I would like to see the option or the ability to have several IPB accounts while just using one email address. I develop sites and sell them and like using IPB as the forum software, however I don't want to tie all the licenses to one account since you would have to sell the whole account instead of a license individually. This would allow me to manage and re-sell accounts (with sites) a lot simpler and easy to manage, making these the easy way of selling turn key solution sites.

Where can we download it, is it finalized, etc? I checked my account, can't find any links to download it. Wasn't it supposed to be finalized a while ago? Just curious :)

As shown on many high traffic sites nowadays, the nav bar (header) extends onto the second line, and makes everything look like crap. I don't mean make a crappy looking scroll bar, but something cool that only appears if the header expands past someones screen resolution. If you use 800x600 screen resolution, you know what I mean. That, and the ACP Restrictions tab. It's even worse, because of the even further limited room. Just thought it would be a good idea. CrC...

OK guys, I am currently running a vbulletin forum with a professional design set. My first and foremost worry about moving over to invision was the design of my forum. My thought behind this is that it is going to be a big enough move over to invision as it stands without the fact that the forum will look completely different. NOW, bare in mind I only purchased invision less than 24 hours ago. I have almost managed to duplicate the look of my forum with only a very very basic knowledge of CSS and some knowledge of photoshop. How have I done this? I would seriously urge you to have a good read through the topic on this forum http://www.smartestcomputing.us.com/index.php…

Hello, I think that IP modding community needs more attention from the official IP staff. You need to redesign the community resources site to make it easier to navigate through, especially for none members and try to encourage people to create plugins for IPB. The size and activity of the modding community is an important criteria in selecting a forum script.

I don't know why nobody recommended it before but why there isn't option to also host signatures on same server as forum. There is no point of having really fast server when I need to wait users sigs to load from bad image hosting services. And every day there are more and more that kind of services, first that comes to my mind is imageshack which most of time is super slow or it timeouts. With that option it would be easier to control size and dimensions of signatures.

I'm currently testing out IPB3 with a few people and one thing I really wanted to do was comment/reply on a member status but couldn't. This is hugely popular on Facebook, so I suspect that's why I just instinctively looked for somewhere to be able to do it. Also perhaps status messages (and their comments/replies) could be archived (when updated) in the users profile comments. Perhaps archived status's could have a prefix "Status update:" and be highlighted by a different colour (like blog authors who post a comment on their own blog entry). I don't know how difficult this would be to implement but I sure would like to see it :)

Could there be an feature in the Security Center of IP.Board that allows an administrator to hide the ACP Link from PHP Errors? It's kind of redundant when you get one and almost all the time it shows the acp directory. What's the point in renaming it if all someone has to do is stick around and wait for an error.

In IPB3 the PM popup is very messy whenever you receive a new message, it looks like a jumbled mess of letters and words, here is a few suggestions to tidy it up a bit: 1. Implement a character limit for PM popups, freely adjustable from the ACP. 2. Parse emoticons, BBcode, new lines, and line breaks in PM popups or at least add an option to enable/disable these formatting options. Another thing is I spent over a month trying to figure out how to change the amount of images to be displayed on the board index for the hook Gallery images on index. I finally figured out that I needed to manually download and edit the hook file. Perhaps adding an option in the ACP for t…

Has anybody suggested or asked about this before? Most large hosting companies offer reseller accounts which widens their range and further reduces the effort of managing their hundreds and hundreds of customers. Would it make sense if IPS offers some kind of reselling account that includes all products and the hosting service? I know IPS can already manage all customers but based on the vB meltdown, i think there will be more and more customers coming and purchasing your products. It would also be great if the reseller gets something special like cheaper licenses or extended renewal dates. Post your opinion. :D

I think it'd be useful if, in the Resources, we had a downloads category for modifications to third party software to integrate with IP.Board (such as login modules for other apps to connect them to IPB)

I can fix these myself easy enough, but I thought you should know about this for version IPB 3.0.5 You have 4 files that show whitespace when the white-space tool checker is run. /ips_kernel/facebook-client/jsonwrapper/jsonwrapper.php has whitespace at the beginning or end of the file /ips_kernel/facebook-client/jsonwrapper/JSON/JSON.php has whitespace at the beginning or end of the file /ips_kernel/facebook-client/jsonwrapper/jsonwrapper_inner.php has whitespace at the beginning or end of the file All 4 files have a blank space after the last closing PHP "?>" at the very bottom of each file. Sinmply delete that line space to fix it in them all.

The my messenger is not working when I click on it link on my website using IPBoard 3.0.4 this is what it says: There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here How can I fix this error?

Is there any reason, why was it set this way? On my laptop, I use BBCode editor, which actually writes all tags in uppercase letters. When I try to post any text formatted like that, it won't parse. Surely, I found a fix, by going to ACP>Custom BBCodes and I added uppercase tags in " Custom BBCode Aliases (Optional)", for couple of tags, I'm using right now. But, I really don't want to through every single BBCode, adding uppercase options. I could also switch to different BBCode editor, which uses lowercase tags, but I think, this issue should be simply adjusted in IPB ACP.

I spent money and time trying to get IPB & CCS to work. But people with very little knowledge and trying to looking the documents on how to do things is not here IPB. The best suggestion are to click on the help and look through the IPB forums. Problem with help files is that many or not even there for the help function to work and for the boards they don't answer your questions when your trying to work on something but have to wait to get feedback if any and the question you want may even not be close to what a person is trying to ask. I believe a book needs to be made or a manual need to be put out. I'm just sad that IPB don't think that is worth the way. But to tel…

- remove that confirmation page when we submit tickets. We are expected to press twice on submit button to send ticket through, i know it happened to me a lot of times that i just forget about this unique case and just close the windows after first click. - that being said create some faq page where those articles are shown. - http://www.invisionpower.com/customer/ this link somehow is missing when you open that page :) When you open invisionpower.com there are 6 elements and when you open customer page there are 5(link for the actual customer page is missing) - when we are receiving email regarding IPS support making reply in our ticket we have all the info we need…

Okay, I'm sure you guys have all seen endless topics about this, but this is a serious question, disregarding the recent news of vBulletin 4, why should I switch to IPB? What coding advantages do I have here? I already know the vBulletin backend and frontend as if it were on the back of my hand. How easy would it be to learn how to code for IPB? I would like to see some actual answers. No trash talk, no bullcrap. Serious answers. Thanks Edit; Wow, no comments so far? No attempts of even saying a few features that IPB has that vB doesn't? How about I make this request simple, what learning curve would I have to learn to integrate pages and create modifications for…

Well sort of ... I have bought invision LOL .. I want to leave feedback in here in the same way as I would on the vbulletin licenced user area... Truthfully For anyone who is currently a vbulletin licence holder and has been reading over there, you know what it has been like. I have purchased my software here, they have had email issues, high telephone volumes, site being swamped with questions etc etc ...... So here is my purchase: Step 1: I had a query regarding pricing, and therefore emailed the sales team here at invision. A few hours later I recieved an email from their exchange saying that it was undeliverable. Now my first thought was "here we go again, they…
