Someone else noticed this? Activating the rating system for forums shows it inside the topic (2nd picture), but not in the topic listing .. it is missing out all the functionality of the rating system if you can't compare it with other topics .. Although in Pages it is only there when reviews are activated .. switching off the reviews and only keep the rating activated will result in the same as rating forums .. it doesn't show in listings. occasionally users typically newbies who have just signed up will make an initial post on the support system (on my old site) I always wished there was a option to move this support item to a forum (if they have a member account) and then provide to them a reply stock answer why it was moved where it was moved to (with a link), as it is so trite to always reply with something like - this is for site support not for answering x questions, but force them to have to pick a forum and retype the post. In the Feature Plan there was one to copy posts to the Articles, so possible that shares some of the same logic would be nice to have even though it may only be used by site admi…

I just upgraded to IP4 from 3.4.7 During the upgrade it asked me if I wanted to convert friends to followers. Like a dummy I chose no because I forgot there are no friends at all now. Is it too late to change my mind and do it? Somewhere in the ACP?

I looked around for a good 20 minutes and didn't see anything yet so I'm posting here. Whenever I search using the AdminCP search it never finds anything in the settings area (like I sat on a page with a certain setting, searched for that setting, and it found nothing). I'm not really sure if this is just because we're still working on RC and not a full release or if I've done something wrong but if someone could give me a direction to go, I'd appreciate it. As you might guess, I REALLY need the search to work as I have no idea where a lot of settings got moved to.

I upgraded to IP4 and my background processes are still running but when I click on any user profile I get error EX1054 I can't see anyone's profile! Is this normal? Which of these background processes are supposed to fix that?

Hello, i saw There is a way in the modcp to géolocalisate the ip of a member. Why don t add This feature for registration to deny or allow someone according to its country ? It would reduce hugely the number of attempt of registration of bots.

are all ACP actions queued up and then executed once the cron task gets around to do them - are there no immediate actions? I had done something then decided i didn't like it and then deleted the action however the item got a tag moving/deleting and its removal wasn't immediate. I had to wait for a slew of other tasks to finish.

I've been trying to remove the layout header throughout the betas and RC's and I'm able to do it no problem, everytime. The issue I experience and I want to check if I'm doing something incorrectly is the following. OK, so now I'm completely confused. I look to the sidebar and see a list of Top Contributors. It's a list of people who have contributed most to the site. But upon further observation, this is now calculated by "Reputation" and not by Posts? I have always separated two activities: Likes/Reputation and Content. I think that most would equate Top Contributors with Top Posters. On my sites I usually have top lists for both -- liked and posters.

Ok, So, i was testing moving the Beta 6 from my VPS to another VPS i have. Everything went fine, but all the link in the Beta 6 on the new VPS have the old domain. I have changed all the values in the conf_global.php to the new IP. So, if it comes the time where we need to change fro ma server to another one, or if we just want to change the Domain of our site, how can we do it? In IPB 3.4.x we just need to change it in the conf_global and it will work.

I've had several issues this morning with the site disappearing unexpectedly, on and off. Ping wouldn't respond either. I thought the DNS issues were a thing of the past and figured I'd mention it. This also gives me the opportunity to see what IPS 4 does with URLs in the title and other characters.

Step 7 is a buggy step. Picks up many errors during upgrade. Just got an error that says /my_root_dir/system/Db/Db.php::1354 Top right has a number 0 If I click retry it just happens over and over.. any ideas?

Are there currently any "test" sites that show the new Pages in action? I have a project coming up that includes writing API documentation and I thought this would be a perfect way to use Pages. A great example of the style I want emulate is the Stripe API documentation.

I remember seeing on someones 4.x site that the Contact Us form had a name and email address required. Is that an option (I can't find it) or something custom they did? It makes a lot of sense. I've received several comments but I have no way to ask for follow-up info, or to let them know what has been done about their suggestion.

pbckcode supports many languages but only 4 are activated. It would be nice if the admin can select the offered languages. In our case we uses mostly LUA and less PHP, JS and so on.
