Some additional features (Gallery and Downloads) were enabled on my forum yesterday, and we have been experiencing issues ever since. Our other administrator has experience with Invision Community and can't get things working either. We have checked with our hosting provider to make sure there aren't any hosting issues, and they confirmed that for us. We need to get over 3000 unique codes, one to each user in a specific user group. They will be in a CSV or spreadsheet We could put this in a field, or send a PM. Our site is in CIC. What suggestions would you have for doing this? Direct DB access? Get a plug in made? Manual is out, even with ten of us because the codes need to go up with timing to online sales. Thanks JM

Added "Sticky" code to template to keep topic info displayed at all times now members are complaining that it covers too much of the page (especially on smaller tablet screens). Is there a way to reduce the total height of the area (see pic) using CSS? Thanks again for any help with this.

Did a search but did not find what I was looking for. Is there a way to display the "Topic Title" on the page and keep it there while scrolling down to read the replies? I have members "straying" off topic and if the topic title were to be in front of them always maybe they would tend to stay on topic more. Thanks

Around the time that IPB started its tags, I decided to not allow bots to index them. My reasoning was that having bots hitting hundreds, perhaps thousands, of searches per minute would slow things down on my site, and thus be bad for SEO, given just how much Google now weighs site speed into their algorithm for search results. Additionally, given that Google has a "crawl budget" for each site, my thought was that I'd rather have bots focus on indexing the new content, rather than indexing what are simply search results on my site. My decision could be wrong, and perhaps the good SEO from bots clicking on my tags and indexing them might outweigh the bad. My hop…

I am the SysAdmin for a self-host UK forum for self-builders. We are currently doing a platform refresh from a 4-core to a 6-core VPS (mainly because the latter bundle rebaselines to a currently supported Ubuntu LTS version and doubles the SSD storage available). I've just received an email saying that a user is unable to login with his email, because his username is filled in and he can't override it. Has has an invoice to pay. I'm on 4.6.9 The only method enabled for login is display name or email address. When I clicked on his View Order, which was in the email he sent to me, also got this. As admin, would I not actually be able to see his order. I'm concerned that the same may apply to him.

For the last couple of days some spammers from India are bypassing the registration form and, well, celebrate the spamfest. It doesn't make sense to ban them one by one because my community is local and I don't need any traffic from India. Recently I've set the rule that admin has to approve new users but it's not an optimal solution. Can I just restrict access for users from India or from some IP ranges?

Hi everyone, I'd be grateful for some advice with this one. I'm looking to improve the marketplace feature on our current forums. Ideally to make it similar to what might be found on some online classifieds websites like Gumtree or Craigslist. So we'd be talking an image carousel for an ad and enhanced filtering capabilities, maybe based on suggested tags, and automatic notification for saved searches. Hello I'd like to upgrade my forum Invision 3.4.6 to the latest. As I understand it it will cost $150 then $40 every 6 months. Would Invision provide support and troubleshoot during the conversion (including the upgrade to PHP 7) until the new board is up and running ? Thank you

Good morning all, We just had to fire someone from our staff and removed his account from our database. We chose the option to have ALL of the articles he had created to be shown as authored by GUEST. Is there a way we can assign all those authored by GUEST articles to show as authored by a member we specify? Thanks in advance!
