Hi More a question that IPB staff can answer than anything else... I am creating member hubs within my community. One for standard members, one for subscribers, and one for site staff. As part of that I want to use the articles database to create an articles database for each of those groups. I get I can export the structure and import it to a new database. Ideal (if only I could import/export records, but that is asked in another post). My question is about what would happen during upgrades. Would any upgrades to the articles database only be reflected on the original? What about new demo articles etc? I ask because some of those articles will only be…

I'm trying to write a SQL query that will SELECT all forums that are readable (i.e., where the "Read Topics" permission is checked) for a specific Permissions Set (e.g., perm_name = 'Member Forum Mask'). Hope that makes sense. Really appreciate any help. Thanks!

On V3 we let members upload profile photos up to 170x200 pixels, or 170x250 pixels for people who have donated to the site. Is there a way to set that up to work the same way in V4? I've already changed the post template to use the full size photo, but it seems impossible to restrict what people upload.

I have converted from VB5 to IPS 3 and then upgraded to IPS4, but there's no old private messages available when you check your profile. I can see that their all in the database and adding new messages work. Any idea ?

I would like users directed to a specific page on logout. I have accomplished this with the exception of areas: the notification area, the conversation area (computer,tablet,phone) directed to ipb logout page instead of the index page anywhere using (tablet,phone) directed to IPB logout page instead of the index page Any thoughts?:)

We have tried to incorporate the SSO single sign. The forum is the slave and the main site is the master. This set up can't be changed due to the requirements of the master. In any event, what we have found is the session for the master will be abruptly terminated but you are still logged into the forum slave. Sometimes this occurs soon after login, sometimes it takes a while. I have been on the forum for hours without being automatically being logged out on the forum slave, but will be logged out of the master... Any suggestions?

When a user gets a email they have a pm waiting the button they click takes them to the wrong login page. Where and how do I change that to a custom page I created? As well, if they are already logged in should I not be trying to send them to the pm page instead of the login?

I have an intermittent error where I try to logout while I am on forum using my computer and the latest version of IE and got this message. It appeared to prompt me to download something? “Do you want to open or save ipsconnect.json (20 bytes) from mywebsite.com Open Save Cancel” Another member posted this on my forum. "I signed out and noticed I didn't get signed out and instead got an error page: {"status":"BAD_KEY"}”

Hello, I tried 2 days ago on my site to convert xenforo to ipb but it didn't worked as expected.First the import of attachments didn't worked i became an error like this ; Could not locate attachment file and even the most of the avatars were missing i did all correctly. I was testing this on my server with Plesk 12 and Ubuntu 14.04 i think there's a bug. Regards

Currently a group name is a required field, which is fine for the back end, but I would like to hide the group name from actually showing up on the board. Is this possible to do? For instance, the Moderators group is "Moderators", I would like to use a custom image that stands out more, which says "Moderators", I can easily add this, but then there is the word "Moderators" in text right above the custom image that says "Moderators". If anyone can tell me how to disable the display of group names on the board, I would really appreciate it. Would be nice if by removing (hiding) the name, I could also adjust the empty space where the word would have been. Thank you…

I've been looking at this for days and tried making it work with ips. http://tympanus.net/codrops/2013/07/01/view-mode-switch/ I succeed in getting it to switch but i had issues with changing the looks of both views, im wondering if anyone has achieved this as i would really love to overhaul my articles section and this would be great! Tbh this should be a default feature because its so easy to do yet powerful. Especially with pages. having something in the store like this would be good too.

Guys I've got my navbar as: I want to change the text colour from white (#fff) to '#005E8F'. I had thought that: .ipsMenu_title{ background: #005E8F; } would do the trick when added to custom.css but it seems not. Can anyone advise what I'm missing please?

Hey guys, So I've looked everywhere to find a solution for this issue, but I cannot find one. I don't know if this has been asked here before but here it is. This is IP.Board 4 and I've run the support thing, but it didn't help. When I click on my profile or some of my members profiles I get a EX0 error. I've looked at my database for member ID's that don't exist and I can't find any. Is there any way to disable the "Recent Profile Visitors" block from user profiles, site wide? I'd prefer nobody could see who is viewing profiles. I am using ips4 on cloud.
