Hi, I created a database and created some fields. Now I created an a new database entry (in my case one article) and I tried to show a field inside it contents. But when I put {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('template key', 'listing')|raw} in the wysiwyg editor and save it. I will not see the field. I will see that code I entered. What I need to do, to get this code parsed. The same is wit BB Code. It will not parse.

Hello, I wonder how you post HTML code in a thread. Ive seen that you can embed it to iframe but i dont even know how to put the iframe there. When i paste the code in there it just show the code in text. Thanks!:

I upgraded to 4.2.7 yesterday, and today one of my admins (the sites editor) has said that he cannot edit page records. The buttons within the databases ACP listing aren't showing for him. This isn't the case with any other admins, and oddly the admin can use direct links within the ACP to edit records. Likewise he can actually edit and do everything from the front site, it's just these buttons have magically disappeared. I'm wondering if anyone has this issue?

Hello, Not sure if this question is already laying around somewhere, I tried searching it up but every search I did nothing came up. Is it possible to have link that redirects the user to their profile? for example, if Bob is viewing the thread and clicks the link he goes to his profile if Barbra clicks the link shes brought to her page, etc.

Hello all, Currently we have issues importing GIF images larger than 10MB using iMagick, but not with GD. If we switch to GD, multiupload for other formats craps out. Is there a way to import GIF images from imgur to a user's Gallery? Or some other way to do this? Cheers!

Hi All - Just getting started with our forum - I have the forum configured to only show the Sign-in page when you arrive at the forum, as it's a private members-only forum. My question is whether/how I can add some additional text to the sign-in page so that I can describe the forum and provide a link to an external form people can use to request access to the forum (I don't allow registration using the forum software itself as there are manual confirmation steps involved). I recently upgraded my IPS community from 3.x to 4.2. I'm hearing reports from my long-time community members that their oldest private messages are no longer present. Are there limits to the amount of, or age, of PM's? If so, where can I adjust that? I could not find it int he ACP

Right now we're setting up a test site a test.domain.com to get the initial site work done. Once finished we plan to migrate to domain.com. I didn't realize there was a charge for changing the license key domain name, so the first site I setup at 127.0.0.1 to run the software for a bit. Now I've reset the license key (apparently you get one free one) and installed at test.domain.com. I have two questions. 1. When we migrate to domain.com, are we going to have to pay $15 to reset the license again, or will it just work? 2. What do we need to change in the database to make the changes from test.domain.com to domain.com?

Hi, I'm really struggling to try and work out how to use fields in pages app and I'm not finding the documentation very clear. I'm trying to have a select field for when I setup a database record, on selection it will change the value of a piece of code in the record. I've tried asking support, yet here we are. Does anyone know how to move a blog entry to a different blog all together? I get the following screenshot when I try. Does anyone else have the issue? On another site of mine blog entries cannot be relocated to another. The option to move entries within the ACP is absolutely useless.

I have videos for download in downloads app. I’ve been getting hell from folks who have iPhone or iPad. I brought it up here and the general consensus was that the issue was due to wrong format. I NOW have tried every format I can using HandBrake to convert format including “Apple” “legacy Apple” “iPhone” etc MP4, mv4, mov small file size, large file size... makes no difference the videos NEVER play on iPhone. They try for a second then crap out Anybody have any any experience getting videos to play in downloads app? Is it the app itself the issue here?

in downloads app for IPB I have some ".mov" video clips. Users can click download but they NEVER play on iphone or ipad. it just goes right to a black play screen but never plays. (they can be large files in some cases) Any ideas? I really wish there was a way to stream video clips from my IPB community.

I was just told that IPB 4.1.x (I currently have 4.1.19.4) is unsupported and no longer receiving security patches. I was always under the impression that IPB supported the last release for at least 12 months after a new branch was released. Am I mistaken? My understanding is that 4.2.x breaks 4.1.x skins pretty bad so I would need to do a full regression test board for this upgrade -- which I consider a major upgrade not a routine .x.x upgrade (hence the old version should still have have security support releases but not feature releases).

Hi, I would like to cancel my cloud subscription, but to also be given a full backup of all the files. I can't afford invision, but may offer the files to a forum member to see if he wants to try and migrate to open source. I've paid up to 27th January but don't want to pay any further than this. Don't seem to be able to find the cancellation option in the client area? Thanks.

I have a member who's account credit is out of control? Anyway to limit the amount of credit they can accumulate in their Commerce account? Need this individual to withdrawal as the number they have as account credit is becoming scary high. I’m not a bank and this is too much in their account advice? I’d like a little warning system when they log in nudging them to withdrawal

Hi Anyone know how I can get only my "downloads" app running on a subdomain? Still working in sync as designed with my installed IPS package of course. All parts of my IPB package should work as standard setup with exception being subdomain for downloads app only. Is this possible?

I have an "About Me" page on my website which is in a DB called "About LiquidFractal." I've noticed that when this page is viewed, the generated page title is "About X - About LiquidFractal - LiquidFractal," following a Record>DB>website format. Could someone please tell me how I can customise the display template so that just the record title displays for the HTML title, i.e. "About X"? This isn't only cosmetic, as I know that Google will sometimes penalise code which needlessly repeats keywords. Incidentally, this also happens in the Who's Online view, where someone will be listed as "Currently viewing About X - About LiquidFractal - LiquidFractal," so…

Hello. I wonder it is possible to “lock” topic for guests? For example the forum is open for guests, they can see/read topics, but maybe its possible to make just some topics locked for unregistered users? I DON’T WANT TO HIDE IT FOR UNREGISTERED USERS, I want that they can see it, but when they try to enter they need to get message like “You need to register to view this topic” (or smthg like that) Maybe it’s its possible with standard ipb functions? Or there is some plugins? Thank you.
