Introducing Spam Monitoring Service Just read this and it sounds like a really good idea, that you can enable or disable if you choose to. I am sure this is going to be a great benefit to forum administrators and am looking forward to seeing this in action

Good chance you guys probably have been asked this, but maybe with the option of your Facebook status going to your IPB Status... why not Twitter status onto IPB? I know that Twitter is very easily integrated with many things, and even most common-day programmers are able to do stuff with Twitter. May be a nice option to look into it! Other than that, love 3.0. Hate the design of it (but that is why we can make skins, right? ;)). Keep it up IPB.

As I'm totally reliant on organic search engine traffic, I've been keen to get my hands on the new IPB 3 and have been closely watching the development of it over the last year or so... and after some hiccups, IPS have put together a functional set of SEO measures. I have 8 tickets with no answer with the following period of time: 3h, 4h,5h, 15h,2 days,2 days, 7days, 7days Is the tickets system functional or it's locked, I am amazed that I got no answer at a least 1 ticket. PS:I hope I get here some answers, I think Client Area support is dead. Best regards!

Hi IPS Can I ask if someone can have a look at my follow up to Ticket #588048 please. My upgrade is sitting incomplete and although I responded as soon as you guys left my site, the ticket questions remain unanswered. Can I also suggest that before commencing Customer Upgrades that a check should be made to ensure the host server is compatible. Not all of us are savvy on these things which is why we engage support. Wondering if there could be a slight change to the ACP / System / Rebuild area. It tells you that you only need to run the tools if you are upgrading to IPB3 and once you run the tools, it gives you something similar to the following:

Hi All ^_^ I have an old forum that seriously needs upgrading, so when I logged in in my downloads section I can only see an upgrade path from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6. I couldn't find the files required to upgrade all the way from 2.3.4 to 3.0.1. Am I missing something? If someone could be so kind to point me to the right files that would be fantastic as I don't really want to do a clean install to 3.0.1 and lose all my members and posts...

In my short experience with IP, I've submitted two tickets, one took about a day for a response IIRC, and my current one has been left open for 36 hours with no response. When I was with vBulletin, they would promptly reply to my ticket within an hour every time. I'd just like to express my overall unhappiness with the extremely poor handling of tickets with this company.

Reputation very needs two another settings: [*]If "reputated" posts are deleted, reputation should be updated: YES/NO [*]Select category where members are unable to use reputation Example: my member started topic in test category and she got four negative points (it was joke from other members). Her reputation is now affected, she has -4 for topic in test category! I deleted topic but her reputation is still -4. There is little flame war about this on my board, I had to disable negative points for now.

Hi, When the 3.0 version was released, I had big hopes that IPB would fully support multiple languages. Despite the great enhancements released : multi date/numbers support , no more texts in images, and language edition in ACP, there are still places in IPB that are one-language only. Here are the texts that still cannot be translated for each languages: - Help files - custom fields titles & description - members rank titles - user groups titles Do you plan to fix this soon? would be a great feature especially for small boards, where not too often someone is registering, for admins who validate themselves all users... it is my case, anyway... is difficult to know when someone is awaiting... only I receive notification on email, not all admins... perhaps you can notify all. or make something to view them, without entering acp.

I know the latter isn't fully relevant to IPS and their product IP.Board, however it really is in the company's best interest to make sure every installation is running at its peak efficiency. Matt, et al, How on earth is this an upgrade to the 2.X software? Slower load times, functions that are poorly placed, don't work properly, over all much like the MS release of Vista. Sure it LOOKS cool, but it by far harder for an existing average "user" to use. I am honestly trying to find ANYTHING compelling to cause me to WANT to upgrade my board to 3.X and I have been an IPB customer for over 4 years. Please give me a reason to like 3.X, I havent found one thing yet.

Hi, How can I translate pahrases in IPB3 that includes links and other formatted texts? When I used HTML tags they appeared as part of the text. And something else. I'm not sure if it's a bug, if it is I will report it on the tracker. When i translate something in the language files manually (so not in the admin area), and upload the file via FTP, in the file translate area of the administration the change don't appear (the text box next to the translated text is empty). is it supposed to be this way, or is it a bug? Thanks

I upgraded successfully this morning from 2.3.6 to 3.0.1. I would like to thank Invision and the admins who upgraded before me. Reviewing the bugs in the tracker made me aware of certain pitfalls which I avoided. I opened a forum on my board just for Q and A about the new functionality and so far, not one question. I know they will come. Again thank you Invision and thanks to the members here who have upgraded before me.

Have a look at the image below: As you can see it says there are 4 new entries. Is it possible to have it expanded so it informs the user there are x number of new entries in which field rather than having to individually click on the tabs to find out there is a new item? Even having a little icon/mark on each tab to identify that it has new content there would be really handy. I also noticed under the Members tab after clicking (Mark all items as read) does not mark all new members as having been read. Is this a bug or meant to be as it is now? Ted.
