I've started using ip.downloads, but have a weird issue. If I set the storage area to my own server it lets me upload a maximum of 500Mb. However, if I use my Amazon S3 it limits it to 95Mb, which is the same as my forum upload. Is there a way to increase the maximum upload for Amazon S3?

Hello, One of the biggest competitors of my forum are not other forums but actually Facebook groups. My forum is on a niche topic (like the majority forums I suppose) and lately I started to notice that Facebook groups about the same topic as my forum are getting more and more active. It is very hard to compete with emerging bottom-up, more democratic platforms because they have certain advantages that I can not offer. Especially visibility and self-governance. I was wondering if there is any possibility to somehow integrate Facebook and the IPB? I believe the future of forums will be self-governing, democratic, flexible platforms. Hello, we have a managed server with php 5.6 and php7 available. That's perfect. But today we found out that crons can only be executed with php 5.5 max. We contacted our provider regarding this issue and they told me that using CLI only php5.5 is possible and they have no plans for the near future (or maybe they don't tell me them yet). They suggested to use wget for executing crons. Is there any way to start the ipb tasks using wget? I'm just asking because .14 will be the last release supporting php5.5.

I have 3 sites, 1 live, 1 dev and 1 test. I have created an app, and there is a pagetitle set as 'matches' for one of the pages. On the dev site, the pagetitle shows as 'matches'. So I have built the app, and downloaded it, then uploaded it to the test and live site. On the test site the pagetitle shows as 'matches' But on the live site the pagetitle shows as 'Home' Any ideas what might be causing it?

I'm still "testing" the conversion from 3.4 and I am so far very delighted...everything pretty much went by the numbers! Nice! I am running into a slight snag when it comes to the min-calendar block, it's not showing as an option and when I go to the Block and Edit, I get the following error. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the issue?

Hello, i just wanted to start installing my test board. So i uploaded everything and started the Installation. Everything went fine till the end. It says "Setting up database" and then works a few minutes. After some time i get the following error: and the error code 1062 (i think its an error code ^^). I tried it several times, but its not working. What am i doing wrong? Greetings

I know this has been asked before, but searching the community I don't see that any topics have been answered correctly. I want my guests to be able to view one category, and one forum in topic view. Right now guests can only see the title of the forum, and not a list of topics within that forum. If you login as a member and only have permissions to view that one category and one forum you can see posts in topic view just fine. Suggestions? The first image is what the guest sees currently. The second image is what I would like the guest to be able to see on the index page.

I run a fairly decent sized forum 56k+ members with an average of 500+ people on at any given time. However, occasionally the "most online" statistic will jump up by a few thousand. For instance today it said it was 6k when before the highest was around 2500, looking at Google Analytics don't see a huge increase in page views, nor a big spike in new registrations. Most of the visitors were guests. Is there any explanation for this? I did notice a higher than normal server load.

Hello. A while ago I enable this option here 5. Use .htaccess protection for your AdminCP But I made the mistake of putting my own admin password. And now the other admins can't login, and I can't give my info to them. Is there any way to revert this? Appreciate any help.

Hello. I am new to using IPS. Regarding my skill level, I'm a beginner. I purchased the Envision 4.1.x skin by IPBForo.com. I need screen share tutoring with someone who can patiently show me how to set up and customize my site. I'm looking for a good teacher. I have successfully installed everything. I have made a few edits, but am already encountering dead-ends. I need someone to develop a collapsing menu plugin for our IP content database of car classifieds that we are using. I am ready to pay 100 USD for this feature. Just to be clear, we want the following: 1) Ability to choose on a per-database basis which databases use collapsible menus on the front end. We have an issue where we are importing an RSS feed of calendar events into a forum as there seems no way to make a post advising of a new calendar event. When we import the RSS feed from the calendar the date of each post is set to the date of the event - not ideal at all. One of the biggest issues with this is that in the activity stream these posts are always at the top due to their date in advance. Does anyone know of an app or similar to be able to change the date of the topic - or some other way around our issue. Thanks!

I am torn between allowing remote images or not. Our community is image heavy, we post images for everything. My biggest concern is by allowing remote images in topics and posts, someday they may delete their remote image account, or wherever the remote image is being served from, and the topic or post looks bad with empty image links now. But, on the other hand, folks like remoting images in from their photo server such as Photobucket and others. What is your opinions on this? Thanks for any feedback.
