The AA stream auto updates, very cool. But it is kind of pointless... If the intent is for people that keep the stream open and like to read new results as they come in, why make them click every time? It should automatically load. Makes reading a stream much easier. Hands-free. Maybe it is not designed for that? Okay then... If the intent is to load new results as you are scrolling and viewing the stream, it is pointless because it is at the top and never seen, everything loads at the bottom. Maybe put it at the bottom (also?), or floating at the top of the window, so we know. Or similar to the alert at the bottom for topics. We don't know unless we scrol…

This one of those "for fun" blue sky suggestions that's maybe not so unrealistic. I was going to write a sassy post on how we're so afraid of everyone hitting delete and wiping out the community ... goodness gracious, we don't trust Members to delete their own content, we don't allow Club Owners to delete content, and now we don't trust Moderators or Admins to delete content with the new delayed deletes. Introducing the new Cloud Delete, a new service by IPS that will archive and store any deleted content for restoration.

Some users (including me actually) are facing random double posts ever since we moved to IPS 4. We submit a post ONLY ONCE (I am not an idiot, I pressed just once), but SOMETIMES the post got published twice and we get a double post with the exact same content. If the "merge double posts" option is enabled, then we get one post but with twice its content (so if I reply "hello world" the post will show "hello world hello world"). I couldn't find out why is this happening, especially because it if completely random. But there is a possible fix for this - simply don't allow double posts with the exact same content. I was wondering if you can make IPS\core\Messenger\Conversation implement IPS\Content\Lockable so that a message can be locked. I think this is beneficial if an admin sends a message and does not want a reply and potentially a user locking a message to another user. Or having a third member as a viewer of a Conversation but it is locked to them but not all members of that Conversation. Thanks

I'd like to see better logging in 4.2. Right now, logs are maintained in multiple tables in the database and only really viewable by the admin in the ACP. I suggest you incorporate a logging framework like Monolog which would be used to send a log message each time IPS4 updates a log table in the database. I'm running my website in Docker and send my logs (for nginx and other services) over the network to a logging server where they can be monitored. IPS4 logging hasn't really fit into this deployment really well because it doesn't support syslog or other methods for capturing admin logs for monitoring/alerting purposes and you have to "poll" the database for u…

When adding multiple renewal options there should be an options node allowing you to adjust the base price. For instance, if the default price of your package is $10.00 and you have two renewal options for $30.00 a month and $60.00 a year your base price should change accordingly. As of right now the only options are to add to base price (10.00 + 30.00/60.00 = 40.00/70.00) Sure you can adjust the base price and or the renewal price but the value will not be true. I was unable to find a work around which forced me to create multiple packages.

Shouldn't there be some sort of prompt for the user letting them know the funds have been applied and now their total account credit is X ??? It's really confusing to apply gift card funds and have it just pop off the screen. I am guessing everyone tries to apply the credit again right away.

The "Show upcoming events" calendar widget does not display the day of the month number when on side panel view. It shows up just fine when the widget is in the main column, top or bottom.

This should be a very simple fix for you, but it's really a pitty that I don't find members with short / easy names, because there are too many users containing this word in their nicknames too. I was looking for the user "demo". So why it isn't listed as best match on the top. It was not even listed at all in that list..

Many times users register to the community using their Facebook, Twitter or other services and use their profile image from this social networks as IPS profile image. But they can delete their profile image from this services and it results in 404 error in IPS profile image. Please add the image proxy cache for profile images also. Thanks!

It would be convenient if there was an easier way to Message back a Member who reported a Post. They typically add a Message with the report and Moderator or Admin needs to go to their profile to Message them back or start a new Message to reply to them.

Hi! I have a suggestion about polls. I created a separate forum for polls and I have an issue with this. I would like to make this forum exclusive for polls created only by administrators. But I would like to let other groups to create polls somewhere else. At the moment, I can either allow a whole group to create polls everywhere or block polls for everyone in a certain forum. This would help everyone with managing forums with polls.

I find the current way of creating and displaying polls to be a bit backwards. I want my content to be before the poll so I can explain the poll's purpose and maybe give some extra information about the choices. Any way to do that?

I think it would be a great idea to minimize the like button area in the news homepage in responsive because the list of everyone who liked the article covers the "Continue reading" button. I think that is way more useful than everyone who liked the article. If you look towards the bottom of the image, you can see what I mean. I think that a good solution would be to make the list slide out when you click an arrow "<" next to the like button. Here is a crude mockup that I did on my phone (don't have access to a laptop at this very moment) but I think it gets the point across. Thank you!

At the bottom of every topic, blog post e.t.c there are two links with left and right arrows. These links are very useful, but their clickable areas extend on whole width of the page. So the empty area at the center is clickable to, which may confuse users and cause unintentional clicks. Please, make these clickable areas smaller:

Rss feeds are cool right now but are a little lacking. So this is a suggestion I think would help. Pulling of an rss feed (as we have now via widget) but with the ability to pull up the thumbnails from videos or images from articles. And have them display in either a vertical list in the sidebar, much like how @opentype has done so in the supergrid app. And its widget. I think the benefits of being able to pull off-site content and displaying it in a beautiful manner like this would be great for a lot of sites. Personally, I would use it to pull and display in a pretty way rss feeds for youtube channels and possibly articles my users might be interested in…
