I have wondered why my database articles are taking so long to get google. I have used "recommended settings" for sitemap. I opened it, and seems default setting is "Do not include database records" Whyyyy is that?

Hi there, in November I want to update my 3.x site to 4.1 – I hope that this time you really publish the final version at the and of October. When I told my users for the first time from the update, were the first questions: Will the chat be better at lenght? I believe that they're right The last update of chat was some years ago I feel. Are changes planned for the next few months? Otherwise I would still looking for a third-party chat, and this would be a shame.

When I upgraded to 4.0 the recount process adjusted all the post counts for my users. In the past we had the ability to skip this. Please give us the option to do that again. I don't want to edit this every time the process runs. Believe it or not some users get really attached to their post counts.

In a former version was the possibility to split the forum domain from the content domain. Like: forum.mysite.com for the forum and magazin.mysite.com for the content I know this feature is not there in V4.x now although there is a way if you install in in the subfolder you can define the root for the content. Pleas this was a very nice and working solution. I had my magazine completely on a different subdomain. Now it's sad that this feature is gone away because now all the content from google is going into deep space ,-). I would love to have it back. Maybe it's not so much work at all. Murmel

Reference topic: It seems that with Commerce you cannot import (convert) legacy subscriptions data, either from when it was an official IPS app or a third party one. This does seem a little odd as Nexus 1.5.9 (on 3.4.x) *will* read the subs data and import it during install. See ~/nexus/modules_admin/convert/convert.php for specifics. The only solution to doing this is to install Nexus 1.5.x on board 3.4.x *before* upgrading to IPS4 as it does not appear possible to do this afterwards. My suggestion is simply to add some code to Commerce to do this if its practical.

I would like to disable the option users have to Import photos from URL in their profile. In 3.X we disabled this and only gave avatars out to those who donated but 4.0 users can import a profile photo at will. Please include an option to disable this.

the pages navigator doesn't count posts correctly to put you onto the right page. If you go here, it offers 45 pages. https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/340209-subscriptions-manager/#comment-2107126 If you click on the link to go to the 45th page, it says 'not found' because there's only enough posts for 44 pages.

Links pointing internally shows up as images, with no possibility to run off this "feature". If a member has internal links in his signature, this takes up A LOT of space, see attached screenshot. Signature takes up more space than the post itself, and I wasn't even able to capture the entire signature with the screenshot. I've been in touch with support which says this is "correct functionality" for IPB. It feels much more like a bug than a feature to me. Could you please at least make it optional with the next upgrade?

I've got an self-hosted IPB-license and just purchased a "40 - Community in the Cloud" package. Setup was really simple, and I had it setup with my own domain in no-time. However I found out that you can't install your own certificate unless you have the 100 users package (to get a dedicated IP) and then you have to purchase IPBs "SSL package". I really think that you should allow users to install their own certificates and install certificates even on the lower plans. Since the servers run cPanel I could only assume thats it's as simple as allowing users to access the "SSL-manager" so we could install our own certificates. On the suggestion of @bfarber I am posting this as a suggestion (and I'm going to add a suggestion to it as well that I've asked for before). Currently the functionality of "Display Format" is, imho, broken. You currently cannot use things like "text" or "URL" fields and be able to display them without the data being preformatted as stated here: The problem with this is that it means that you cannot "format" the output because IPB is already doing something with the content so when you output it, it's already formatted (a link is already linkable). Howdy! So, for the last month/two months I've been fooling around with IPS4 and mainly Commerce. Now, I love the direction its gone since IPS3, modernized and updated for "web 2.0" and such. But, I feel the commerce solution is still a bit lacking and many would still consider it just a plugin, instead of a full commerce solution. Before you grab your pitchforks, hear me out! It would be an awesome feature to be able to select avatars and profile images that way that things don't have to be double uploaded if they are uploaded to the gallery. With this it would be awesome to have the option to "Only allow own images" or "Allow all" with a category option on whether the images can be used for avatars or profile headers. Just a consideration for the future. These options could be done universally with things like the Blog and the calendar as well.

At the moment there is only 2 commerce blocks in the front end block manager, commerce overview and donation goals. Could we get some more? (I know we can create our own blocks, but many owners won't know how.) Would be awesome if we could get more control over the store page, more specifically the "Featured Products" "New Products" and "Popular With Other Customers" sections, could you make them into blocks so we can move them and display them on other pages. When drilling in and out of Shipments, would it be possible to have the tag you select be persistent? So if I select Pending - That's all I see until I switch it back? It resets to All when you go into a Shipment and come out again.

Currently I have a link in my menu for Active Topics and one for New Topics. It basically lets anyone jump straight to the new topics by using the activity stream. The link looks like this: activity/?type=forums_topic&change_section=1 But with 4.1 it doesn't look like this will be possible. Hey guys, So I upgraded to RC2 on the day it came out and everything seemed to have gone smoothly until a member of the forums used an emoticon from the drop down menu. Everytime he tried to navigate to the forums he kept getting a "Error 406 - Not Acceptable then An error has occurred. Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner." Only way to fix it was to clear his cookies. I've not seen it anywhere else so I'm assuming it is something I have/haven't done during the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The removal of dot on new content would let us know what we've read and the dot means has new content. Visually much better than having it on all new posts. If a topic is posted it is bold if unread, and has the blue dot, to got to 1st unread. In the forum this just takes you to post #1 as you have not read it. Is the blue dot really necessary? In the stream also, unless it is a post entry and not a topic (it is useful to get to the first post instead of the newest, serves as a "go to first post" in this case. But that is not its purpose.
