Hello, It would be nice to have a feature where you post something in forums or blogs and you think some of your friends might like your article so you tag him and when your friend gets online he will get a notification than a friend tagged him. What do you think?

The one item which was removed in 3.0 that all my members really want back is the ability to backup selected or all of their private conversations. It has been a struggle for some who do business and have to back them up one at a time to an email. Is this something that is in the works or is it not possible? ( I've been looking through the forum and can't find a proper solution. If anyone knows of one that already exists, please point me in that direction. )

Is there a setting so after a new member joins your forum, by default his profile settings are set to receive email notifications on threads he starts, or replies too as default setting already set?

I think it would be a good idea if we were able to search for text in the templates, (say a find icon). At the moment I have to copy and past all of the template text into UEStudio so I can find text, and replace it, then copy and paste it all back. Surely there must be a better way, just a suggestion, I hope you will consider it. Thanks for looking.

I thought it would be great to list the features we admins are missing most in the current versions of the IP products. I would like this thread to have the below rules so that it is easy to read and understand your priorities. That's why please let us follow the rules below: 1. Let us list maximum 4 features we are missing most 2. Let us list them by priority 3. Let us have only 1 line of text for each Let's go! 1. Global Message - fully configurable 2. Advanced Ads Functions - e.g. Side banner 3. LinkedIn Integration 4. Reward System – for members’ activity

I saw this in a support topic and then I thought it might be useful for some communities to be able to easily re-order multiple announcements. I was sort of thinking of a drag option in Manage Announcements so you could re-order them, potentially useful for where multiple ones are shown in one (or all) forums.

Can ignored posts be expanded to collapse quoted text from ignored members? To illustrate, I ignored Yalla Group for testing purposes, but a quote still showed his post: Can this text also be collapsed? Otherwise, how useful can it be to ignore people if their text will still show up in topics when quoted?

I have a question, why is HTTPS only the login? I'm not real familiar with HTTPS, but I noticed vBulletin has it on their entire site. Does it make the server slower, or is it not worth doing the entire data protocol? If there's only positive it can do, why not add it to IP.Board or have a more advanced HTTPS settings module.

I am starting to see the power of the banner management but how about adding locations in the chat, blogs, calendar, members, articles, etc? It would be even better if you added a sidebar to the whole suite, and had ad locations in there too. I'm thinking you would be VERY popular! :)

So, I've noticed this, if you report mark a user as spam (at least in 3.1.4) via ACP, it does NOT change the group they are in even if you opt to ban them. At least with the methods I'm using anyway.. I'd imagine it would be slightly more productive to move them to a new user group automagically .. That or have spam members migrated to their own specific group as soon as flagged. E.g Member 1 = Seen as good > Group 1 Member 2 = Seen as spam > Group 2, hidden by default from all views out side of ACP Member 3 = Manually banned > Group 3, default Ban Settings and view filters applied

I've never understood the point of these types of pages. http://community.invisionpower.com/forum/180-invision-power-services-inc/ No additional information is shown than appears on the main index. I honestly can't think of any use. Why not just remove that page altogether? Especially considering IPB's recent stance on removing bloat.

Seeing that you either have to create an identical admin group or do it individual(which can be a pain sometimes), I think that adding your permission sets function to work as an ACP only function would be a great idea. That way you can create a set, lets say, Full Admin and Basic Admin. You can then edit the permissions with the easier setup and assign those admin permissions to users and it makes for an easier job if you have many groups accessing it and you want different access levels. -Austin

We use SSL for login, but the only way to do it for registration is to make the entire site run using SSL. This adds to server resource consumption and creates problems for serving Google ads. Added to that is the fact that Nexus is not really ready for SSL yet (I'm told that's in the pipeline), using SSL site-wide not an option. Just as we like to protect passwords during logins, so should we protect personally identifiable or private information like dates of birth and email addresses, not to mention the initial password. The password reset form should also be made available under SSL as well

Got this when I clicked on 'Post'. The response was added successfully, but I had to force a refresh of the topic to see this. Using Google Chrome on Win7 64 bit.

Can we simplify the look of new tracker little bit? http://community.inv...g-through-tags/ I created/opened above issue. bfarber replied. Now under that I was actually seeing my first post which was same as first and which I even didn't posted. Now, I replied. Then it again moved that copied replies at the bottom. ----- There is new issue confirmation. But it doesn't say who confirms or not? Anyone can click yes and no. If it could say which user confirms it and if developer needs some more info they can ask to them but in our case, it's anonymous confirmation? --------- Why is the reply button on top? Thanks

"Logged in as Katsuma (Switch or Log Out)" Switch - Sends the Admin(s) or Moderator(s) to the ACP Log In Page Log Out - Sends Admin(s) or Moderator(s) to the Forum's Main Page Currently, when one logs out, they are sent to the ACP Log In Page and will not a have a link to go to the forum so at times must open the ACP Log In Page in a new tab or window so that the forum can be in view. Mobile devices without the tabs and multiple windows features could benefit.

There's a check box to set the first tag as the topic prefix, but what if your first tag isn't the one you want as the prefix? Then you have to delete all the tags before it, then re-enter them afterwards. Simple enough: you should be able to drag and drop tags.

With Google taking pageload into consideration for ranking web pages, and users wanting faster and faster page load times, I believe it is critical that IPS integrate native CDN support. MaxCDN has expressed support via their twitter account: @maxcdn I ask that IPS take their message serious and reach out to them!

I think there should be the option to have the chat block above the forums, like the shoutbox mod.

1. Closing time for poll. 2. If a tie exists upon closing time, option to keep open until tie is broken. 3. "Who Voted" info for admins for non-public polls. Polls are great for forum contests (voting for the best entry, etc.), but they are tough without these options. Thanks!

I'm a bit irritated that entering a status update in the popup takes you to your profile (off the page you're on). I would much prefer it to send the status update on the background, and if on the board index update the status hook. A way to edit the status updates would also be a plus. I'd really like to be able simply correct stuff like changing "it's" to "its" where appropriate.

When I multi-quote posts for reply, the order of those posts in the text area are somewhat back to front. In the thread, I choose two posts to quote. Post 1 - multiquote Post 2 - multiquote But in the text area... Post 2 quote Post 1 quote Not sure if this is as intended, but it doesn't make much sense to me for it to be happening that way. Thanks

The current week view has not a static seo link or am I wrong? I would like to add a "latest week view" link within the top navigation. Is there a way to do that using the upcoming IP.Board 3.2?

Hello, I am impressed with the improvements/innovations IPS made to the overall core system. Moreover, I am looking forward to see how new versions of IP.Nexus, IP.Content, and IP. Downloads will enhance the overall developer and user experience. However, I do have some feedback in regard to the current "License Key Missing" message. In fact it is quite obnoxious for us licensed/legitimate users when it is obstructing system generated messages (often one cannot read system generated notifications due to the red banner that is overlaying the actual message). Especially when one is developing on a development board which is fully compliant with the TOS/ License agre…

I know this is a much requested feature, but is there any chance that the lightbox in 3.2 could respect the user's screen size and limit itself accordingly please? E
