Hi there, Due the problem of spambots that (can) create new members, or real persons from Asian country's try to create spam-posts/topics i've set the new member approval/registration to manual/by admin/mod. The problem/question is, can i get an notification-email if a new member is waiting for approval?

Even after I applied "content types: topic", the result isn't what I wanted....I think when members click Unread content, most of the time they want to see new topic in the community not others replies. (yes, my website is just a forum so no download, product review or other stuff) Anyone knows to how to fix this or it's what IPS intended to be? I have one community which I want to split into 3 websites (not different communities). Since each site is going to be a copy of the org site (without certain apps) I need to retain the existing members on all the sites. Example... 1. Forum Site 2. Blog Site 3. Pages Site Since there is existing content which members are attached too, I have to leave the members on each new site. I would rather have members use one account for all the sites. 1. I'm trying to get rid of the shaded background bar that is showing up behind sub-board lists, lists of online members and a few other places. Red arrows mark the spots showing on the front page of my forum. I'm looking for a way to make the Member Numbers show when a member posts (maybe near his total post count and location in left-hand area), as the disappearance of the Member Number has bothered a number of people on our forum. Thank you to everyone for answering all my questions today! Here's another -- is it possible to remove the light grey color that shows behind the edges of the advertisement area when an ad is not quite the full size? I can have the ads redone to the full size, but they are rather large that way. It would be nice if the ad could center in the space and you could see the sight background behind. Is that possible? Guys is this thing possible? I have a legacy Google Apps (now aka Google Suite) for my forum domain. Can I somehow set up that BULK MAIL sent by IPS software be handled and send by google's email servers instead of php mail of my VDS server? I hope email deliverability would be much more greater and have no problems reaching peoples' inboxes. Any info on that would be appreciated 🙂

I am trying to move the advertisements from just below the header to the sidebar. However, when I click that option and save in ACP, the ads do not show up in the sidebar. I have also checked my lists of available Blocks to add to the sidebar, and there is nothing to do with ads. Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi guys, so since I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.5 all links paste into the posts as hyperlinks. Before links to pictures and youtube were embedded automatically and now they are not. I found one switch in ACP which refers to embedding content, and it's set to on. Did any of you had this problem and how did you solve it? Thanks

Can anyone please help me in setting some strict permission on pages database, either on DB or on page level. I want certain usergroup to add the records, but member who add the record should only view and edit their own records and not everyone records. We're using 4.4.x and contemplating using the subscription system versus the products as subscriptions. The Products as subscriptions with renewals seems a bit more flexible at this point so we're leaning that way. One thing we're trying to figure is how to move users into groups once the product or subscription expires. I can see that the user will be moved into the previous group they had, but we don't know what group they may have had when registering or purchasing the subscription product. Is there a way to automatically move the users into a specific group(s) once their product subscription expires? Or better, an automated system task …

I can't seem to find a way to adjust the color of the Profile Header Background throughout the entire site. Every time you load a different user profile or hover over a member's name, the background of the profile header loads in a different pastel color. I don't get the need for a "mark as read" button, but I do understand that it has more good than bad potential for those who do want it when it's presented as "mark as read" (like the text button under the search bar). What I don't understand, is the need to make the "dots" (icons?) next to forum names act as a "mark forum as read" without any popup window or confirmation dialog. Is there any way to disable that functionality or have it display any kind of dialog? To solution.

Hello, I am using version MySQL v5.5.5-10.4.15-MariaDB-cll-lve. I would like to change the engine of some database columns (1/4 of them are on the MyISAM engine, including posts, topics, statuses, and the remaining 3/4 on InnoDB), so I have questions for you: Can changing these tables delete some data? For example, if we have 3000 posts, it can suddenly become 2980 after conversion?
