Hello, Just updated to the most current version of IPB, I was already on 4 to begin with. Whenever I try to save a usergroup I am getting this error - "Please select a value that is no less than 1". I have tried making new groups and using different computers, the problem remains. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

I'm wanting to check if a database field is empty within a template. In this case, it's using a YouTube URL and if it is in an article, I want to change how an article is displayed. Users trying to save a reply to content, system says 'saving', but then refreshes the page. Happens on occasion with not allowing new content to be saved. Which means that a post tha tmight have taken a few hours to design, is lost. (Yes, I am now saving all posts prior to hitting submit). Anyone see anything like this, any work arounds?

Small question. In the ACP when I have the default IPB skin active all is ok as far as icon images go... But when I do this, and change to BlueBoh theme as can be seen in the following image... It works fine in the main site as the theme is going active when I hit Save but this is what happens in the ACP...... This has affected all pages in the ACP and not restriced to Themes... Any thoughts and solutions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi I added a custom link in general configuration which was working quite nicely and used to look like this http://www.outdoormuckers.co.uk/forum/2-first-steps/ Now all of a sudden it looks like this http://www.outdoormuckers.co.uk/forum/forums/forum/2-first-steps/ Therre was a very strange hiccup and I ran the support to fix errors because the menu links changed for some wierd reason after I added a temporary test logo image Any ideas what is happening please? I have purchased the Downloads App and am simply stunned that it does not include something as rudimentary as password protecting specific downloads/files. Caveat Emptor and all that. Since IPB has a no refunds policy in place, we need to figure out a way if we can somehow use it and make it work for us. The nature of our site has a clients area, but only certain people have purchased certain products. Our choice is to either create a usergroup / permissions for every download file we offer and then edit each member to assign permissions for that download. Obviously that would be pure nonsense to do it that way. Alternatively, we can add a Password field and issue passwor…

this been driving me crazy for the past week, Ive been trying to swap the background placeholder for the header with a widgetContainer i want to place a plugin i have to replace the background color/image while keeping the menu's overlaid on top (ive tried everything; i cant get it to show behind everything; it remains stacked) any ideas?

This is embarrassing but I can't seem to find where to control what payment methods are available to the Commerce donations widget. Checkout offers every payment I have active (which includes *a lot* of manual methods that are used by various projects. I'd like to use Paypal and Stripe and perhaps one manual method. Where do I configure that?

It appears that the rules I had in place previously with 3.4.8 regarding search engine indexing have been removed or overwritten. I have forums that I do not want crawled or indexed as they're "Off Topic" chit-chat sort of threads and not meant to be indexed by Google. I'm not seeing where I can disable this in the backend, and forget how this was achieved in 3.4.X since it was done years ago. Any help?

Does the IPS api have function(s) to test for what forum is being displayed? Or what category Or if it’s on the main page? Example ( pseudo code): If (is_forum(x)) { Put this html code out; } else { Put this html code out; } Same idea applies to all. I would then put this into template and use. Hey, I was editing some things on my site today, using version 3.4.8 and I've made something go wrong. I was editing the default group that is assigned in the conf_global.php file and now it seems that anyone who is not an administrator recieves the following error: Visiting the site url yields this notice and although I can still sign in with my administrator account, clicking register also gives this notice. Strange error after updating from 3.4.8 to 4.0.11. Example: https://vpsboard.com/topic/2463-list-of-community-links/ this thread I created in 2013. The links 'should' work, but you'll see they only reload the page / link to the page that they're displayed on. This also goes for member signatures... Every member who had a signature with a URL in it going to their own website or elsewhere is now broken. When the URL is clicked, it only refreshed the page that the signature is displayed in. I am hoping to upgrade to 4 soon. Once my new theme is completed I want to make the leap over to 4. I've been testing/learning about 4 on a dev site for several weeks now. Hi there, I have just upgraded to 4.0.12 and all my forum's javascript is dead. This supposes that no one can post anything, neither interact with the forum. Is anyone here paying attention to advertisement counter in IPS4 backend -> system -> advertisement? It's counter is running fast for global header and global footer placement. I am running google ads and its number is not matching nor even close by 10 times with google adsense counter. Is there is any bug on this or some config issue that I don't know.....!

Hello, I'm looking for a totally layout-similar solution to the Last Topics widget. I know that I can use a customized post feed, however the layout does show the message, and I would like to just keep it simple showing just the subject, and last reply info, just like topics are being shown in "Last Topics" widget. My cache is totally wonky, and I am wondering if the post install CHMOD values given to me were wrong. You see my IPS download was missing install directions and support gave me this list:. They mentioned no recursives either. When I say wonky, they just don't seem to be updating when they should. Also, My site was down 6 hours all because my site and admin CP needed re-cached. But the admin CP couldn't re-cache anything because it needed re-cached itself. Here is a database query to help others that may find this via a search. This will force a re-cache.
