Hey so I've got a few questions about IPB plugins/hooks; 1) I'm running IPB 3.4.8 and I don't want to upgrade to 4+ because I'm comfortable with how this works, and my community is established, no need for me to retstart. With that being said, will plugins developed for 4.0, 4.1 etc work on my version (3.4.8)? 2) If not, where can I get 3.4.x plugins/hooks? I know IPB has discontinued development for 3.4.x but I still need some and I figured there have got to be places around that still offer older material thanks

How can I create a link that will generate the forum rules popup? To be clear, I have the automatically generated link that is displayed on each forum when you've selected "Show link to rules" in the display settings of the forum. What I want to do is manually create an inline link to the same popup, specifically in the description for the forum. Is that possible?

We're looking to use a multi select box on our one submission forms (in this case, facilities at a business). This is then naturally stored in the database as an array. I can print the array with the standard call to the field within the pages template. But was wondering if there's an easy way to perform queries on that array. Such looking for value X in the array and if true, then showing something. In practice, we're wanting to see if a facility array contains the value Swimming Pool and then show a tick next to the text Swimming Pool, and if there is a value in the array called Camping, then show a tick next to the text "Camping'. Tried to set the storage path on forum running latest version now the site won't load and from what I've been reading it's File Storage configuration corrupt. I'm trying to add topic count back to forumrow but the old function doesn't want to count sub forums. {{if $forum->topics}} <span class='ipsType_light'></span> {$forum->topics} {{endif}}/ {{if $forum->posts}} <span class='ipsType_light'></span> {$forum->posts} {{endif}} The above works great other than the fact it doesn't count subs. Any idea?

Hi everyone. If I were to create a forum section in my forums for a group or product of a partner, then we split ways in the future, is it possible to migrate that forum section to their own IPS account if they open one? Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks

Hi Folks Does anybody know how to create events set to happen on every X Sunday of the month? Our club has various events each weekend, and 2 of those events happens every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, but the calendar only seems to allow me to pick a date rather than choosing the same day each month. Any help greatly appreciated.. Thanks Rich

Hey guys. It's been a while since I've posted at IPS.. I have a question. Does anyone (at all) here still use IP.Board 2.3.x (that could include a demo board) at all? I know and understand that 2.3.x was discontinued for support and downloads years ago, but I still have it/use it. I have a new board I installed a few weeks ago as I wanted to bring back an old clan and I'm just trying to sort things out on it. I've done my own security updates/patches and fixed some bugs in the version I'm using and have modded it to my liking. The Admin CP is or will be modded when I've finished with it. Hi. I start to convert my vBulletin 4.2.3 to ipb today version ( 4.1.19.4 ) . I see a strange effect so I ask. I can see all users, even private messages and convert them, but I can not see the posts, say, if my forum had 10 thousand messages, I do not have them, nor the categories, nor anything. Could it be that the converter "only" translates the users but not the messages? I find it very strange because in the original database they are fine.

We've styled our reviews template to be different to the default, but when a user clicks on 'This review was helpful', it seems to display a new template which include a new template, which hasn't got our new adjusted styling to it. I've looked and looked, but can't find any theme or page template that is being used as that display (once a user has clicked that button). I can see that it pulls through the theme template "reviewhelpful" but even a search for "reviewhelpful" in themes and page templates don't turn up any results.

What I mean is this. Yes responsive ads work and fit for different screens but on my xenforo install ads will at times be taller and more of the box shaped in IPS it seems they are always a small banner.
