Hello!, Ive been trying to make the other admin ranks to be able to replace, delete and edit forum threads. I got the rank "Owner", but when i add a new administrator rank in AdminCP -> Members -> Staff -> Administrator and give them "All permissions" they´re still not able to move threads ?? thanks!.

Just updated, (From .23) to the .26 version and my forums reputation/reactions are missing from all the topics and posts (still available on statuses) Am I missing a setting somewhere? Is it possibly a glitch with a theme I'm using? (Villian 4.x) I've gone through the reactions and reptuation menu as well as the group menu but I can't seem to figure out where they went.

Hello! I'm having some issues with a simple tabbed interface using ips.ui.tabbar. Content loads into my first tab via Ajax just fine, but when I click on the second tab, it appears to be loading, but the broswer then goes directly to the new URL. If I move IPB to /community How do I map the other IPB apps to something like: domain.com/blog/ instead of domain.com/community/blog/ currently I think htaccess is one way, but is there anything natively supported by IPB? --- btw anyone who has latest version, does it give you option to auto get notified on posts you made or reply to.

Hi Everyone I have a question about Clubs Custom fields. My gaming community is divided up into "sections" Land, sea, air, space and fantasy. We have "Clubs" that play in more than one section. I have created a custom field called "Section" and used a Select Box. This I have made filterable and multi option selectable, However when using the block manager to insert a "Clubs" block into the "Section" page eg Air Home Page, the filter fails to find any clubs that have the Air selection when they also have other selections selected, The filter does find the club if only the Air section is selected only. Hello all, I've recently started up a website with invision I've been reading the Help guides which are very useful although I still found myself wondering exactly are databases & when to use databases in the pages section. The way I understand it is a database stores information, should I create a new database for each section of my website IE homepage, articles, forums, resources or just use the same one? I dont understand exactly why I need to link a database with a specific page isn't all the information already stored in a database for my entire site? Thanks for your help!

Hi, For testing & development purposes I'ive tried to create a "sandbox" copy of our community. To do so, I've : . created a second database with a copy of the "online"/production one ; . copied all the IPS files as they were from the "online"/production one; . modified the conf_global.php to set the new sandbox web address/subdomain and of course the new - copied - database ; . modified the .htaccess to match the new domain into the RewriteCond rules. Please advise concerning the following in latest IPB: -reputation system like we had in early versions (maybe that was a mod) where we can react separate post with up/down rep and explanation.. there is also ability to check full list (log) of reputation change; some kind of Trader Feedback System but for regular posts; -in addition to the above - ability to limit number of rep changes per day, I believe it exists in current version; -oldstyle Thank_you mod when post authors can get thanks from users. Another option here - hides with thanks, when you need to give a thankyou before hide will be available for you. Ah?

Hello, I need some guidance on how to optimize my forum for better site speed. I've done some tests and my site is getting low grades for the following things (in the spoiler): I've tried googling for answers but most websites only give solutions for Wordpress sites or static page websites. I can't find anything in reference to IPS forums. Are there any plugins to help? I know Xenforo has a few that optimize images but I haven't seen anything for IPS.

I setup the initial site on 127.0.0.1, and for some reason I had to set the license to this local domain. Why? Why doesn't it just default work at localhost? Anyhow, I need to now transfer the license to another domain. How do I do this? How long does it take? Thanks for your time.
