work, nothing works right ... Complete stupidity created with 4.4.2 ... What does it wait for us in 5.0 - whether to look for another platform ...
EmpireKicking Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 IPS will fix the issue and set it back to how it was. Only way to fix my errors is to post new blogs

I really dislike that limit stuff as well. PM's are like emails. At least they should have added date range option and kept default at 1 year and let user select other options i.e. start and end date selection so any given time it searches within that date range and full table scan will not happen.

I agree with you. Now with these constraints, IPS deprives communities of the past ...
Dll Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Seems pretty ridiculous they'd make these sort of changes without any prior warning or even a mention in the release notes.

Gabriel Torres Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Hi all, I didn't see this topic, so I opened another one, I posted the soltution there for those, like me, need the blocks to pull all data and not only data from the past 365 days.

I also write queries directly against the database to send out newsletters. I've been doing this for many years, I never preview the newsletters. I started getting complaints about porn in the newsletters. Seems it was the new post before registering option. I got the most recent 10 posts. Clearly no one on my site used the option except porn posters, so lucky me, I sent out thousands of emails with porn in them. I had no idea the feature was turned on. I suspect that too was for big boards. I've never seen it asked for here.

Gabriel Torres Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 I can confirm that they released a patch today that solves the issue. Simply click on "Support" inside the ACP to apply it!

Gabriel Torres Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 @Adlago The've just released a new patch to correct all the issues and it is finally working like a charm here.
