Why are there no decent themes that are free? I used to use phpBB and they had so many free resources, especially themes. People here charge exorbitant amounts for such small addons or features.

Hello, sometime depend on differents categorys maybe is second to think which category should be placed the topic? Is possible or some plugin there, or should be part of core feature, when or after created the topic author can assign it in more than one category, so when viewing the topic user can see that topic is under other category too.

This is probably the wrong section to put this, but I didn't know which one suit it best. I did some searching for marketplace refunds and I'm not having much luck finding any useful information. Who do I contact and where about getting a refund for a plugin/application purchase from the Invision Marketplace? I purchased a plugin quite some time ago and several attempts to contact the developer later, I haven't received a single response, even after leaving a poor review on the plugin itself stating the lack of support. The plugin has never worked for me regardless of my many attempts, and is now not needed due to some of the recent updates to the core Invision ap…

This isn't considered to be a bug so I've been asked to post in feedback instead. Not all of us use English on our sites. And not all of our languages behave like English. One of the problems for me is that the language string guidelines is used in the Guest Terms Bar ("See our Guidelines") but is also the title of the page Guidelines. This puts me in a difficult position because the word guidelines has different grammatical roles in the two situations. It does in English too (in the former it's a direct object); we just don't indicate the change in role anymore in English, unless using pronouns. In my language (and in the Slavic languages, such as Russian,…

Would it be possible to add another Privacy Setting to clubs such as an open/closed club. So the setting would be "Everyone can see the club and who's in it, but only members can see posts and participate. Everyone can join." This type of club would allow members to freely join. It would prevent club posts from Public Clubs that they are not interested in from appearing in the discover area since they would not be able to see the posts.

Those options are available now in database configuration: It would not hurt if randomized and sorted by views options would be available. I would like to sort articles randomized so people would find all sorts of entries from my database. Also by views option might help to show most popular articles.

Hey Folks, A couple of years back, before they changed it, Discourse used to show detailed cross referenced thread info in the main topic body and right hand gutter of a thread. It showed which threads were mentioned in the current topic and comments, and also showed the reverse - which threads mentioned the current topic or its comments. See below. It was a fabulous feature and although I haven't shown this above, also rendered the same links in comments, allowing an intricate web to be woven. For quick fire forums I guess it would be of little use, but for more in depth forums having this ability would be great. I mocked up sim…

We need the ability to have items in the store only available to club members. Is that something possible currently (I wasn't able to find a way) or can it possibly be integrated into a future release?

Hi there, In IPB 3.x, saved actions (or moderation actions) were ordered alphabetically. Now, in IPB 4.x, it looks like it is ordered in the order of creation, which means that all 30+ of the actions we had before are in an apparently random order. Can we have back simply the ability to have saved actions in alphabetical order? If not that, having the ability to reorder them ourselves would be very fine as well. But this random order/order of creation business is slightly bothersome, particularly for those of us who use a lot of them.

Here is an idea, maybe better suited for 3rd party plugin. Devs - feel challenged ? Actually its not mine, I just read it from @Upgradeovec in another topic, but want to expand on it: I think such functionality can be huge! We all know that topics can get big and unmanageable. Typical scenario is 100 people asking questions, which are being answered by 2-3 experts. It will be great if we can easily browse only the "expert" answers in a long topic. It will make it much easier to comb through the haystack for valuable information. How do you recognize whose post you want to read? Usually within the first or second page of a topic you can notice who is the …

Can we please get an option to easily rename "Clubs" into something else? What kind of terminology fits better varies a lot from website to website. For gaming websites, "Guilds" might be a better word. Or "Cabals". Some places might prefer "Teams". It all depends on the nature of the website. I'm only just beginning to explore Clubs and making use of it, and I'm very impressed so far. It seems like an incredibly powerful new feature, but for my site the term "Clubs" is very out of place, and it feels like that could be the case for a large number of sites out there just by thinking about it.

It would be great if I could hide the store categories so I don't expose store items which aren't online yet. Considering the fact that each product needs to be in a category and categories can't be hidden - there are NO, NADA, ZERO surprises for visitors to the store. They see everything regardless if it's ready or not. I've resorted to using my own code (which is a pain in the A$$) to hide categories for products I'm still working on. Maybe I'm missing someone. A little slow. If that happens to be the case, please enlighten me as to how to hide the categories in the store. Thanks!

Hello, this happened to us once, and we could save it with only creating a permanent 301 redirect for the old existing link, (that was appearing in search results and was a frequently used topic with backlinks to it) Moderators, usually are needed to merge new topics into existing old ones, so as to not have double discussions of the same subject, and to guide new members to the older existing answers where they can read or ask more. Its a relatively not risky permission to give to a moderator. When you merge topic B into topic A the url link of the topic you selected (B) is deleted. Old links though, have an importance with seo. So…

Suggested to me by a member. Especially when you're pasting images into the editor, but also when reviewing attachments associated with your account, it would be useful to be able to rename them to make certain files easier to find, so that they can be referred to elsewhere.

I had neatly formatted my blog entry (see attached file) and somewhere inbetween a bbcode color tag, not because i want formatted color but because it's needed as part of my feature documentation of my game. All my ordered lists after that tag completely break down, of course unrecoverable (because there is no edit history!) and I had to reformat everything again. Took me 3 full repairs until i figured out it's due to the color bbcode tag. Extremely frustrating. I'm on the latest version of invision community. test.html

How about it? Colour-coded events could be really useful if you're using a calendar to log different kinds of events, e.g. different jobs meetings for different projects, vacation time when one isn't available, and so forth. Would help a lot to get a sense of things at a glance, especially if you're using a Month view and you could control the colour of the event bars in each day. Hey, we could even get fancy and offer the option of listing a legend on the Calendar screen.

Just played a bit on my test board. In my inbox folder are around 20 thousand messages from the last ten years. If I want to reach a message from the beginning or some years ago I have to scroll down maybe 500 hours. This is not well designed and should be improved. Search for messages doesn't work right also if they are older than maybe 6 months. Mass selection of searched messages should be also possible. Thanks.

Simple as the title. Right now it is set to "all time" (no other filter) which for those of us with communities 15 years old, is useless. I'd love to be able to find the top content each week and promote (manual or automated) to Facebook. Fun times. Thanks and hope you guys can make this update!

We have begun using the rules feature for the forum display, setting out the rules of individual rules for each forum just below the header. It's a great feature because it's very visible and it's hard to miss, particularly if you use bold colours to draw the attention of users to it. There's a flaw though, resulting from the introduction of the 'Create' button. The button is in the header and is available site-wide. Because of this, users can create a thread in a forum having never navigated to the forum and, therefore, having never read the specific rules of that forum. Example The rules: Creating a topic Selecting the forum (the one f…

To whom it may concern, I had recently emailed support asking if there was a way to enable forum signatures on the mobile devices or for non-logged in users. Apparently this is not possible without theme customization. Forum signatures are very important in our business because we require some of our members to add a disclaimer in their signature that they work for a clinic. This provides our readers with the knowledge that certain information might be coming from a paid representative rather than a non-paid member. Moreover, moderators include a statement that they are not medical professionals which is also important as we don’t want our advice to b…

Hello. I would like to know if statistics will be developed for Blogs (number of visitors per day and per article for example). That is missing today.
