The old method doesnt work anymore . So,It would be nice IPS implement in future version a place in the template skin,(for ex: an empty hook siderbar) where to put our customized IP.Content blocks on siderbar of the board index. Thank you!

It would be nice to be able to see when a user is online you could click on a icon to chat now with them. Example, click a chat now button and a pop-up would appear on the user being requested to chat that says something like "Member xxx wishes to chat with you now." Regards

Hello dewdz and dewdettez! I have problems with links on IPS forums: upon clicking the link, the new tab opens but it's blank. It only works if I manually copy & paste the link. It happens for outside links as well as IPS links (like Client Area, MarketPlace etc). I'm using FF 3.6.12 Not much of a "serious" issue but just wanted to let you know! ;)

Hello, I have spent 150$ on the software, and I would expect better support for such a price. ATM a member who is tagged as "banned" can still have their profile accessed by other members who click on their username and select to view their profile. Can we remove this for banned members please so that once someone is marked as banned, their information is no longer publicly visible. Thanks, Shaun :D

Would it be possible (in a future version, of course, unless it's something you can throw in easily enough) to make the 'report a post' feature use the javascript popup class? If you go into a topic and report the post, when you hit 'back' you get directed back to the page that actually sends the report, and the report gets sent again. If you could just popup a form where you could report the post, the 'back' button will then really go back again. Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought that the preview board did do it in a popup way back when.

Hello, I'm curious to know if you guys have been working on improving the functionality of the converter scripts. We've been planning a large move from vBulletin to IPB for a couple of months now. We have a forum with 90,000 members, 110,000 topics and 1.44 million posts. Currently it takes nearly 4 days to convert using moderate hardware. It would be an absolute wonderful and useful feature if you were to allow an initial bulk import which can be done before the actual sites are moved over. Then once we're all setup and ready to go, we can synchronize the new posts, threads and members, etc that have been added since the bulk import. Please let me know if you …

If hook contains some tables and IP.Board creates them during it's install, there will be a problems with upgrading and re-installing of this hook. Because as for now deletion of this hook also means a dropping it's database tables, which means loosing all user-created data. There must be an option to do not drop any MySQL tables in common with hook deletion. For example, this is actual for at last 2 hooks you can find in my signature. Uninstalling Multiava hook will drop all custom avatars, uninstalling Meta Everywhere hook means loosing all custom meta data. Even if you are doing this just for upgrade.

Why do the alternate contacts not have the ability to create or respond to trouble tickets when one is created for a hosting or product account?? I have an alternate contact for a hosting package and if the owner creates a ticket and does not know how to respond to the tech's questions, I like to help out. But I am not allowed to join in the conversation on the ticket because, alternate contacts do not have permission. What's up with that??

Hello! I am wondering if this is something to be considered in future versions of IPB, the option to have an on hover description for forums and topics. It would save a ridiculous large amount of space and the forum will look way cleaner. Thanks in advance.

Instead of giving the option to the members to add the date or not, they should be able to add the date like they do now but also have the ACP set if the age is going to be shown or not. You may want to not show your age at the member level or show it if you don t mind but the admin may need to know your age and if you remove your year of birth the admin will not know the age. To solve that you could add a checkbox in the calendar/birthdays setting to let the admin(s) decide if they want to hide the age. Then the individual users would be able to override that in their profile with a checkbox saying: Show Age The admin sets globally to now show age just name and the …

Hi there It doesn't seem to be a current feature on the site, it seems that you can only choose either to promote once a user reaches a certain amount of posts or after a certain amount of time. I would like to request a way of using both rules at the same time, Ie. the user gets promoted if they get 250 posts and/or they have been on the site for 6 months or more. I think this would be extremely useful! :) Cheers Steve

Small suggestion: I think it would be a nice feature to have an option to exclude certain groups (just with a group select form in the settings) from having their birthdays shown on the board index. :)

Been thinking about this for a while... It would be good if there was an option not to display birthdays for members who`s last activity has been over x months etc (to have x months adjustable obviously and a global on / off switch) Im thinking that members who havent been online for more than say 6 months, theres litle point in displaying a birthday for them :) Any comments ? :unsure:

Very minor suggestion here, it would be nice if the Change Profile Information page of the My Settings section, where it gives the actual content of the custom profile fields for users to fill in, listed the custom profile field groups these fields were in. I have a set of custom profile fields I use for customer info (FTP/ACP/etc.) that the group name indicates they are private, but there isn't any indication of this fact on the page where people set these.
