I really like the implementation of topic preview in 3.2 (a great improvement over 3.1) but would you consider moving the positioning of it to the left of the topic title please? If you're using a trackpad, it's a pain to be hovering over a title that you're wavering between clicking and previewing, deciding that you want to preview it and then have to move your cursor a fair distance over to the right (probably triggering the preview icon in the row above or below in the process) All of the things that an average user is likely to want to click in the forum view are the left side of the screen (topic title, jump to first unread post button) so from a usability perspect…

When I receive a "New Registration" e-mail notification, I need to login to the admin page, click "click to review" the accounts pending validation, select the user to approve, and approve it. I think it would be simpler if I could just click a link in the e-mail without logging in. I would operate similar to how e-mail address confirmation processes typically work, where the link contains a unique token. It doesn't have to be very secure since the approving accounts feature is optional anyway. I mention this because I was once on a trip for a few days and received some New Registration e-mail notifications, but I had trouble logging in with my blackberry web browser…

Okay there is a post about stuff IPB left out hopefully they may fix some of it back. BUT, on to green things, not were using IPB and see the features so far. (I read somewhere there is still something "special" still to come that not in the code yet, maybe adding it with the module system they put in to place with IPB). So what are the "cool" features that will be coming out that you like so far?

Hi, Currently the choice for posting prefixes is Disabled Admin Anyone Which is a little limited, as I do not wish to give everyone the right everywhere otherwise they will become meaningless. It would be nice if we could choose one or more groups and allocate one or more forums for these. For example mods and staff should be able to set prefix on any forum and anyone on selected forums. Thanks.

Not sure how easy this would be to do but If a member has permission for a forum and follows a few topics and then looses permission shouldn't that member also no longer receive notifications from followed topics?

Hi, in the forums-sourcefiles there's defined a function renderEntry that takes in an databaserow of an topic and then returns a new/updated array that also include additional information on whether it's read etc. I was hoping to find a similar method in the Tracker-source code that I could use, but I can't find anything like it. It looks like everything related to the Tracker-parsing is placed inside the doExecute-method in ../tracker/modules_public/projects/issues.php Could you make this into it's own method that could be used by other files in IPB?

At present the search seems to be in AND mode - where each word searched for must be present. Is there an option to change this behaviour to OR mode, so that search will show results for any of the words searched for? Cheers, Shaun :D

In the ipb 3.2 preview board, it was proposed two alternatives to the current icon "Like this" (one with a thumbs up and another with a heart). Is it possible to have these two icons too, maybe just as a download in the "ips marketplace"? :)

I would like to use IP chat on my website but the pricing has stopped me from doing so since it was released. Chat would be used once a week on my site. Cuyrrently I don't know how successful it would be but I would guess that 50-75 users would use it, on two or three days each month. That would mean I'd have to buy the 250 online users package which is too much for me (considering all other costs I have to pay). Have you not thought of offering an average online amount price structure? As chat would be offline on my site most of the time. (I feel it can be detrimental to the forums if always available)

Would it be possible on the Hook Create page to have two website links? One for your support page and one for an upgrade page. So if you have your version checking script working correctly and it shows a new upgrade you can have it take the person right to the new download.

First off I will say I love 3.2 and cant' wait to use it... but the style does need a little love to make it better imo.... 3.1 had such nice rounded corners etc... now 3.2 has a mix of square and some round.. just doesn't fit imo. Anyway here are some shots after about 5 minutes playing with it, I will be doing this to all of my sites and I wish it was the default look as its' much more pleasing to the eyes. Before After

I would like to suggest to not show the 'mark forum as read' link in the forum (topic-list) view, if the board has just been marked read. Makes no sense to have the link there then is it? :smile: Thanks!

Since I see you lurking around Rikki I was going to provide some feedback regarding the mobile skin. I notice that on topic view when you make it all the way to the bottom of a topic there is no link to go back to the topic list index. I know I could press the back button but then the topic list would be outdated which would take an extra 'click' to refresh. I could also scroll to make it to the top and then press the link to get back to the forum but that takes more time. Would you consider adding the "<- 'Link To Forum'" that is at the top to the bottom as well? The logging in screen has no option to log in anonymously. P.S. Please add the Windows Phone us…

I get a fair number of tickets about this.. When local mods have permission to report spammers, flag as, I mean.. The only get the little 'flag as spammer' icon in the mini profile. When it comes to spam.. Even with local mods.. If they have permission to flag.. Shouldn't they be able to do it globally? I mean, if I'm mod of forum A, and I see an obvious spam post in Forum B... I don't know.. WE might get tickets if it works the other way.. Might be best as is.. But, I'd think if you want someone to be able to flag as spammer, they could flag them, whether they've posted in the forum you're a mod of or not.. I know you can still do it.. Just saying..

Durring language file upload i get error message: An error occurred while attempting to upload the language pack. my php settings are: max_file_uploads: 20, max_post_size: 64. What can be the problem ? I'm trying to upload polish language pack to version 3.1.3. Any idea whay and how to correct it? My IP. looking at the php sql for searching it looks like img|quote|code|html|javascript|a href|color|span|div|border|style are invalid search terms: what if i the forum is about javascript and I was searching for javascript in my search term. in such event "javascript code" is invalid term... how would users ever return a result?

1. Will the documentation be improve to reflect the current them of the new board as in layout and presentation? 2.
