The topic display code is not possible to use in a sensible manner currently with the URL profile fields. If I simply use {content} I only get the URL already inserted within an a-tag. This is of no use, since I naturally don't want the plain URL printed. I want another text to be what you click on. So I would like to do <a href='{content}'>{title}</a>. But that doesn't work. Could you please improve this?

So far I'm batting one in four. The other three apps I have bought bring my site down if I activate them or don't work. Going let these cook post 4.1 for four months or so before even looking at them again. This is a recent upgrade from 3 to 4. Not sure if something could be lurking in the shadows causing problems. I wouldn't know where to even look or start. Do others experience this kind of trouble with apps in the marketplace?

Hey everyone in IPS, I just want to put some more positive reinforcement in the world for you guys again. I know that there is a lot of flack coming around for the 4.x series but I really do love the feel and look. I love the ease of use and the direction of it. I MEAN COME ON, auto updates! My life will be cake soon. With all the hell in my life, IPB/S still makes me happy and I still love the product and the people. Thank you for being you!

I for one really dig the Activity Stream. My only concern is that it seems a little slow. I am hoping this jut means it hasn't been optimized or something. If it ends up being this slow at FCS, I can see this as a real problem with adoption.

The download speeds for the community suite (4.0.13.1) are really slow these days. Just downloaded a copy of the software to perform an upgrade and it was downloading at 8.5KB/s on a 49Mbps connection! Anyone else noticed this?

There is no last post column in the stream like in 3.4 so the pic shown in "Content items only" is the pic of content starter. So in "My Content" it is just a list of my own pic, and I know I made the post, that's what the stream is, it would be much better to show last poster like you do in search, messenger, and "Content items, comments, and reviews." When searching topics the list shows the last poster. In messenger the pic is last sender. In stream and author search, no. I think the last poster pic should replace starter, since there is a lack of a last post column. I can see the benefit of the starter pic but the lack of last poster column makes finding…

Right now, the "Upload" field in IP.Pages seems to just store a URL to the file in question. It would be more powerful & useful if: The URL, MD5 hash, and file size were persisted as a JSON array, for each file Downloads could be tracked (in another table, or incremented as an additional value in the above JSON array)

When I am in an activity stream and I click the circle that says go to new post, it seems to take me to the end. I just tested this on a post that I had not read before. How do I get to the first unread post if I am using the stream? Also, clicking on the title used to simply bring me to the first post, it doesn't seem to do that anymore. Have these processes changed?

There is no context in regards to the duplicate items in this list - yes they are different article databases but to what context. The layperson on a site would have no basis to make an informed decision as to what articles they are referring.

The tabbed navigation in 4.1 applies the .ipsNavBar_active class to <li>'s once the mouse has hovered over the top and stopped moving. For tabbed navigation, this is fine. But if the navigation has been merged into one line (ie. if there is no secondary bar present), the delayed .ipsNavBar_active class should not be applied to hovered navigation links, and it also shouldn't be removed from the actual active page. An example of this can be seen in the announcement video at 8:35. When "Browse" is hovered, the .ipsNavBar_active class is applied to that link and removed from the "View New Content" link. Hello, 3.4 and 4.0 are completly different software and some of us prefer stay on the 3.x serie because 4.x doesn't match with what we want to do with our forum. Why don't release a last x.X.x series to fine tune and improve the software (add some little things useful like : privacy setting, tagging system more efficient, 2step auth etc...). as far as I am concerned some kind of community are not upgradable to 4.x because it is another kind of software and it will break the "soul/spirit" created with 3.4. it could be very interesting for some admin to add some pre4.0 feedback (some things present in xenforo for instance, and implement them in 3.5 etc.) to create a more st…

I hate that the tags don't have appropriate 'tag_seo' item in the database, all the localized tagnames are stored with the national characters, so if my post have some tag with polish letters it's like that in the database and when you copy it to the clipboard it's all messed up with extra encoding % chars. Wouldn't it be nice to have an extra field in `core_tags` say `tag_seo_title` with SEO title generated the same way title seo's are generated (in that way transliteration plugins could be used)?

Currently using Commerce for my online store, it is a lot better than what I was using. The only issue I am seeing is, I offer loads of options for my products, some options change the price of the main product, but at the moment there is no way to add prices to the custom options. Please implement this, as I feel this is the only feature Commerce is missing.

Starting to really use the Commerce module for some real world stuff, physical products. There are a couple of things wrt to the Print function from the Invoice. It would be really amazing, and save enormous amounts of time if it were formatted so that it contained. 1. Billing Address 2. Shipping Address - This should be larger and take up a 1/4 so you can easily fold it to the outside, and slip it into a packing slip envelope and use it for the address on the box. 3. Product details. Right now it will say which shirt, but not the size or color ect... really need the additional field info here so you can use this to pick the orders. Anyone …

Hi there, I have been told to add this idea to this forum from a recent support ticket. I currently run a MMO Guild's Website using the Community Suite, and several guild members have asked how to donate to maintain the website and keep it going etc. Since I use Paypal myself for various other things I didn't want the fear of 'spending someone else's cash for my stuff' So I asked if there was a way for non admins to donate cash directly into my IPS Account as an account credit.
