IPSIntNewb
Hi All, I installed IPB as a subdomain...example: forum.XYZ.com however when I installed it a few months back I did so using http. Now however I have an SSL certificate. How can I change all URLs to make the site, site-wide SSL secure? http to https? I have tried changing the "global config" file via FTP from http to https as "base-url" however it keeps going back to http after I save and upload. Not sure what else I can do? Any thoughts? Thanks. opentype
Clearing the cache in the ACP and making sure that you don't use absolute URLs on your site, e.g. in the menu manager.

But the rest of the site just wont switch. 11 hours ago, Rhett said:
Rhett
This indicates that your permissions on the conf_global.php file are not proper (writable) when trying to edit, so your changes are not being saved, check your permissions first on that file, then edit and save, then you should be good.
