Community Content System

Is it like the IP Dynamic you were going to release?

Is it basically the same thing?

Fundamentally, they are quite different. CCS will be an application for IP.Board, while Dynamic was a stand-a-lone application. CCS also is purely for content (at least in this 1.0 version) while Dynamic had a myriad of other features which are not needed as they are already in IP.Board (for example, Dynamic had Personal Conversations, which is now in IP.Board 3).
But of course, there are similarities in that they are both content creation systems :)

IP.Dynamic was incorporated into IP.Nexus some time ago. For the Community Content System, there is a whole other topic discussing it here. Sorry to backseat moderate :(.

But this Soulja doesn't have access to that forum ;)

Not likely your purchase won't be approved until morning as the office is closed right now. :)

well it's morning here now ;) In any case your group won't change unless you log out and back in again

So is this a CMS for IPB then?

The term "CMS" has many connotations and implications, which is why we aren't directly calling it a CMS. However, CMS stands for "content management system" and indeed CCS is designed to allow you to manage content for your website. So, take that for what it's worth. ;)

The main focus of CCS was to provide an extremely simple user interface to create content (while still leaving powerful capabilities in place for those that know what they're doing), and integrate it with IPB. You'll be hearing more about CCS soon when we start posting some blog entries about it.

This could be interesting.

Sounds good

maybe

Charles, why are your blogs not appearing on your forum tab?

The blog I'm posting under is actually "owned" by the IPS News account.

Well, you guys are coming up with everything I had been asking from Vbulletin which they promptly refused.

Good job.

Great to see, from what I have read and seen this is going to be pretty awesome thumbsup.png

Any updates on this? :)

A few blogs followed the announcement and we haven't heard anything since.

I think they are waiting for 3.0.1 to be released and then will be making an annoucement about it.

We're focusing on 3.0.1 at the moment, but you'll hear more about it soon.
