I don't know if this is a bug or a hidden permission I just cannot seem to find, but whenever you are logged into a member account you are able to see the whole forum. But when you are viewing as a guess you only see a few of the forum sections even though they have permission to see them all. This was after I upgraded a test site from 3.4.7. Has anyone else had this problem? Edit: Yes I have finished the background task Seems now when I went on the group permission and edited it to the same permissions they were I get this when a guest views. Sorry, there is a problem Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: EX0

Would just like to send a quick, public thanks to @Lindy for recent support via the Client Area. I had a fairly uncommon request and it was generously fulfilled by Lindy without question, which is quite rare to see these days with large companies. All tickets were answered promptly, and issues were prevented before arising in the first place, so thanks again.

I have tested using google responsive ads in the header and footer but it pushes the page out wide when reducing the size of the screen. This does not happen on my wordpress sites. Am I missing something?

At the moment the admin notification on user registration is fairly limited and only emails on registration – not activation. It would be much better if we could set it to only email when there were admin validations pending rather than every time a new user registered. Likewise, it would be good to also include method of registration somewhere (e.g. tapatalk, web, twitter, facebook etc…)

Since I usually have multiple ACPs open during testing, is there an easy way to change the title of the ACP in the upper-left corner from IPS Community Suite to something else.? Under 3.x, I changed the admin logo to something different per test site.

In the new IPS 4 you have the ability to store and move files to various defined locations. So for example, instead of storing files in the default uploads directory, you can specify a non-web-accessible location for the files. However, when you try this, you need to specify a URL for direct access to the files, so any files moved into the non-web-accessible directory won't be accessible since you can't link to the files via a standard URL. I just started using RC1 and I want to change my custom theme back to how I had it in 3.XX. I have gone to Appearance>theme and opened a couple of templates and CSS. I am having a little problems finding the correct file/template to make the changes I want. There use to be a file that contained the majority of styles, I used, that is what I am looking for. I really am not making a lot of custom changes, just the background color, changing radius size and adding radius to all for corners of H2, generally making my board look a little sleeker. Can you tell me which file contain the majority of css styles?

I am going to upgrade the 3.4.7 to 4.0 RC1. My current 3.4.7 install is in a folder called "forum". I wanted the 4.0 files to be in the root, but I am not sure about friendly URL structure with .htaccess. My main page will be served by Pages, not Forums. If I keep the IPS 4 files in "forum" folder or "whatever folder" or public_html (root), will it interfere in the URL structure? Will the "folder name" be added to the URL?

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone has a demo version of the "commerce" app installed I could browse at all please? The reason I ask is that I'm 50/50 about continuing with IPS as I don't feel it's 100% for me. I purchased IP. Nexus a while back for 3.4.7 and loved it But as I have doubts with IPS 4 I don't really fancy on paying the renewal fee to find out I don't like the Commerce system either. So to selfishly save me a few pennies I was wondering if someone had it on a demo board I could browse just to get a feel and see if it's worth me carrying on with IPS. Thanks

This isn't as much a bug as a request for a change in the way the Profile Fields work on registration. A lot of us have communities with members, and sometime after they have registered we may decide to add a required profile field on signup. That's great for potential new members, and existing members when they go back to edit their profile in future will need to fill out that additional information. However as an Administrator in the ACP we should be able to modify a member's account without requiring to fill in those additional profile fields. In IP.Content of 3.4.7 we have a button to create an article. In Pages of IPS4 i don't see it anywhere. I enter pages, i can see there the content i already have, but i can't create new content. I found that i can create content in the ACP, but my selected users don't have access to it.
