Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
Australia4WD Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Hi IPS Can I ask if someone can have a look at my follow up to Ticket #588048 please. My upgrade is sitting incomplete and although I responded as soon as you guys left my site, the ticket questions remain unanswered. Can I also suggest that before commencing Customer Upgrades that a check should be made to ensure the host server is compatible. Not all of us are savvy on these things which is why we engage support. At the moment I am not sure what I can or cant do, my board is a shambles with a skin that is half Default, half IPS Pro, None of my components work, half my ACP wont open, and there are skin cache errors appearing everywhere Thank You, and I'm happy if you delete my post after reviewing my ticket.
Management Matt Posted July 23, 2009 Management Posted July 23, 2009 Hello, I see that it's been just over 90 minutes since Larry's last reply. I'm sure he will get back to it ASAP but he's in the middle of another upgrade. Needless to say we won't leave you like this for long.
mld11 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 You do know you can run the 'check_requirements.php' in the Tools directory of your IP.Board 3.0.x file download. Just upload it to the server and check if your host/server is missing some of the requirements. (Upgrade shouldn't have worked if you are)... As for the other errors, goto Support and run the Diagnostics Checker on your database, and make sure nothing in your database is corrupted. After that, run the Permissions Checker to make sure every file/folder specified is readable and writable. Uhm... In System, click Cache Management, then "Recache All". If you are still having skin issues, recache the skin in your Look & Feel, then if your STILL having issues, find a way to reinstall the default skin, or even revert all customizations (goes to default ips pro).
Management Matt Posted July 23, 2009 Management Posted July 23, 2009 And I've replied to your ticket.

Thank you Matt (and Larry) it has actually been over 4 hours, but thats okay, I just needed to know the status of the specif questions) in my ticket. Happy for thread to be deleted [quote name='Dark Slipstream' date='23 July 2009 - 06:33 PM' timestamp='1248334419' post='1831373'] You do know you can run the 'check_requirements.php' in the Tools directory of your IP.Board 3.0.x file download. I did do that when the check script was released some months back, but since then my host did have me at MySQL version 4.1.22-standard and PHP version 5.2.6 which both meet the minimum requirements, I thought I would now be okay I have no idea about PHP SPL extension and the DOM XML Handling extension
Management Matt Posted July 23, 2009 Management Posted July 23, 2009 It's very unusual to have those two missing from a standard PHP install, but there you go. We've seen odder things. In any case, I'm dealing with this issue now and have just updated you again. I'll close this topic as it's run its course and thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.
