This is a personal bugbear of mine, users who for some reason persist in quoting (in full) a large post which is the first post in a topic, when they are adding the first reply. It seems totally unnecessary to me, creating more scrolling/swiping to get past the quoted content, especially on mobile devices. I'd love to see an option that prevents users from being able to quote the first topic in full when adding the first or second reply of a topic. I know someone will quote this post now! I guess I asked for it!

Could you update the Stripe gateway so that it sends any available customer data to Stripe. It seems to include the user_id in the transaction metadata but it would help with reconciliation if it could also send the login or email where available.

May I please congratulate Invision Power Services on their kindness in helping me with my board, as a registered blind person IPB 4.1 is an absolute godsend to me, nice to work with, and the staff and help are brilliant. You have made the suite that I can now use myself, or its very easy now to get help, and members really want to help. Its nice to still be able to do things myself and 4.1 allows me to do that, for how long I dont know, but for now I can and its a joy at last. Once again congratulations and thank you. prior to IPB we could attach files or scripts to forum posts and see exactly how many times people have downloaded them, this was a good way to visually see the popularity of a post and it's something i really miss in the new product. I've raised a ticket asking how do i see this info but was told it's just not present in this version, why not ? it WAS there prior to the upgrade, so that's a feature that is removed, please ADD the feature back as I really liked it and i'm sure others do too thank you ! niall.

Hello ! Using IPB on an iPhone is... impossible and makes it impossible to read topics on your board (unless you have very very few forums on your board). Are you planning to do something to allow us to use the desktop version on iPhones ? Thank you.

On this site, the blog widget on the sidebar that lists the new blog entries automatically takes you to the most recent comment even if you haven't read the original blog entry. I'd like to read the blog entry before jumping to the comments.

I would like to see Member Searches implemented like Activity Streams. That is, a set of predefined Member Searches are included with the Admin being able to add site-specific searches to the list. And, the user may add custom searches to the list. Already IPS4 has Content Searches covered by the Activity Streams feature, but I don't see how to save Member Searches to make it easier for checking the profiles of lists of members I am repeatedly interested in. The Follow feature is sort of like this, but you have to explicitly add a member to add them to the Followed Member Search list.

I am a current IPS customer. I recently just purchased commerce, blogs, and gallery. My original renewal fee for Pages and Forums (two applications I owned prior to purchasing the aforementioned three) was $40.00. After adding the new licenses, this fee went up to $95.00. I'm pretty sure I don't need to renew the products I just now purchased, so I opened a support ticket about it. The ticket was passed to management and then it seems it has been ignored. I'm trying to get my IPS community up and running and moved from Xenforo - please help with this incident.

I had a local customer purchase 2 suites for his 2 domains yesterday. I got everything set up and was walking him through the cart process. I of course want to tailor the commerce app to flow as he expects. Please keep in mind this customer can barely turn his desktop on, what I hear from him is pretty much raw feedback from the simplest aspect/view. The products he sells doesn't require someone to make a online purchase thus the checkout process should not be made available. It confuses the end user in thinking they can make a purchase. hi, I've been out of the loop since v4 was introduced. And I wonder has this been implemented yet in IP.Commerce where you can sell game serial numbers. For example when you are adding a package you just enter a whole bunch of serial keys in a new line and when a purchase is made a buyer receives one of these numbers? Kind of like selling tickets but less complicated than that. If not - you could introduce that. I bet it would be well received. Also I hope that these numbers once entered can be somehow encoded in case that of if hacking happened that all the serials would not be lost.

Hi, why don't you offer the possibility to sort records inside of the databases so that this order can be used in blocks. My use case: I am using a block for a sidebar navigation menu and I had to setup a custom field which allows me position my records in the navigation. The efforts to maintain that (for example when I want to add a record inbetween two other records) is too much. The code I am using to get the sorted records is: {{$records = $recordClass::getItemsWithPermission( array(), 'LENGTH( '. $database->field_sort .'), ' . $database->field_sort . I am not really sure how others feel about the upcoming release of 4.2 and what it has to offer. For me, the updates are of no use to me. I will admit Clubs is a cool addiction for most sites. But for mine, it is something we just don't need and something else I would have to keep up with. No one would use it anyway and would be a complete waste of time. I have stated numerous times on the forums that the download system needs some updating and although there are some updates coming, the updates do not meet our needs. Currently, the Pages app only comes with an Articles page (complete with an Articles database). I assume that IPS, on this site, uses Pages itself internally to implement most of the pages that are generated by IPS4 apps. If this is true, I'd like to see you start bundling a generic version of each of these Pages. I would like to create a topic feed block with topics without replies. In the current settings it's not possible, as long as the only option is "minimum posts". There is no "maximum posts" to be set to zero replies. I know that in the next IPS 4 versions, the block setting options is going to be improved. So this is my suggestion, make possible a block for topics without replies.

I'm pretty sure that IPS4 is not transaction safe when using MySQL INNODB engine. I require transactions to prevent database corruption and replication. Could this feature be implemented by: disabling AUTOCOMMIT when establishing a db connection explicitly sending a COMMIT before closing the connection adding a method to the DB class for an IPS4 app to explicitly COMMIT/ROLLBACK the changes made in the current transaction, opening a new transaction for the db session. I really wish there was a way to split the block where the article displays. There should be the Article Content block and the Article Comments block. My primary reason for this is so that I could put other blocks in between them... either Ads or Related Content blocks.

I have a bit of an issue with using Commerce for free products. Great application, and almost perfect for my cause! However, the issue is when I create a product for $0 (this is my demo download), the sign up form contains required billing info that you can see I highlighted in red. I feel that this can potentially scare off sign ups which would lead to a demo download. My suggestion is to remove the required Billing Information from products that cost $0. There is no need for billing information if these products are free. I am wondering if anything can be done about this? Thanks!

Most people are tending to post a message on another members' wall instead of using the private message system. I can see how this is confusing because when you click on a members profile, there is a big message that says "Leave a message on ______ users's feed". People are getting confused because they don't know the difference between posting on their wall feed versus sending a private message. My suggestion is to remove the big prompt about leaving a message on their feed and simply add another button (next to the send private message) for posting to the wall feed. When a product has custom fields that are used to vary the price the the Commerce landing page show the price as being 'From £XX.XX'. However for some of our products this is a bit misleading; for example we sell event tickets where the main price might be £20.00 but children under 5 can attend for free. In these instances I would like the Commerce Dashboard to feature the base price of £20.00 and not the discounted price which is just for the under 5's. Can you give us the option to feature either the 'base' or the 'lowest 'price please. Also the a product is free the featured price shows as £0.00; I think this looks a bit odd so can you just display it as 'FREE'…
